Fairly new and decently clean inside. The aisles are always well stocked and very neatly stacked too, sometimes in some amazingly neat patterns! Not too much rude customerage in here so as to not ruin your shopping experience. The checkers are generally friendly and helpful, and there's a RedBox and a full service Chase branch inside. Sometimes there are no carts because of the lazy cart-gathering workers - you will probably see these wage-milkers wandering around the parking lot in super duper kaluper slow motion pushing and gathering carts in the most inefficient gathering pattern possible. So just a random thought, do stores EVER clean the child seat part of carts??? We put all kinds of personal things and food stuff where all this residual baby poop would be...yuck!!! D= read more

Honestly, I come here frequently because they have a RedBox kiosk inside. Literally feet away from the front door. And now that you can pre-select the movie you want to rent online and simply pick it up at the store, I'm a repeat customer. This Albertsons tends to be clean for the most park, I always see an employee walking around with a broom cleaning the produce isle. I've never been disappointed with the items I've picked up at Albertsons, My only complaint would have to be that they have a small selection of organic produce. But other than that I'm a fan. This branch has ample parking; so parking is never a hassle. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. I guess CVS didn't buy out all of the Sav-on pharmacy locations. I took my elderly friend to pick up her meds at about 4:45p on Saturday. We didn't finish the transaction until about 5:07pm. The woman behind the desk, possibly the pharmacist, kept reminding us that they close at 5:00. REALLY? SO WHAT? We were there before 5:00. I asked why she kept telling us that and she said, because they have to pay us overtime. Do we, the customers, care in the slightest about seven minutes of overtime? Of course we don't! This is very poor customer service and I am going to be reporting it to their customer care department. read more

Compared to Walmart, Albertsons is very clean, well stocked and surprisingly organized! Plus there are no people standing by the entrances asking for signatures (which I find very annoying) and such. I think I would rather shop here for my grocery needs than at Walmart which is always unorganized, full of traffic and just not a really peaceful place to shop at. Pricing here is relatively similar to other stores like Ralphs, Food4Less and Target, so shopping here will not rip you off at all. I'm a regular and will still go but this is the 2nd time the same woman with the glasses was unnecessarily rude. I just wanted to know if they are bringing out more fried chicken and how long it would take. The other guy was helping another customer so I didn't want to butt in. This female deli worker happened to be walking out from the back, so I asked very politely and with a smile if they're bringing more chicken out. She said "they're cooking" in a short manner like I was bothering her then proceeded to wash her hands. Since she was washing her hands, I hesitated about asking but I was in a hurry so i asked if she knew how long. She replied in an even more impatient and rude manner, "can you give me a minute to check?" So i said, "of course, thank you." The whole time she was washing her hands She was shaking her head like I had asked her to bake me a cake right that moment. She finished after a minute then went back to the back and started talking to 2 other guys. I was standing there the whole time she talked to them and it became perfectly clear she was not gonna get back to me anytime soon so I just left. 99% of the employees at this Albertons have been helpful and friendly. This woman seems to be the lone exception as she has treated me rudely before too over a simple question. Seems like she hates being bothered. read more

The meat department has to be the nastiest section in the store . Today while visiting I stopped i went near the meat department and saw some stuffed mushrooms with mold on them , the chicken thighs were dried out and old. This is not the first experience I have had with the meat department I went to buy salmon and I got home and I smelled something fishy and nasty . I went to cook the salmon and there was the smell coming from the salmon. I called in the store and they told me to go back and change it if I wanted I changed the meat and the guy smelled the other salmon and he frowned his face because he smelled the same smell and went to get me a new batch of salmon . Issue resolved! I had a real problem at this Albertsons on 1/4/16. I arrived to see a line of 12 disgruntled people waiting at the meat department. I was looking at at least a half hour wait that would have been bareable if the two employees working the meat department were hustling. But no, they were taking their sweet time, acting like they were high on drugs. So I informed the appropriate manager who did nothing to resolve the situation and ignored me. This was not the Albertsons I knew, so I contacted the senior store manager who took my concern seriously and did all he can to rectify the situation. His sincere apology means a lot to me. read more

Went into the store on Wednesday to pick up a few groceries and they sent me a coupon for a free rotisserie chicken. Obviously went to cash that in. Just by the looks of it, the skin was burnt but it's free so what the heck we peel the skin off anyways. When we got home I took a piece of the leg off and it was extremely salty! They over seasoned their chicken. As I continued to break down the chicken, I pulled the thigh away and it was slightly pink inside!!! I kept breaking down the chicken and this chicken was definitely undone. The top/outside looked fine but not the inside. This is unhealthy!! They have this retarded system where you have to press a button for them to come and open the liquor cabinet. Except that when you press the button they never show up. I went there this afternoon between 3:30 - 4;30 and i was checking out and i noticed there was a young black woman not wearing a mask and i called the attention of one of the employees manning the safe distancing check out line. She sarcastically told me the " I AM NOT THE MASK POLICE" i told her as an employee of the store it is your responsibikity to protect your shoppers from people who do not follow state laws during this pandemic and again she said " I AM NOT THE MASK POLICE" i can easily identify that employee again as i frequent that store plus i am 100 percent sure the store cameras captured this incident. If a store as big as this can not protect its shoppers, i would rather not go back to this store ever again and take my business to another store where i will feel safe every time i shop and where its store employees will care about its shoppers. I'm a big fan of self checkout. I appreciate a store that tears out one or two cashier-staffed checkout terminals and replaces them with four to six self checkout machines. I'm a fan of the reduced checkout time and the convenience of not having to deal with a cashier that's going to to remind me what it's like to hate my life. Besides, it's kind of fun to be able to scan your own items. When on an ice run, this Albertson's serves its purpose by placing the ice freezer right by the entrance. You might have to dodge the ten person line at the RedBox while carrying the ice in your hands to the checkout lines, but it's a small price to pay for the huge convenience. read more

Slooooow checkout, but still 3 stars for me due to the fact that they carry European brand Dr Oetker frozen pizza, which is better than any US frozen pizza, and it's impossible to find it elsewhere. They also have a nice produce section. Fresh deli puddings and prepared fruit bowls are good. The rest of the store is average to overpriced, so I'm literally just stopping here sporadically for above mentioned items. Parking is plentiful if you don't go at rush hour and there's an In-N-Out and other takeout options on the same lot. read more

Last Saturday I went here to pick up a 12" sandwich tray from the deli. My wife had ordered it on line and had called on Friday to make sure there wasn't any problems, like what order? So she re ordered it and asked for it to be ready for pick up the next day at noon. Ah, a brand new day, the sun is out, the birds are a chirpin' the sky is blue! So off I go to fetch up our tray of sandies and guess what? Who is it for, did you use an alias? (Yeah, Salami Bob, heh, heh!) Apparently the order clerk abbreviated her name, but it was found and I apologize to I think was Wilma for snapping at her. After that I discovered that they had recently remodeled the store (it was a difficult store to locate items) and now had to go up and down the aisle looking for items, grr! Not a huge Albertsons, which I like, great variety and selection but not the size of a a football stadium where it takes you forever to get your stuff and get out ..AND they DID have the Oscar Meyer wiener-mobile my last visit here...yes I can cross that off my bucket list now... that gives them so much cred in my book...How could I not write a review! ?? ;) This store is clean, well lit and stocked and convenient to park. I came in on a Wednesday evening around 7pm. I was really impressed that they had fresh basil, rosemary and 2 types of parsley! It was like being at a Farmers Market. It's rare to find a grocery store in this area that carries fresh herbs! The whole store was clean, nicely stocked and I found everything I was looking for at reasonable prices. But then I got in line - Ugh! Both of the check out lines were so long and the self-checkout AND express lanes were closed! The line was so long it was almost halfway down the food aisle! I would give the Albertsons-Gardena store a minus 10 if I could. On January 11th 2021 I went to Albertsons to pick up a few items. After checkout I thought the bill was unusually high. When I got home I checked my receipt and yes there were multiple over charges. The next day (Jan 12th) I went back to Albertsons-Gardena to get a refund. I started my visit by going to the meat department where shortly after being there a man to my right was yelling and cursing profanities. I looked over and noticed his mask wasn't over his mouth so I hurriedly started backing away from the area I was standing at and accidentally ran into a couple who was behind me. After apologizing to them and explaining I was trying to get away from the man yelling and hollering because he didn't have his mask over his mouth, they too also retreated from the area. I then took my meat and returns up to the front of the store and found an associate/manager at the self check out desk. She asked what could she do for me and I showed her the items I had to return and gave her my receipt. As the associate/manager was assisting me the irate man from the meat department appeared and went to one of the self check out machines where he started to encounter issues with the register. He then started screaming and cursing. The person helping me told him she'd be right there to help him as soon as she was done helping me. He continued his tirade. When he seemed to have calmed a slight bit I motioned to him to pull his mask up over his mouth. Oh my dear, why did I do that. He then lashed out in a tirade of foul words, cursed me to no end, called me and F.....kin B...ch and yelled you have the fn covid and cant tell me nothing about a mask, you put your mask on and cover your blah blah blah blah (even though I had my mask on). The tirade just wouldn't stop. I took out my camera and took his picture because at that time, I feared for my safety. I presume it was the store manager who finally came over and tried to calm him down but he wasn't having it. He continued to lash out on her. He pulled his camera out and tried to take my picture and I turned my back to him. He went 10 notches higher with his cursing and ranting and it was really really ugly. The manager asked him to put his camera away and he finished her off. The manager then called Gardena Police. I asked the manager "didn't the store have a mask policy"? She never answered me. I then left the store to go get the license plate of the angry man's car because I remembered he'd parked right next to me. As I was exiting the store Gardena Police were approaching and I flagged them down. When I looked back the hostile man was exiting the store so I pointed the police in his direction. The officer got out of his car and asked me what was going on and I gave him a 30 second story of what transpired and told him you have to stop him. I then went into the store to tell the manager that the police arrived and wanted to talk to her. She looked at me and said "I have nothing to say to them, that's between you and him (angered man)". I told her no I had nothing to do with this, and you called the police on him not me. I then went back outside and the police officer approached me. I told him he disrupted the store customers, cursed me up and down, called me all kinds of foul names, cursed the store manager out, etc., etc. The officer looked at me and shook his head then said "I know him". I said "you what"? The officer repeated what he said. "I know him and that's not what he's like" and that was the end of the police call out. I was shaking so badly I could barely walk to my car. I couldn't believe that because the Police Officer knew this man he just gave him an atta boy and let him go. So much for police protection. This Albertsons doesn't follow CDC guidelines as they claim on their website. Shopping carts are no longer wiped down as they used to when Covid first started back in March 2020. The store personnel just pull the dirty carts out of the parking lot and put them right into the cart lane with whatever germs, used masks, tissues, trash are on or in them. There's no sign in front of the store saying "mask" required. Shoppers don't wear a mask and store management does nothing about it. If you value your health, your life, your safety, stay away from this store. Prices are scanned wrong and if you don't catch it you'll be overcharged for items. If you were in this store on January 12th, near the self check out and you come down with Covid shortly after, you can trace it back to this location. I've shopped at this store for over 40 yrs. I'll be taking my business to its competitor (Ralph's) down the street. Good bye Albertsons. read more

The staff is pretty nice normally. They have given me somewhat old chicken from the deli so I don't normally take anything personal. I was shopping for meat and I was going to ask if they served my preference in the deli. Probably not. No big deal. I was patiently waiting yet someone refused to acknowledge that I was there but while listening I heard them blatantly talking about how they were not fine before (past tense) , Both depressed or bitter or something and just talking about how now they see that other people are doing bad and I thought it was disrespectful and I said I was probably going to leave and they continued just a little bit more harsh. I absolutely love this Albertsons, and I am so surprised to see all the bad reviews. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite grocery stores and it has been for years. I go here to shop, get alcohol, and pick up my prescriptions. The customer service is always up to par and I have never any bad experiences. The grocery store is surrounded by great stores and eating restaurants, from In & Out, Chipotle, Papa John's, and Starbucks and many others as well. There is nail shop, GNC, and cleaners, so this could easily be a one stop for your early Saturday shopping. Inside the store the first thing you see is the produce to the right door, or straight to the pharmacy on the left side of the store. The produce has always looked nice and clean and the fruit and veggies always stocked beautifully. The deli, I don't frequent too much, however I have walked past to be nosy and the chicken, potato skins, salads and fresh meats and cheese always looks nice and ready to eat! They also have a bakery; however I believe for special cakes, you may want to call in your order. They have a seafood sections for the fresh meats to showcase. At times, they have great sales on crab legs and shrimp, so make sure you receive the ads in the mail once a week. Also when I did eat pork, they had the best fresh bacon, and Lord have mercy, everyone who indulge in bacon knows what I am talking about. It's the thick bacon that has tons of flavors! Oh M Gee, it's amazing and always a good price. In regards to the liquor section, it's quite nice and the wines are pretty good with a wide selection. They pretty much have all the good stuff, Cîroc, Jack, Amsterdam, Margaritas mix, and Tequila. I was so surprised to see they also sell Plum Wine, so I took advantage and purchased 3 bottles, lol. The card selection is actually quiet big too and they have all cards, so making a stop to the mall to go to Hallmark is unnecessary. The cards are located by the floral department and I have never purchase flowers, but they look nice and pretty fresh and they tend to have some nice ones like Tulips, and Sunflowers on sell which is nice. read more

This Albertsons is the DMV of grocery stores. No matter what the holiday is, 4rth of July, Thanksgiving, etc., there will only be 3 cashiers working the registers, while the other 6 registers are empty. And the cashiers win the slowest cashier award ever. I spend 10% of my time grocery shopping and 90% waiting to check out. But hey, if you need a Rams jersey, I know where to get one. read more

I live locally to this Albertsons so I am in there literally almost daily. The consistency is for some reason they can not pull it together when it comes to check out lines. There is a guaranteed long wait time and with the slowest chip card readers I have experienced. The staff and cashiers are friendly and trying there best- but not much they can do when this location is extremely under staffed. If you are in a hurry don't ever go to this location! read more

The store looks nice enough. It's well-stocked. Everything looks fresh. However they always have a very very noticeable lack of cashiers and zero self checkout lines. I preferred to use the cashiers to give some employment. However with no self cash out lines you always wind up spending 5 to 10 minutes in line. Boring and aggravating! I absolutely refuse to do this. So I did myself a favor and went to the local Ralph's. It is just as nice a store and they value their customers enough to hire enough personnel to help you get on your way or assist you. read more
