Unbelievable! I do not like to complain or give someone a bad review but I'm sorry this lady should be retrained! Especially on manners! I have been coming here for years to do last-minute grocery shopping before I go home from work. Never have I had a bad experience with a cashier. They have always been nice to me even though the lines are long the cashiers have always been very pleasant. But not tonight and I am completely baffled as to why she was rude to me! I was in the fast express lane and cashier Sherry was my cashier. I noticed that there was a line behind me and I decided to help her out and put some of my groceries in the bag. Apparently I did the wrong thing and she gave me a dirty look. I said oh I'm sorry I was just trying to help and she completely ignored me and didn't answer me. I thanked her for bagging my groceries three times! Nothing! She wouldn't even look at me! Apparently being nice to someone is not the right thing to do! But she had no problem chatting up the guy behind me! I'm sorry but I will not be returning there again. It's ridiculous! The groceries there are already overpriced you would think at least because of these high prices you would get good customer service. Nope you get blatant disrespect over being nice and helpful! I'm a long time customer of Albertson's and had had really good customer service. The checkers are always nice and helpful but this time I've encountered the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE from the SAV-ON PHARMACY in the store. I normally have my prescriptions filled with Hillary and ALWAYS had EXCELLENT SERVICE with her, Josh, and the last manager (I forget her name but her last name was Fernandez). They were AWESOME! Never had a problem until today. The intern and pharmacist on duty were not only incompetent but also had terrible customer service. When I dropped off my prescription the intern was flustered and on the phone. She entered in my new insurance card and quickly said my medications would be ready tomorrow--which is total BS because it takes less than 1-2 hours when Hillary fills my prescriptions so I insisted I needed them today. She agreed and when my husband CAME BACK 3 HOURS LATER. She said there was a problem with my insurance. Then she said there was a problem with my husband's insurance. The issue is that this fool was trying to use my old insurance to fill the prescriptions! My husband told her the other ones were old and to delete them and also told her which insurance to use and she still couldn't get it together. I know she is an intern and she is still learning but for Pete's sake, provide adequate training to your staff. The PHARMACIST ON DUTY is responsible for intern and failed to solve the issue--SHE DIDN'T EVEN INTERVENE AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM. The thing is, I wasn't the only person they said this to--there were a quite a few ELDERLY people that were turned away because they too had insurance issues which they were surprised about. Stood at the alcohol aisle for 20 minutes. Pushed the button for help countless times. Even asked a worker for help who said he'd get on the intercom for help. Waited 10 more minutes and nothing happened. Mind you, the store was damn near empty. Horrible. read more

Worse experience ever about an hour ago, I came home very upset. The only cashier "Lance" not only was completely rude, clearly doesn't like his job, and the "Manger" on duty doesn't know what managing is. The store alone wasn't a big deal the employee's working there made me not ever want to step foot there. They were both old, bitter, and unprofessional, to think an older employee would have experience and more knowledge. An advice for people that work guest/costumer service, learn how to be patient and polite. If you dont like dealing with people work for an company that doesn't require talking to people. This is a great store to shop in I ha've been coming here for years. I love the meat market it is fresh and a variety of different meat to buy. The butcher is always friendly and takes his time to get you're order right. The price of meat has gone up but that is anywhere you go now. The lines are long but my tip is to come early in the morning no lines and the store is empty. So over all this place is clean the food is fresh and staff is friendly definitely be back soon. read more

I used to enjoy coming to this store, especially when they had self check, but they got rid of them all and now getting into a regular line, waiting for a cashier takes forever. I love Albertsons and hate they closed the one closest to me i was in the area and forced myself to meed groceries haha this Albertsons is very nice inside and i loved they have a chase bank inside not just the atm but the teller told me they will be closing the chase soon. Horrible service at the deli counter...Red hair lady on the phone for 10-15 mins. The lady in the back dropping chicken says one minute...Red hair lady walks off go to the front to the manger for a customer that was on the phone complaining. then lady that said one minute notice the red hair lady walked right pass me and another customer she then came to assist to tell us there's no fried chicken there preparing orders which shouldn't have anything to do the the service deli counter. So I asked her if she could ask since I'm here can I get eight pieces for what's prepared. She then ask and the person behind the wall said yes. Deli counter hot foods was very skimpy and hadn't been refilled in hours everything was low. I got my chicken dinner. Got home to some chicken that tasted scorched/old grease...I've called Gardena Albertsons three times to speak with the manager and the person answering the phone keeps hanging up once he place me on hold. All the orders there were preparing taste the same way because it all the same grease. Albertsons/Vons I want answers and a refund. I couldn't even enjoy my chicken dinner. Great prices, nice, attentive, helpful employees. Huge selection too! Noticed each employee was willing to stop what they were doing to help me out, if needed. I came in to get chicken breast/veggies/fruit but on my way out, i grabbed honest brand iced tea's, Velveeta shells and cheese and some chocolate chip cookies (Albertsons brand) and they're pretty good. Worst experience at pharmacy so far. I don't usually fill my prescriptions here but since I was here and no one was in line I dropped off my one prescription. 20 minutes later she still hadn't typed it into the system yet and then I had to dro my mom off and when I came back it still wasn't ready. She then tried to sell me immunizations after butchering and not understanding my name after repeating it to her 4 times. My Ice cream I bought all melted while waiting. Never coming back. read more

Albertson has a sign that says "3 or more in line will open another cash register ". They should take the sign down. There were 3 registers open and each had 5 or 6 people in line. They didn't even open another register. People are already pissed off and to top things off, the cashiers and box person didn't even smile. Even though it's friendly, clean and well kept, this is by far one of the worst supermarket options in the area. The checkout lines are ALWAYS ridiculously long. Does not seem to matter at what hour I come in, just cannot seem to get out without spending a minimum of 10-20 minutes simply in line. I was hoping the express lanes that replaced self checkout would help, but unfortunately they are rarely ever in service. read more

Today April 11, 2019 at 7:30 PM. My husband and I had a HORRIBLE experience at an Albertson Store in Gardena, CA and if I could give ZERO stars I would without a doubt in mind. The main issue we had was with a manager called Nick Casas(bald head,skinny dude with pimples) we had a question about our Monopoly tickets because we believed we didn't get the correct amount(it's not so much about the tickets this is more about the way he treated customers and also how he is a "manager" of a store) and also we were questioning why we got a low amount of tickets when we had bonus ticket items. Well as we were voicing our question and just trying to figure out if this was a correct amount or what happened Nick completely blew it off and acted as if we were just trying to "get over" on tickets or as if we were broke because we bought items that were on sale and also happened to be bonus items tickets, we told him we would go back and return our items because of how he was treating us very disrespectful and rude, that is not how a manager on duty should treat customers. When we came back into the store to return our items Nick was very disrespectful and asking for our monopoly tickets before he did a return and told us he would not give us cash back for our items purchased and that he was going to give us a gift card, we also let him know we didn't want a gift card because we would not be returning back to this store because of how unprofessional he is and how disrespectful and rude he is and this store has made him a "manager" a "manager" doesn't talk to customers disrespectful or make them feel like they are "broke" because they bought items on sale that happened to be bonus ticket items. Nick repeatedly during our transaction was walking away and about and 30 minutes in before he even started to do the refund he kept walking away and taking him time out of retaliation that we were returning these items because he was being very disrespectful. Nick also kept laughing in our faces while we were expressing how disappointing it was that we had to return our groceries because of how poorly this so called manager Nick wants to treat customers. We waited almost one HOUR for our return to be done while he was leaving the register MULTIPLE times and also locking himself in a room next to the customer service desk and not coming out and expressed that he will not give us cash back and only a gift card he's basically holding us hostage here for over an hour and a half and not giving us our money back and also not even issuing us a gift card. It is a week day to be even more specific Wednesday night and Nick Casas will not issue us our money back for our return we asked for this return to be done at 7:30 PM and it is now 9:30 PM and we still have no money at all both me and my husband have work tomorrow morning and have to up at 6:30 AM and here we are sitting in a grocery store at 9:30 PM no dinner and have to still go home with no groceries to attempt to make a dinner with and still get ready for the day the next morning. I WILL NOT be returning to this store because of this manager named Nick Casas and if he is still considered a "manager" after holding someone hostage for over an hour and a half is beyond ridiculous and whoever made him a manager should be seriously embarrassed that this is someone who is running this store when the store manager is not there or around. If interested we have video taken from the start of the return to us waiting for our money/gift card to be issued to us. We are now leaving this store at 9:45 PM with a gift card and still no groceries to make dinner tonight. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and something does get done about this guy being a manager of a huge store like this, like I said I PERSONALLY WILL NOT be back to this store ever again and I highly suggest going somewhere else before you even think about going to this store personally. read more

The staff at this market is very nice and down to earth. And yes, the butcher lady was completely helpful. She explained to me the different kinds of cuts and was very helpful to watch for certain pricing and when it was good time to buy certain items. She was way too cool. Please double check the expiration dates of items that you buy from this store. i typically don't have issues with freshness of items from Albertsons so I'm not writing this location off just yet. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Requested a roll of quarters at the register I had just been to and overpaid $12 for what should have been a $6 item. My cashier or any other cashier would give me any and I waited 15 minutes for manager at "customer service" counter to help me. When I asked the cashier if anyone was coming she said shes right there! The manager Felipa was on a register and ignored me. Not sure how I was supposed to know she was the one i was waiting for..Felipa very rudely said "Im helping a customer in the bakery"! I said "u could at least acknowledge me so I would know ur the one im waiting for".. Then after her bakery thing was finished she FINALLY came to help me and only gave me $2 in quarters! I said "you have no more quarters in any reguster?? She reluctantly went to a register and gave me the other $8.. Checkers seem to have their jobs. Went there the other day, bought over $300 in groceries and the checker didn't say a single word to me. I don't expect to be friends but try and act like you care. This is my first time ever writing a review so this is obviously not just another customer complaint. This Albertsons lacks in customer service and fresh food and I've been disappointed with this Albertsons on three separate occasions within the past 2months. It's a shame that I feel the need to write this review because this Albertsons has such potential as it offers a larger selection of healthy raw foods than other grocery stores in the Gardena area. In my first visit, I went to the seafood service station for Salmon and I asked the employee if he could skin the fish for me since, you know, they have all the tools there to do it! The guy told me he wasn't very good at it. Somehow I boosted his self-esteem and he went on and cut the fish for me. He did an okay job but what a waste of time it was to convince him to do his job, especially after getting off of work and just trying to get dinner going. My second time visiting, I bought riced cauliflower in a bag. I make riced cauliflower all the time and I usually get it from Whole Foods or Trader Joe's and it always tastes and smells delicious when I cook it. But this riced cauliflower from Albertsons was spoiled and sour. I cooked it as soon as I got home from the store and I had to throw it all out after tasting it cooked and uncooked, it also smelled really bad....like a garbage can. Again, what a waste of time after getting off from work. In this same visit, I went to get fresh salmon again and asked the employee if he could skin the fish for me ( it happened to be the same guy as before), he then replied with a firm and unfriendly "no" without offering any explanation as to why. So I asked him why he couldn't skin the fish and he replied that he wasn't able to do so because he wasn't trained in cutting the fish. Hmmmmm. That's hard to believe considering he skinned my fish before. But i digress! So I settled for the individual salmon chunks that were already skinned but more expensive than buying it by the pound. As I continue shopping, I come back to the service station and noticed that a new, heavier set gentleman was behind the counter, I asked him if he could skin a 1lb of salmon for me, and without hesitation he replied with a confident yes and pulled the fish out to skin it. Hassle free! Thank You guy, whoever you are! Anyway, in the spirit of trying to forgive Albertsons of the aforementioned, I returned on Christmas Day to grab some items for a work potluck and dinner that evening. I was sure to stay away from the seafood station because the same, non cutting employee was there. So I opted to get some Jennie-O ground turkey instead. As I'm looking at the options, I noticed that some of the Jennie-O ground turkey was discolored. Some packages looked fresh and pink while others looked gray, dull, and spoiled. I looked at all the expiration dates and they all expired either 1/2/17 or 1/4/17. So why were they all different colors? To me that was a red flag! All I could assume was that this Albertsons was not storing their meats at the proper temperatures. This may or may not be true but after all I have experienced, I have gained a huge distrust in this store. I shuffled through all the packages and bought the freshest looking pack I could find. Even then, I was hesitant to cook the meat when I got home for fear of getting food poisoning. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at this Albertsons again. I'll only visit if it's an emergency. But even then, I would rather just buy my food from a fast food chain before I visit here again. Sorry Albertsons, you've been a disappointment on one too many occasions. read more

I'm currently standing in yet another ridiculously long line at this store. All the other registers have really long lines too. It is now Sunday a little after 12pm, but it's the same situation whether I come at this time, or Monday at 2pm, Thursday 9pm - you get the idea. No one should have to turn a five-minute store trip into a half-hour ordeal. Add to this the fact that I've picked up cheese items a couple of different times that had expired dates. Went in there this morning to shop for things that I can't usually find in my usual store. When I got to the wine, I noted that it was 20% higher than what I recently paid at my usual store, so I emptied my cart and left (25% higher than at Food4Less). As I was attempting to go out the door, the cart locked its wheel and some alarm rang. All I had was the cart, which I was going to put where I had found it. They don't deserve any stars in my opinion... I use to enjoy coming to this Albertsons until today. I placed an order for 50pc. Fried chicken two days prior to pick up. My order time was for 4:15pm today I arrived about 4:25pm, only to find out that my chicken wasn't ready upon request.. They said they were backed up on their orders and it would be ready in 20 min.. Apparently one of their fryers were broken, but instead of calling the customers prior to pick up time they had to deal with several angry customers who expected their chicken to be ready. After 45 minutes of waiting I asked again how long, and there was no way they would be able to give me my chicken before the others waiting whom ordered 200 pc chicken per customer ... What is the point of taking down customer contact number if they don't contact them on an issue... Anyways I didn't have time to wait another hour or more so I got a refund and got chicken somewhere else... It was just an unfortunate waste of time, and stressful considering I had family dinner to attend with this fried chicken!! Epic fail!!!
