This was my first visit to this store and was both positive and negative first impressions. The store itself is beautiful- well laid out and excellent selection. The problem is that it's very very difficult to actually buy anything. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and they had only 2 checkers with no speed lanes open. We waited 45 min to buy 3 items. I asked the checker casually why you had only 2 open with 20-30 people in line and she shrugged saying "that's how it is here". Looks like wonderful store that is poorly managed so won't be coming back. If they cut back on cashiers where else do they cut back on? Is my food safe? With lots of other competition in the area will go elsewhere. read more

Went into get two items, so when I got to the register the customer in front of me wanted something done. the checker didn't know how to ring it up so she called someone on the phone. Took too long so me anf another customer went to the next line. As we got in line the checker goes to help the first checker. So now no one is getting their food rung up. So we typically shop at stater brothers but Albertsons is much closer to home, so we have been branching out! Tonight my husband and I stopped by for a couple birthday cards & some quick dinner from the deli - fried chicken and some zesty wings! Marlon was fantastic & so helpful. He gave us each a zesty wing to taste & they were delish! 2 pounds of those & some regular fried chicken. We then decided against potato wedges and got Cesar salad. We asked him what his favorite was from the counter and he shared a few! Finishing off with his current fav, the creamy potato salad. He gave samples of that as well and left us with a kind "I got you"! We both walked away smiling and relayed our thoughts to the gal at checkout (failed to get her name) & she said a nice review would make him smile & I hope this does! Kindness goes so far, people. I come here because I trust their produce. I also buy their put together healthy snacks in the produce section. The bakery is Awesome-you have to try the snickers cake! The salads and chicken in the deli is delicious. Their homemade chips and guacamole are fresh and tasty! They have a really good variety of sugar free candy too and my mom is diabetic so she's able to buy those and stay on track with her cravings me as well at work. Once upon a time and many years ago in Highland, this Albertsons was a Lucky's. Remember Lucky's? So do I! When they went Chapter 11, many Lucky's became Albertsons. For a long time, this was East Highland's only real supermarket. Those who breathed the rarified air up in "The Ranch" hardly ever ventured down to the Stater's on Highland where we, the great unwashed "down the hill" lived to shop. Fast forward to a few years ago - and now there's a Stater's up in East Highland Ranch proper on Greenspot Road to compete with Albertsons. Competition is good! *sage nod* This Albertsons is located just where East Highland ends, or begins, depending on how you look at it - in a large plaze on the corner of Boulder and Baseline. I have to give them credit on many accounts - and criticize them on others. The good... They have a really good selection of foods and merchandise for a grocery store. They carry brands that are harder to find. Their deli and bakery are really great, and their gourmet selections are pretty decent. Also of note is their liquor/beer selection. Gotta give props here - for a grocery store, their beer selection is close to epic. Its no Gerrard's. mind you - but its pretty damn great! A wonderful selection of ales and lagers from all over...with a great selection of micro and craft beers. They also represent Hangar 24 very well in their selection of not only beers, but other merchandise as well (shirts, etc). Their selection of wines and hard spirits is also very good. Its a great place to go if you want to stock your bar. The employees are also friendly and helpful. The not so good... The prices here are expensive! I would never come here for my normal two-weeks shopping trip. In fact, I think I tried that about a decade or so ago and I'm still walking a tad funny from the reaming I got! Its a place to go for splurgy stuff... or if you can't find a particular item at your local store...or if they are having a great sale on particular items. Also - the meat counter/butcher area here is a bit of an afterthought. Its small, the selection of meats in the butcher case is small - and the prices are, again, expensive. I admit I'm VERY spoiled when it comes to loving Stater Bros. for their full service meat counter/butcher. All in all - Albertsons is a pricey place to shop at. If you can afford it, wonderful. Otherwise its a great place to go for alcohol or for splurgy, special-occasion stuff. Its great, however, that Highland has a nice range of markets spanning the spectrum of prices and selections. DO NOT shop at this Albertsons. Their customer service is horrible. We were their on Sunday 9/12. The check out lines are always long with checkers closing before line goes down. We were waiting in line for about 5 minutes when the guest in front of us says he was just told he was the last customer. My husband called up to the checker because he thought we were the last customer. The guy mumbles something ( no direct answer) so my husband asked again and he tells us his manager told him to. What does that mean??! My husband was asking if we were the last customer and he never answered us. We got into another line to find it was the mangers line. I was going to say something because our experience was so unprofessional. When I asked if he was the manager to open up dialogue the guy just looked at me and didn't say anything. This manager clearly didn't care and neither did the employee. We will not be back. These employees are not trained in customer service and do not care about customers. read more

I'm a Stater Brothers, Food 4 Less, and Winco grocery store shopper, so Alberston's is a breath of fresh air in comparison. The employees are really friendly and so are their products. I went in to check out the vegan section and one of the ever so friendly employees went out of her way to assist me. When I inquired about vegan desserts in the bakery the lady behind the counter suggested that I visit Muffin Top bakery in Redlands because Albertson's doesn't bake vegan goods. Absolutely love the bakery here. The past two years in a row I brought them pictures of cakes I found online and they matched them, not only do they not disappoint in the the design but the taste and the flavors are good, plus the price can't be beat. This year I threw my four-year-old son a Paw Patrol party, everybody loved how the Rubble cake came out and everyone commented on how good the Paw Patrol one was. (We didn't eat the small one until days later and it still tasted great. The Paw Patrol cake was a half sheet and the Rubble cake was specially made & I probably only paid about $45 for both of them together, you can't find that anywhere! Highly recommend going to their bakery, they are extremely accommodating and very good at what they do. read more

This place is a joke... Used to come here often because its not far from my house... But I don't think I'll be shopping here again... It's ridiculous how the employees are so rude and blatantly disrespectful to say the least. My boyfriend and I have received several dirty looks from the older man with gray hair and the older women who work there as well. They all have their noses in the air. For what reason, I dont know. You work at Albert sons. Woohoo. You're no better than me or my boyfriend just because of having tattoos. I am guessing that is their issue, because neither one of us has ever done anything to any employee there. My boyfriend actually stopped shopping there a while ago, he is the one with tattoos, not me. Tonight put the icing on the cake for me though. I walked in the store, at around 10:15 pm , not a lot of people in the store, and the minute I walk in I hear "security call 99" please. I worked at Ralph's and know exactly what that meant. Then to no surprise I go to the hair dye aisle and hear the b**** (excuse my language) say over the intercom "security scan 3" . I look up at the aisle I am standing on, it's aisle 3, what a surprise. Then to no avail one of the cart guys come to the aisle, and it was such bad acting I couldn't help but laugh at him and ask what the f*** is your guys problem? I went to the check out line, which had 7 people in it, and only one cashier open, so I put my stuff down and walked out. On my way the older man with grey hair had the nerve to stop what he was doing and watch me walk out, as if I had stole something. I turned around and told him, Better hurry and catch me, I think I may have stole something! and walked away. I saw him turn around and say something to the customers, but I could care less what they think. I don't need to steal, I have a better job than being a cashier at albertsons. They must not pay good and think they will get bonuses or something for catching people who arent even stealing. They need to get a life. read more

I've only started shopping here about 5 times so far... but it will probably be my last. Came here last Saturday just before closing.. the cashier at the only open register was very nice and engaging with the customer, however, when he called for assistance at the bakery that is when things changed. I asked if I was able to still get a cake behind the counter to which the friendly cashier said yes he called for Brad to assist me in the bakery. I wanted to get a chocholate mousse cake which was about $15+.. then walks in Brad with a sour attitude as if he was bothered with what he was doing, I smiled but he was uninterested in being polite or giving any eye contact to me as a customer. Maybe it was my skin color? Dunno.. could not figure it out. so as Brad prepares to box up my cake he brings out this really huge box for a rectangular birthday cake when my cake was a small round sized cake. When I asked him if I can get one of the smaller plastic ones, he paused, gave a look and walked away shaking his head... and he brings the right one, and I said "see much better" trying to get Brad to snap out of his mood his only sarcastic reply under his breath was "i guess.... The paper box would have been better because it is acceptable at a landfill" ... wow im sorry but I could have sworn the customer was always right and what kind of comment or treatment is that to receive and feel good about their purchase? Terrible Customer Service by the Store Manager. Purchased an item 5 days ago confirmed with both a store clerk and store supervisor that it could be returned as long as I had the receipt. When I went to return it the Manager said no returns it at my discretion. I reminded him that I confirmed with two employees , he said he did not care. Don't go here if you have WIC! They don't want you. They have no wic signs up on their food so you're basically going off knowledge and when u get to the front they treat you like you're poor. And you can't purchase the things you know WIC will accept. For instance I was getting a container of food that had bananas and orange melody. First time visiting since I moved a month ago. They have a huge selection of brands and things that you might not find at other stores, even in their deli section. It might be a little higher priced but for me it's worth to do a one shopping trip for everything I need. The cashier was nice and the bagging guy was super helpful with loading my groceries into my car. I will be definitely shopping here on a regular basis. read more

I actually do like albertsonms; but this review is for the bank of america located inside the store. OK, so I was there [B-A] today 2-15-12 to get some money out of my account. I hand the teller my bank cark and I say I want all the money. She then replies that this card is linked/ functions as a checking card and there is no way I can tell how much is in there. I thought nothing of it so I say I want to take out "X" dollars. The teller ask for my ID and proceedes to say its expired and I can not accept it. That was no real problem since the california DMV gives out a sheet of paper that has the same authority as a drivers liscense until you receieve the new one. The teller then proceeds to tell me that I can not handle the transaction (even with the paper). When I inquired why, she exclaimed that we have to scan it. I then ask if I can slide my bank card and enter my pin; to which she says "NO". That sheet of paper from the DMV is legit and carries the authority of the agency. I do have a different bank and all the clerks have sought approval from the manager on duty and processed my various requests. Everyelse I have done business at has accepted that paper, but not this bank. The teller at B of M (yes; I did mean to say BM), did not even ask for a managers approval or suggest any other way this could be done. I then got almost what I needed from the ATM, and when I get my updated ID I will close my account with B of M. You think Albertsons would be respoinsible for the actions of what goes on in their store, but I guess the extra rent generated is a nevermind to them. read more

Called the deli this morning to order 4 lbs of fresh hot and honey chicken wings for a lunch party. Was told they would be ready by 1030. Went to pick them up only to find that the employee behind the counter had no idea about my order asked the other employee who took my order and told her yes, go ahead and give the wings in the case. WHAT?? I SPECIFICALLY CALLED FOR FRESH WINGS. Talked to the manager about my experience...if I have 10 minutes, they will make me fresh. Couldnt wait for fresh when I specifically called and requested 1030 so the manager will "talk" to the employee. REALLY?? If I wanted the wings that were cooked at 6 this morning and have been sitting under the heat lamp, I wouldn't have called and ordered fresh! I used to frequent this joint a lot. Now that my rents live down in beautiful San Diego, CA, I thought I would be the first one to review this place. This place is usually busy, because it is nicely located in a strip mall, but the places surrounding it are neighborhoods. They usually had everything I needed. Though when I needed to buy booze, i usually went to Stater Bros, because they were a bit cheaper. But other than that they met my needs. The aisles are always nicely stocked, and the staff there are usually friendly. If you bank with Bank of America, they are also located in here too. The parking lot was ok, but during peak hours be careful. Crazy people, crazy parkers, crazy drivers. LOL! read more

We found a beautiful vase with flowers. Then Devan, our cashier, dumped it. All the water spilled out. Hands it to my husband, didn't wipe it off or apologize. I come to this store a lot , the fact it's maybe 2 minutes away from my house is very convenient. The recent times I have went to the store , my visit was not pleasant at all. I have participated and have bought my medicine at all pharmacies in highland. I have been pretty disappointed by all of them until I stared getting my medicine at the Savon Pharmacy that is located in Albertsons market. The pharmacist are the best attending to my personal needs. They care and perform there job better than any pharmacy in highland. I have never experienced long waits in line and the clerks are friendly. I am so glad to have found this pharmacy. read more

I love this location! The guacamole that they make in the store is always fresh and the employees are always nice except for one woman there named Jennifer. She is always rude and looks like she is miserable and hates working there. Her customer service is always terrible and I don't even remember the last time I've seen her smile. I usually ignore it because everyone else here is always nice, however, tonight was the last straw. I called ahead of time for an item in stock and when I got there is was not in stock. I actually wasn't mad because I know that this is a grocery store and items go all the time (especially around the holidays) however when Jennifer walked me back to show me that they were out of stock I asked her if she could ask any of her employees to see if she might have put the item on hold for me or not. When she said no I asked if she could see who answered the phone considering I call just five minutes before because I was already on my way to the store. She was very clear that she was not going to help me in any way. My boyfriend and I actually found the young woman we were talking to (on our own, it only took a minute) and she double checked for me and apologized numerous times) I wish I got her name because she was an angel. Like I said, the fact that the items were out of stock was not the problem. I just think that Jennifer should not be working in a customer service field with an attitude like that.. If anything they need to put her in the back. I have no problem going to stater brothers (down the street) from now on. wow! I paid them a visit yesterday after the redlands fiasco visit. We were there for about 3 hours. I had a ton of coupons to use before they expired. I went through the line every thing was perfect then the store manager came and voided my entire order. Said that I could only used 1 coupon per transaction. Ok, fine, I will split all 80 items up and pay for them separately. So i WALK around and look for the store manager because I want HER to check me out so she will maybe realize how retarded this policy is. So she is kinda pycho looking in the first place, she does not blink and she smiles alot. BUT I could tell she is hating me! She tossing some of the stuff, and I know she is restaining herself from jumping over the counter and strangling me for using so many coupons. I could see it in her crazy non blinking eyes. So we get to the meat. I had the deli girl weigh the meat so it weighs exactly to equal $2.00. My partner tells the store manager, hey I would like to compliment your deli girl, she was so patient and nice to us. we were VERY happy with the service she provided to us. We had her package all the meat individually and she was very patient about the entire thing. THe store manager looks up and says, she must have done something wrong with a false label, she mumbled something about intregity and she RAN back to the deli counter and was talking to her. Poor deli girl, we could see her eyes get big. the idiot sm comes back and says, she did everything right. WE say, we KNOW she said we were COMPLIMENTING her service. I then tell her, why would you accuse your employee like that, she did nothing wrong. The idiot says nothing. wow, impressive! Great store, has items that you usually don't find at Stater Bros, the produce is fresh. I like the idea of quick to sell bakery at 99 cent. Overall a very clean store and great to shop. Ordered a Pita Pocket Tray $42.99- it looked nothing like the brochure. The pita bread must have be old. Almost all of them were torn where you couldn't add any condiments inside the sandwich. There was hardly any meat in them some had a full piece of meat and most of them had a little corner of the meat. The sandwiches were lying down on the tray. The whole thing look as if it was just thrown on the tray. It was so bad I could not have put it out for guest- very disappointed. read more
