Tried buying soju at 9:30pm near the time they closed. Guy working there named Najib pulled us out of the regular cashier line we were in to ring us out in self checkout. Originally I thought this gesture was somewhat helpful so we wouldn't have to wait; but now I realize it's probably because we were targeted for looking young and buying alcohol. He immediately scanned my friend's ID which btw has never happened a single time we've been to this or any other location before. It's a California REAL ID with the symbol on it and everything. He said the system won't read it. And that quote "usually that means it's a fake". Like whoa buddy chill out. Your job is to ring us out not accuse us of having a fake ID at 24/25 years of age. I appreciate the fact that we still look young to others I guess but this was clearly ageism. The ID was not expired at all either. Fully real and we've bought alcohol from them many times before. Absolutely ridiculous. I could've gotten my own ID from the car after my friend got denied but I decided it was pointless because I felt so disrespected after that. Friday night my daughter-in-law , who is eight months pregnant was craving chocolate cake or Tres leches cake so my wife and I went to Albertsons to see what we could find. We were surprised to find a chocolate tres leches cake. My wife decided to get it. Now it was close to closing time so of course only one person was able to help us and we had to wait until everybody was out of the store so she could come over, open the case and get the cake for us. Once we got home to surprised my daughter-in-law with the cake we found she cut the corner piece to eat and surprise it was almost all frosting. We thought because it was the corner piece that is the reason all the frosting but as we cut into it and cut more slices out for others to eat, we noticed that it only had a thin layer of cake in the center, and probably about an inch of frosting all around. Never again will we buy a cake from Albertons. This was a waste of $22 and the picture shows where it all ended up, in the trash. If you wanna throw your money away, then this is the place to get a cake. So disappointed, this store use to be our go to place when we want quality and service, not any more. read more

Put her bags in the cart for her called someone to help carry her groceries out . Then when I got up there didn't greet me again scanned all of my stuff I brought my own bags which I set up on the counter by my food he was almost done scanning everything and still hadn't bagged anything so I started to put some things in my cart like my milk and he just stood there then started having a conversation with a black man who was in line behind me. So I bagged all 55 items by myself. They have no baggers apparently no one came to help Jamal didn't bag a single item for me so I just took my sweet ass time since he was busy having a conversation. Then when I was finally done I paid and he just handed me my receipt never said a word to me never helped me bag my items I will never go to this Albertsons ever again just because you hire obviously racist people like Jamal Apparently he doesn't like white ladies or he won't talk to them. This is my regular supermarket, I felt compelled to give them a really good review because of all the Chad's and Karen's that complain about "long lines," or when they've walked in before the night crew has restocked the shelves, etc., trust me they'd be complaining about the price increases if they put more people on or about another inane reason because that's what truly miserable and petty people do, they leave negative reviews about how their ham wasn't thinly sliced enough or how an employee didn't gumshoe for them when they got to the register. It's a supermarket, it provides food and essentials, it's open pretty much all the time. It's clean and as someone who is there quite often all the staff are kind and efficient. The regulars, like myself, are there multiple times a week and there is nothing so notable or so bad to get on Yelp and complain about. read more

I'm fairly new to this area and I have yet to have a bad experience at this grocery store. Today was no exception. I am fresh out of surgery and need help lifting and carrying. Without being asked, Logan (he's a bag boy) offered to help me get some packs of soda then made sure to tell me that he would help me out to my car. He sure did, sent above and beyond to make sure that my groceries were organized in my trunk, asked if I need assistance getting in my car, even checked to make sure my kids were in the car. Bad experience at the produce department yesterday by 6:30! I was just trying to find some ripe avocados and this middle aged white clerk came over to offer help, but instead he started putting the avocados one sack over another randomly to interrupt me! At first, I thought he was trying to be helpful, but it's clear he's a bigot judging from his condescending tone and facial expression. Cashier was friendly, but the clerks especially produce and seafood/meat departments need to be retrained as I walked by there was a man ringing the bell at the meat counter and no one came by until 5 minutes later. I know public restrooms aren't the best but when you see employees standing around chit chatting and the place is filthy....it says one thing Management is ineffective and piss poor, literally.... it is or was the best market in the area... Vons/Albetsons should be ashamed... Additionaly the towel dispenser was barely hanging on the wall by one screw; you have to hold it still with one hand to get towels our of it with the other. The soap dispenser was crusted over with dirt... you get the picture....GAS STATION BATHROOM IN A SUPERMARKET... I could only imagine how they handle the food we ingest. This is a local Albertsons. When I check into this location I often see the moldy tomato picture. I do not doubt that this was found here, but I have not seen anything but fresh produce. I wish the first picture I see when checking in would change. The butchers are friendly and offer suggestions when you ask. I always buy my bacon from the butcher counter. It is often the same price as the pre-packeged bacon. The aisles are clean and the check-out is smooth. Plenty of parking and close to a staples and Petsmart. You can check off so many things on your to-do list by visiting this location. read more

My local Albertsons. The wife sent me to go get some fresh baked bread which they make at 5:00 PM daily. Oh so good with some wine and pasta. Staff is courteous and diligent. I purchased some Robert Mondavi wines and they made sure to card me. I felt young, it must be the hair ;o) Clean aisles and organized product. Staff does a good job at this Albertsons. I forgot the Albertsons card but they said, "no problem." Punch in your telephone number and you will get your discount, awesome! Two good bottles of wine and some freshly baked bread $19 bucks. Had a really Terrible experience at this store. Was going to buy a single item and so I grabbed it from the shelf, but when I got to the front of the store the line was really long so I decided against it and I returned the item to the section I got it from and left. Once I was about 100 ft out of the store an employee in street clothes without a name badge (a loss prevention person maybe?) Chased me down and accused me of stealing, even saying he had seen it on camera. After a drawn out exchange I finally showed him the contents of the work/ computer bag I was carrying and he left me alone. I it's going to leave but decided to go back into the store to let him know that he had handled the situation really inappropriately. I was hoping he would apologize and acknowledge he handled it poorly. However, he was unapologetic and insisted that everything he did was correct. Another employee and street clothes with no name tag that apologized on his behalf but even then he insisted he did not need to apologize for how he acted. Really terrible service and experience and I won't be returning. read more
