I had the same dentist from elementary school through college. When I moved to Contra Costa County it took me a little while to find the perfect dentist. Dr. Tsang is hands down the best dentist I've been to. He is patient and listens to find the best solution each and every time. He's so good now both my kids ages 6 and 4 sees him. Wow, I can't wait for my next 6 month cleaning! First of all, Dr. Tsang makes seeing the dentist without insurance easy and affordable. His staff is friendly and his office very nice. Most of all, the patients while my visit were very happy and smiling. This is the best dentist I have been too, no scamming, thorough exam with photos and X-rays. Now to the cleaning, they use a high water pressure device to break up the tartar and minimal scraping. Much more comfortable than the old fashioned way! It's nice to look up for once and see the sky and palm tree's (modern light covers). Dr. Tsang and the assistant were both friendly, kept the conversation general and naturally made me feel included. Very professional and caring people. Lastly, no matter how young or old, he reminds you of how to brush and floss appropriately. He packed me a to go goody bag with an electric toothbrush, floss and mini toothpaste. Also, offer a cool water flosser at cost. I've had 2 pain free procedures done by Dr Tsang. I had an extraction last week and a root canal today. I know, it sounds horrible, but I must say it wasn't. I am very afraid of needles and dentists in general. Dr Tsang was very thorough with his explanations as he made sure I was clear on what to expect. He made sure I was comfortable and even gave me headphones with my choice of music, which helped a lot. He also offered me breaks and made sure that I was dealing well with the procedures. The office staff is amazing. Elsa was very clear and helped me make the best decisions regarding my insurance (Delta Dental). I've had horrible experiences elsewhere so I was very apprehensive. Dr. Tsang is a very kind dentist. But the old Mexico lady receptionist is horrible. The story is I was surprised by a medical bill which should be the partial coverage by my PPO dental insurance. Because she messed up, I need to pay for the whole procedure. When I went to the office and question her, she gave me a very bad attitude and yelled at me. I did a thorough search on yelp, and Albert M Tsang, DDS reviews caught my attention. I called and made an appointment for a consultation and they were able to schedule me right away. I have never been fond of dental offices, but Albert Tsang changed my perspective. Dr. Tsang & his staff does an amazing job making the patient feel comfortable at all times. I would like to think of them as one big happy family. This update to my review is solely due to Dr. Tsang and his extremely great patient service. I have never had a dentist put so much extra time and care to improve the relationships with their patients. After my harsh, but warranted review regarding the attitudes of the women in the front office, Dr. Tsang called me personally to apologize and explain his side. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him. I'm completely satisfied with my dental work as well as the products he provided to help me maintain the health of my gums and teeth. We conversed for a good 15 minutes. I could tell he was sincere with his words and he wouldn't feel right until I, the patient, was happy. He let me know that there have been meetings with the staff to discuss the negative feedback and his wife also joined the team in efforts to improve the overall customer service. I really want to improve their rating to five stars since I really couldn't have asked for a better dentist than Dr. Tsang, but I can't find myself changing it to a full five stars until I experience the change in the front office myself. However, I hope that any Yelpers reading this will see that although my previous experiences were bad enough to never visit this office again, Dr. Tsang has honestly made me rethink it and I plan to continue my dental work through his practice in hopes that he was right. I'm optimistic that in the near future I can completely delete my original post and give him the five star rating that he himself deserves. read more

My dental hygienist is very friendly. She takes her time and is gentle on the gums. She does a good job of cleaning my teeth. I am very satisfied with her service. Dr. Tsang employs many of the latest electronic dental systems including a computerized electronic x-ray system. No film required! I like the TVs and electronic records. Very easy to review images on the screen together. I've had an incidence where I've had to return for some rework, but Dr. Tsang was very receptive and completed the work hassle-free. I finally found the right doctor for me! Dr.Tsang is a miracle doctor. Why did I say this? Because there's not a lot of doctor who will truly care about you. I've been so depress because my front tooth filling cracked after 15 + years that I had it. I went and see a doctor for this reason and she removed the old filling then put a new one but it chipped off 2x after few weeks, the 3rd time it chipped off, I am so scared to go back to her because she said there's possibility that I will need a crown if it happen again.My tooth never hurts so I know it can still be fix.
