My review is specifically for this Albertsons' (La Habra) floral department... I recently had the most incredible experience with Celia in the floral department. I was coming in from out of town to host a rehearsal dinner for our son's marriage to his fiance in February 2012. I had a certain idea in mind with a particular price point for center pieces. I phoned and stopped in the shops of about 5 local florists who could only show me pictures of arrangements pointing out that certain flowers were not available either due to season or supply. I found all these florists to be quite pricey and what I found more frustrating was that I couldn't be guaranteed the look of the arrangement due to the replacing of flowers and/or fillers, etc. I was under a time constraint since I had waited to choose the center pieces until I arrived in town which was 3 days before the event. Most florists can be phoned the "day of" for delivery of an arrangement later that day so I assumed I would be fine which I would've been had I gone to one of the 5 florists I had visited. Since I left frustrated at each of these shops, I started to feel a bit pressured and started thinking outside the box. I thought to myself "I know grocery stores sometimes carry arrangements and I've seen a florist on hand a few times, why don't I try a grocery store?" I stopped at a Ralph's, a Safeway, and even tried an outdoor flower stand but to no avail. I went to sleep that night without knowing where my center pieces were coming from (I only needed 4). The next morning on the way to the private estate which would be the venue for the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding and reception, I came across this Albertsons!! When I walked in, they had a wonderful display of floral bouquets as the wedding was just before Valentine's Day. They had a specific floral refrigerator situated right next to the florist's workstation. There I had the pleasure of meeting Celia who understood my needs... me: "these are my colors, this is my price point, I love this size arrangement, I love this shape, I love these flowers, I love these fillers...". I told her I needed 4. She ran out of the size vases I wanted so again... thinking outside the box I thought to myself, "why don't I go to Michael's Crafts just down the street to pick up vases I like the look & price of." Celia said she could have my arrangements ready in about an hour after I brought back the vases... at this I was stunned!! Too late for "long story short"... but I came back a little over an hour after dropping off the vases and I was absolutely blown away at how beautiful the arrangements were!! It was exactly the price I wanted to pay, the center pieces were beautiful and I had them in plenty of time before the event that evening :-)!! In our current price-conscious society and countless numbers of us who have a semi-diy mentality, Albertsons (La Habra) fits a perfect niche. I was very impressed with Celia's service level, her artistic floral arranging ability and incredible attitude under pressure, not to mention her pleasant demeanor!! I invite all of you to think outside the box and consider Celia @ Albertsons (La Habra) as the florist for your next event. You will NOT be disappointed.!! read more

i wish i lived near this albertson's versus the one i really live close to. it's less crowded, more organized, stocked with the items i need. they have plastic bags cuz it's not an unincorporated area. too bad i live on the other end of hacienda road. when i'm in the area, i will stop by this albertson's. read more

Albertsons is the second market closest to our home out of the five groceries in our 1-mile radius. I find most products expensive here. You can find them cheaper in Vons or Target. Although, they have a lot of varieties in here. They have red box inside and a coin counting machine. The rest room here is not pleasant. They have only one stall and I often find it untidy. I try not to use it as much as possible. I would hop in the next door at Starbucks instead. The cashiers here were nice and friendly. They also have the DIY checkout lane. But what I hate about this store is that when you forget your Albertsons card, you cannot retrieve your membership card account just by putting your phone number that was linked in your card. They tell you you need the actual card. What's the point of you filling up the info sheet when you sign up and put your number down when you cannot use it to locate your membership for the discount? In Vons as long as you know the phone number in the card, you get your discount right away with no hassle. Anyhow I love their donuts and their raspberries are cheaper by a dollar than Target. read more

This store ruined my Valentine's day. I live about a block away and walked over to buy some finishing touches for my Valentine's dinner. After amassing about 50 dollars worth of groceries a worker starts telling me how I look suspicious because of my open backpack, but he isn't accusing me of stealing. I didn't even know my backpack was open. I walked out and decided I wanted to speak to the store director and after their song and dance, which was to convince me to buy the groceries I walked away from. I will be contacting corporate to let then know that not just this Albertsons but all Albertsons have lost my business. read more

There are several supermarkets that I can choose from in my neighborhood, but I choose to handle my grocery business at this location. Their prices are consistently low, their produce is always fresh, the staff members are always friendly ... and they always mail us a lot of good coupons. =) read more

My wife & I are very unfortunate to live so close to this Albertsons. We are very sad they got rid of the self checkout. Now we are at the mercy of the employees at this Location. There's maybe one checker that is good but the rest of them have no sense of urgency and no customer service skills. They are better now at recognizing when to call overhead for help but unfortunately that doesn't help. I'm not sure if it's a union thing, "I get paid by the hour" type of thing but it almost appears purposeful -kinda like the DMV situation. I have walked out plenty of times already. Since I live right under the corner from Albertsons I use to use them all the time. But every since they put in the grocery section of Wal Mart I note go there. I only use them in a pinch. They do have have just about everything at Albertsons and good quality. However they can be pricey. Bonuses are floral dept, sushi, great deli, huge produce sect. , lottery, large variety of liquor/beer and meat market. read more

Ive never given a bad review till now...but this place is no fun to shop at. Every single time I have been here, the checker has been in the worst mood. And when I look around at the others, they seem to be equally mean looking. I have literally never been thanked or greeted by a checker here, they seem like I am just wasting their time. I am always one to complement people and am overly friendly, but I have actually contacted a manager at this store about a year ago and they returned my call and after reviewing a security camera told me that they were so upset about what they saw - they did not say one word to me, or even look up at me.... but nothing has changed since then. We live walking distance from Albertsons but I would rather get in the car and drive to Stater Bros. Albertons produce and meats are always overpriced, even with sale days. Overall quality went south fast while prices kept rising. The place is definitely cleaner and the lines are shorter the. Our local Stater Bros. The florist Meron was extremely sweet and helpful in helping my daughter put together a beautiful arrangement and at an affordable cost. I would definitely purchase flowers again from Albertsons because of the florist, Meron. read more

No complaints about this store. It's a clean store that is huge. Only bad thing is the bakery girl dirtied the picture we took to put on the cake and ask for us to come back and bring another one but I suppose accidents happen and that's not the end of the world. I've been going here for years to buy my groceries, but for the last year or so this store has been slipping. The last few times that I have gone there the people behind the meat counter have been anything but helpful. Two weeks ago I wanted a certain cut of meat so I asked the lady behind the counter. She looked at me and pretended not to speak English. I later heard her speaking perfect English to a fellow employee. Then yesterday I wanted a cut of meat sliced up and a guy behind the counter got snippy. I spend several hundred dollars a week there and I feel I should be getting good customer service. My final complaint is the section of goods has gone way down. There are other store and they cost much less, I don't need to shop there, I do so because it's convenient not because I don't have other choices. read more

Went for a few things today since Sprouts doesn't offer them and had a terrible experience. Before I had gotten to the register, an older gentlemen was having some issues with his pants and couldn't bend to take care of it. The bagger (not sure who, kid looked about 20 with diamond earrings) helped but then as the old man left, him and the cashier I had who was CHRISTIAN RAMOS continuously made jokes and were laughing about how gross it was to touch the old man. They tried to include me as they rang up my purchases but I told them that maybe they should see that he is a human being and doesn't deserve to be ridiculed. And especially in front of another costumer. They probably had something to say about me as I left but I do not care. Wont be back. Extremely saddened by their conversation and professionalism. Hopefully store manager TONY TENERELLI has something to say to these rude employees about respect and professionalism. read more

Nicest Albertson's I have ever been to. It's big and spacious, well kept, and clean. I love the little mini-carts. I didn't know this but Albertson's recently stopped using the rewards cards but you still get great discounts. Overall, great grocery store. read more

I've been here a few times to buy some steelhead fish. I feel like this Albertsons especially is pretty expensive. One thing that turned me off is that they have salmon with color added. How gross is that. If you have to add color to the fish what does that tell you about the health of that fish? It really makes you wonder about where they get the fish and if it is safe for consumption. Go to another grocery store if it is more convenient. Henry's is always a win win. read more

The staff is occasionally helpful. They have a good selection on most anything. The prices there are higher though.. The staff is the worst part about this store by far. They aren't always accommodating and irritated at times if you ask for quarters...like I just asked them for a pint of blood... they can be rude at times. I was a front end manager at Albertsons for 6 years until 2012 down near Camp Pendleton so it will always hold a special place in my heart. The la habra store is awesome! Super clean and the employees are really friendly. They make a house made guacamole that is SO good! Even though it's more expensive here than other places, I'll still spend the money. Not the cheapest, but their produce is always GREAT. Sometimes people are allowed to sell things outside the doors a little too aggressively for me. A friend and I were verbally assaulted by two young men from the D.A.R.E. program when we declined to contribute. That was a bit odd, and I'm surprised Albertsons allows that outside their doors on their property. But the staff are all friendly, and since they took out the self check lines sometimes checkout gets a big tedious, but again, the staff is cheerful and helpful. read more

I just had some of the best customer service in a long time. My son's prom is tomorrow and I completely forgot that the corsage and boutonniere should be ordered ahead of time. I stopped at a florist and was told they could not help me. I then I rememberd that Albertsons has a floral section with a small refrigerated section that I thought had pre-made corsages every now and then, so I pulled into the Albertsons in La Habra. As I walked past the refrigerator section I saw no corsages and now I realized I would probably spend at least the next hour or two hunting down where I could get a decent corsage (and probably have to buy my own ribbon to match dress color and add to it) when Celia, the woman behind the florist counter, asked me in such a friendly voice, is there anything I can help you with? I explained my dilemma and expected her to not be able to help me out, and to my surprise she said it would be absolutely no problem for her to make me up a corsage and boutonniere that I could then pick up the next afternoon. That statement made my day! What I noticed the most about Celia was how she emanated the fact that she loves her job. Now, I could be wrong and maybe she is just a good actress, but I would place a large bet on the fact that I am not wrong. She was radiant.....If I owned a business I would want an employee exactly like Celia, who definately takes the extra step and does it with such serenity and so pleasant!. I have no clue what her salary is but she deserves double. It was not so much that I did not have the time to hunt down other options, but the fact that customer service like that is not a common occurance. Not that most people aren't polite, it is just that they don t stand out in a crowd. It was refreshing to say the least. Okay, so I moved to this area a little over 2 years ago and this Albertson's is the closest grocery store for me. The customer service is like flipping a coin. Sometimes it's great and they're helpful and sometimes they're rude and you just want to tell them what the hell is your problem?! The only rude ones I've encountered are cashiers. :/ The employees at the meat counter and the produce are super friendly and always helpful. Eh, this is like 2 minutes from my house. Re: Bakery department I ordered a birthday cake from their bakery with very specific details for the cake. They met my expectations. It was beautiful and tasted great! My guests and I were very happy with it. I would definitely order or purchase ready made cakes from them in the future. I have already recommended them to friends. They also offered an additional filling that the other bakeries did not, cherry. It was excellent! Their personnel were really friendly too! read more

I used to love going here! Today I decided to return only to be disappointed. I was looking for a large sized yogurt. The yogurt was incorrectly stocked. The small size was placed in the large size area. Of course, I looked around for a clerk to help me find the large size. I couldn't find anyone. I chose the small size, and went to the self checkout. All four of the self checkouts were closed. I had to wait in a 4 person long line for my one item. As I was waiting I looked over to see over 7 manager type workers looking at stacks of bags of potatoes, taking pictures. I felt as if they were pre-occupied. I did not feel welcome, I do not feel like they are taking pride in hard work here. I'll return to my normal grocery store. read more

Do not use this service. You will not receive the same pricing as if you went into the store and got it yourself, even if you "message" your "shopper" to make sure you get correct pricing. This used to be the Albertsons I used to stop at after work on the way home. One day I needed bread, milk, a few spices so I stopped real quick. I forgot my "Recycle Bags" at home but figured im only getting a couple things no big deal. I go to the cashier pay her and decline any plastic bags, I'll carry the few items I have and do my part for the environment. From the cashier I casually stroll out the door. I'm half way to my car and two kids run after me and stop me in front of everyone. They ask if I paid for items, I replied yes I just came from the cashier. They asked If I had a receipt , so while juggling my items in my hands I have to find which pocket my receipt is in the front of the store in the lane cars drive and in front of numerous employees and customers. I finally show them my receipt, the kid takes a hard look at it like he's looking over my passport coming back from Yemen and tells his partner 'he did pay' in a disapointed voice. I figured they were just doing there job at the time. Then I started getting more PO'd thinking how they handled it by running after me stopping me in front of everyone and forcing me to juggle my groceries to find my receipt in the driving lane and attitude in general. Even one of the other employees retrieving carts was shocked. So I called the manager and explained to him what had happened and how embarrassed I was. He apologized and told me he would send a gift card to show how much they appreciated my business blah blah. It's been 6 months and nothing. Thankfully I moved and no longer frequent this Albertsons. read more

So upset with my service yesterday went in to get 12 balloons and some sunflowers there was no one in the floral department I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come see if I needed help, finally a girl came said she wasn't allowed to blow up balloons but the lady who can was on lunch so she'd help me which was nice and I really appreciated it but it took another 20 minutes to blow up 9 balloons because I had somewhere to be and I didn't know how much longer another couple more balloons would take,I get to the checkout Stand and the guy ringing me up was talking about how the people in the floral department were horrible and didn't put a price on the balloons to his other co worker standing across from me she looks up at the 9 balloons and says 14.99 ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? For 9 balloons basically it was my fault because you're an idiot and don't know how much the shit in your store cost too lazy to get An ACTUAL PRICE so you're just gonna guess and charge me 15 dollars plus tax for 9 fucking balloons. read more

I ordered a Storm Trooper cake for my son's birthday. Probably the ugliest cake I've ever paid for. I am really disappointed. The ink (on the border) is green instead of black, full of seams that aren't lined up, plain. Hopefully it tastes better than it looks. read more
