Hidden gem in Ramona…read more Thursday nights at Ramona Family Naturals are one of those things you almost don't want to tell too many people about. Dirty Confetti sets up on the patio and plays country while everyone settles in with something cold to drink and something good to eat. No big production. No velvet ropes. Just live music, a laid-back patio, and a crowd that seems perfectly happy to have found the place. I went with the steak sandwich--tender steak, grilled onions, greens, sauce, good bread, and a pile of seasoned potatoes on the side. Nothing precious about it. Just a damn good sandwich. They also have a great selection of local wines and local craft beer, which makes the whole thing feel even more like Ramona. Good food. Cold beer. Local wine. Live music on a Thursday night. Sometimes the best places aren't trying very hard to be cool. They just are.

Obviously, refrigerate if they won't be consumed within the 14 days but once refrigerated they must stay refrigerated . When buying at the booth, they have not been refrigerated. Current price: $8 for 1 dozen. Expensive but quality and freshness is priceless. If you haven't had fresh farm eggs or don't know the difference, you need to refine that pallet of yours because you are missing out. Fresh as in unwashed!!! I've gone "country" in this beach city! The difference is in the yolk. I will take creamier over store bought any day. Ex: I make my own fresh pasta noodles from scratch. That alone, the noodles are already fresh and silky.
