If you want to be met with unbridled stares of pure boredom, annoyance, and feel like you are a hassle to Pharmacist's lives, then this is the place for you! If you need important medication ASAP or just in a generally quick manner, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. Every time I have to have a Rx filled, I groan. For YEARS I've been coming to the Albertson's pharmacy and nothing has changed. You have to ring a bell or yell across the counter to get someone's attention (Stand there expecting someone to notice you and help you out is an absolute waste of time). You will then be met with the most unenthusiastic, annoyed "I'll be with you in one minute" as if you are taking away their precious time from doing absolutely nothing. Once someone slowly walks to the counter with the most irritated look on their face, I mean how dare they actually WORK and FILL PRESCRIPTIONS, you're given the standard, "Do some shopping and come back in 20 minutes". Which equates to, "Don't come back for another hour and even then it probably won't be ready". Yesterday I had three Rx's I needed filled. About an hour later I went to pick them up and only received two out of three, being told that I only gave two Rx requests. After a moment of assuring my own competence, it was then discovered that my last Rx was tossed aside because they "weren't sure what the daily dosage was". I was then told it would be ready in ten minutes and to come pick it up. Much longer than ten minutes later, my Rx was ready but could not be given because the authorizing employee had gone on lunch. I'm not naming names, although I feel it is blatantly obvious which individual I am talking about. I will be taking my Rx requests to CVS where Pharmacists actually CARE about quality customer service, filling important Rx's in a timely manner, and having a positive attitude towards the people who support the pharmacy and hand over their money. **Shoutout to Brenda who no longer works there. She was the only Pharmacist who actually gave a damn about her job and her customers. She was always happy to see you, remembered your name (Unlike SOME of the Pharmacists who have been filling my Rxs for YEARS), asked you about your day, went over in detail about what Rx you were getting and any possible side effects, and left you feeling absolutely wonderful. Randy - I hope you read this and take this into serious consideration. Your Pharmacy and the Pharmacists are an absolute joke. read more

I have been going to Albertsons more since the renovation and they are adding more Organic items (still carry too many items with partially hydrogenated oils and corn syrup). HOWEVER, I called Wednesday 12/30 to ask a simple question; "do you carry fresh turnip greens or dandelion greens?" I was placed on hold 7 minutes. I hung up and called back. The same young woman answered and as I politely asked for Produce again, she said, "hello, hello? I can't hear you."and hung up on me. My phone has worked all morning just fine. SO, I called back and a young man answered. I politely explained that I was trying to get the produce department. He apologized and transferred me. Another young woman answered who sounded suspiciously like the first. Mid sentence, she hung up on me. I called Sprouts who answered immediately and transferred me promptly. The Produce gentleman answered and did in fact carry greens. Customer service training, Mister Albertsons???? I'll drive to Sprouts, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. read more

My parents now live around the corner from this supermarket and so on my recent visit over the Thanksgiving holidays I made almost daily trips to this store. The store is well organized, and had a surprising craft beer selection. The soda aisle also had a surprising selection of old-fashioned root beers (Dad's Brand Root Beer anyone?). Even with the last minute holiday rush, the store was clean, and the aisles were stocked and we never had to wait long on line. All in all, a good addition to the neighborhood! read more

The best Albertsons I've ever gone to. It's a huge new store that even has an Einstein Bagels store in it and if you don't know, now you know...they serve the best Vanilla Hazelnut coffee ever AND the best bagels after Brueggers. :) It's a clean store, never crowded filled with all kinds of selections and friendly staff. They have a US Bank that's open 7 days a week and even a Redbox $1 video machine along with a Coinstar coin exchange machine. Easy access, usually in and out when I go in the evenings. Good looking produce. Freshly cut meats. Seafood selection is average yet it looks nice and fresh. They are significantly more than many of the area stores and at least the grocery stores in The Valley. They're open until midnight and also they sell dry ice which is good to know when visiting many of the areas fantastic farmers markets. :) read more

This review is for the pharmacy. Yelp didn't have it as separate for some reason. Don't expect any help from the pharmacist. I took in 4 prescriptions for my husband who was having surgery. He never had a prescription filled there before. The pharmacist himself helped me- he seemed friendly enough. I asked specifically if it would be better to use a discount card instead of his insurance- he said the insurance would be "much better". Yeah, for the pharmacy! The costs were approximately the same overall, BUT, he would have been elegible for a gift card ($50 at the time) if I used the discount card. Using his insurance made him inelegible for the promotional gift card for first time prescriptions. Now, he'll never be elegible. read more

This has been our neighborhood store since we moved to Newbury park 4 years ago. Must say I was very pleasantly surprised never shopped at Albertsons a whole lot before we moved here. This location is enormous with a huge selection in every department. Prices are great especially their sale prices. Recommend using their App for even better discounts! read more

This has to be the most over priced chain Supermarket, the store is set up so poorly it's hard to get out of there fast even when just getting a couple of things. What's funny and I just don't understand is there sale prices on most things don't even match Targets everyday prices. I love Trader Joes and they have all the stuff I like. A trip to T.J's and Target is well worth the effort to not have to go to Albertsons! When I'm going for the real high end good fresh things, Fish, Meats etc. I'm going to my other favorites, Bristle Farms & Whole Foods. Albertsons however does serve a purpose to people that live close or people who like to go to one place for most of their shopping needs. Me, when I'm going to spend money on the good stuff you'll find me at Bristle Farms or Whole Foods. But my everyday favorite is Trader Joes! read more

This store is rapidly going down the toilet, and I'm sure it has everything to do with the acquisition by Cerberus Capital Management which, by its very nature, is a "milker." Meaning its one of those companies that milks its properties dry, much like the owner of the Denver Post newspaper, Alden Global Capital. Complaints: Phone pay NEVER works; they refuse to fix it. More and more products being removed because they're not "top three," such as fresh catfish, cheese/peanut butter cracker six-packs, etc. More out-of-stock items than ever Overstocking certain product items, such as jasmine rice. Is there really a need to have 15 brands of jasmine rice? Or 22 brands of long grain rice? The staff, mostly, are wonderful and have been there a long time. Clean and well-lit store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an extensive produce section and Rey is always friendly and eager to help. The bakery is well-stocked from fresh baked bread to sweets. However, the primary reason I frequent this store is that they listen to the customer. Specifically, several years ago I asked about marrow bones. They were hit and miss for a couple weeks then but after that they always had plenty. Now, they 98% of the time have exactly what I am looking for or can tell me when they are coming in (usually the next day). Randy the store manager is also helpful and easy to talk with. read more

This store has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! I went in the store to pick up a few things last night, because I got home too late to make it to Trader Joe's down the street. That was one of the worst mistakes of my life! While waiting in the checkout line with my nephew, an obviously drunken customer runs into my nephew not once but twice! He ran into my nephew hard enough to draw blood! My nephew yelped in pain and berated the other customer for his rudeness, then went outside to wait for me to finish my purchase. After my nephew left, the other customer said to the cashier, "I was worried he was going to sue me!" The cashier then said: "Oh, I thought he was with you! " The other customer said: "Not hardly." The cashier then said: "Don't worry, he's ALWAYS like that. I responded, "Be careful, that's my nephew you're talking about, and proceeded to explain that my nephew has neuropathy and has severe pain in his legs and feet. The cashier never asked if my nephew was OK - she just rolled her eyes and went back to talking to the other customer. After I finished my purchase, I went outside and told my nephew what had happened. He insisted on going back into the store to make a complaint. We went to the so-called "Customer Service" counter, where an employee listened to our complaint, and then told us that she would have to get the manager, who was on break. After we waited for a few minutes, the manager came back in to listen to the complaint. He then came over and talked to the cashier, who claimed that I was never in her line! She then claimed that she had never said anything about my nephew! Two baldfaced lies in less than a minute, actually contradicting herself. After some heated discussion with the manager, he agreed to ask her to come over to apologize. She did not apologize, but made a halfhearted excuse, obviously insincere. We then asked for the phone number of the store director and the corporate headquarters, and were pointed to the store receipt, which did indeed have this information. After that, we left the store. The final indignity was that we were greeted by a Ventura County Sheriff's deputy as we left the store. He stated that the store had called, stating that someone in the store was "creating a disturbance." He was soon joined by three other police cars!!! Luckily for us, the sheriff's deputy who had greeted us was a reasonable man, and soon determined that we had done nothing wrong, and let us go. So, let me recap what happened: 1. My nephew's leg was injured badly enough to draw blood. 2. The cashier made disparaging remarks about my nephew in front of me. 3. They called the police on us for making a complaint. I will never go into that store again in my life. If you go in, don't dare make a complaint. read more

One of the unique features that I typically don't see too often at other grocery stores and even other Albertsons include: (1) their craft beer section (2) the huge wall freezers of ice cream and frozen treats separate from the other frozen food items! Never had a problem with parking here and I never had a problem waiting in long checkout lines. Beer + frozen treats without hassle is a winning combination in my book! ... oh yeah, they sell groceries too. read more

The worker named Jim was AMAZING!!!!he was out collecting carts when I pulled into the lot with my three year old son and when we got out of the car my son very loudly expressed his NEED to have the police car cart at which point Jim ran across the lot to get my son the police car cart and met me at the front door withb the cart already wiped down with the wipes that are provided. Jim went above and beyond and deserves some sort of recognization for his work! read more

this is my regular grocery store. I live right there so its easy. But lately I have been having more and more trouble with items being out of stock, or close to expiration. The managers listen to my concerns, but nothing ever seems to be done about it. I like that they have a big selection of items, and the store seems to be clean and tidy most of the time. Cannot be compared to Whole Foods or Sprouts because Albertsons has a more diverse selection (food, pharmacy, bakery, liquor, greeting cards, deli). Two major issues with these losers over the last 2 months. 1) ordered a tiered white plain birth cake for my daughters bday party. My wife and daughter were going to decorate it with fresh flowers and such. When we got the cake to the venue to add the flowers, the layers slid off one another and the entire cake was a collapsed mess. 2) every year I purchase around $5k in gift cards for my employees. Over the years I have found that it's easier to go in the evening time when it is slow so that I do not congest the lines. Last night I went to the store selected all my gift cards and specifically asked for a manager to come ring me up so that I wouldn't interfere with the other customers. Out comes Lance who treated me like complete criminal and had nothing but problems trying to ring me up. He warned me that he was going to have to see my ID after I presented it to him he looked at it for about 30 seconds holding up to the light and making a large deal about it making sure it matched my credit card number. All the while the other customers were glaring at me like I was a thief. He continued to need help from the other checker who was very nice her name is Sofia. She apologized many times that it was taking so long and I said that's fine I understand this happens every year it's not your fault. Lance then starts in loudly in front of the other customers that this transaction is very suspicious and looked fraudulent because it was after 10pm. I explained again I come later so as not to cause the store issues with delays as this entire transaction Took over 45 minutes. Bottom line is Lance needs some training on not ostracizing customers who have shopped at this store for years and have great relationships with several other employees. read more

This used to be my store growing up. It has changed so much. All of the aisles are mixed around and I couldn't find anything. Young kids working at the register...my checker couldn't count my 16 cents in coins-twice. Busy parking lot. Fancy coffee shop inside. Ehhh... tries to be fancy and cater to the upscale neighborhood...but it is just a regular grocery store inside with a fancy cover outside. Not the best service or prices. read more

My favorite place to quick shop! Their service deli has the BEST chicken tenders - WAY better than anything you can get in a restaurant for A LOT cheaper. The only drawback is the long lines. I tend to prefer the stores with self-checkout...I think this would be a nice investment for Albertsons. Other than the long lines, not a bad place to shop. read more

The store is fine. It's just too big for me and overpriced. I avoid going there if possible for those reasons. If I need to just get a few things it takes so long because everthing is so spread out. I also always feel like I am getting ripped off unless I am purchasing one of their sale items. I'd much rather shop at Trader Joe's where it is smaller, friendlier and always priced lower. I want to buy things when I need them not when they are on sale! But compared to other large supermarkets, I suppose Albertsons is as good as the rest. read more

I live in Vegas and was in Thousand Oaks for a Celebration of life party. I could've used Ralph's or Von's for convenience but I wanted quality and Albertson's never fails to deliver. I frequently shop at this strore i live next to it and i love it! They have everything i need at affordable prices. I have to say one of my favorite people to work there is a blonde girl, teenager. She's really funny but definitely dosnt take any BS! LOL. enjoy her bagging my idems she's really sweet. Best staff EVER here. Prices are fairly high, but that's groceries for ya! Deli staff always friendly and fast. Most employees have been here for years and they are the best. Not crazy about the cameras everywhere, but considering there's a bank in the store, works for me. Fruits & veggie area very clean and organized. I have had to return a few things without problem. If you have a certain product you'd like to see Albertson's carry, just let them know. Also like that the store supports local charity efforts; scouts, schools, etc. Really great that they have special fundraisers for our military personnel too. Downside would be the customers who leave their carts in the parking space...just a personal pet peeve :) read more

I am very upset with Albertsons on Kimber Road. I had pre-ordered my son's graduation cake on Monday with details and a required time for pick up with the actual supervisor of the bakery department. The supervisor herself messed up my order !!The cake was never done!! They couldn't even find my order form we had to get a cake that was already sitting there for a day and it just fell apart!! I am fuming and never buying my cakes there again ever all I got was pacified by the STORE manager I'm sorry I'm sorry He/they never even offered compensation or nothing. Now had it been a birthday cake, that's fine people, hopefully, would have birthdays every year ONE don't get to graduate every year they get a ZEEERROOOO star. Quick, easy, and convenient. Lines can get long sometimes but they made a new rule that with more than 3 people in line they have to open a new register. They have 2 redboxes inside and the best selection of pasteries. Also extremely amazing homemade chips and guacamole! read more
