This is a decent sized grocery store/ convenience store that also has a butcher section and lotto tickets. Need snacks, fruits, vegetables, pet food, drinks, personal hygiene, refrigerated food items, and much much more!

cutest market in town!! (= it's a very traditional style market. you can prepare your own coffee with their variety of torani flavored syrups for only $1.99 any size cup. not to mention they have very friendly staff, and beyond reasonable prices on all of their items.

    Great market

Great service. Russ, got over phone was cool ( I'm sure that was his name). All workers very nice. My husband and I drove from Tustin, California to buy a meat pack. Love the drive down there.

This is a good market for the area. I usually stop by here for waters and some snacks on some long drives. The parking lot has plenty of room and is really nicely paved. The people are friendly as well. Whats really great about this place is that its open at 6 am!

Visited 2/12/2019 This is one great well stocked country market. I pick up odds and ends all the time here. A great selection of liquor A great selection of liquor, ice cream, bread, and most everything else you might need in a pinch. Yes it's a little bit more expensive than a supermarket in the city but you also don't have to drive far when you live out here. Dons has a great meat department with Quality Black Angus beef. There is a small produce section with most of your needs. Ice cream section always has a great variety of brands and types of ice cream bars. They even have some of the local fresh baked pies and bread. It's worth a stop if you need something. Enjoy

Oh. I took another storefront pic.

It's not like there's another supermarket close by for miles, and all your grocery goodies and necessities are here. I spied the sign up front for jerky [http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ty2bLCsjNbEI8ayGkycPYw?select=7L8aL2AUil2aL2NUaF2VvQ] and headed in to wander the aisles and check out their stuff. I would have bought some, but $19.99 was more than I was willing to pay this time for a snack [http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ty2bLCsjNbEI8ayGkycPYw?select=Qcp7mQOFZXaT2P9kdROVfQ]. I did see the hard cider for $5.99 and didn't want to go home with just another pie or loaf of bread, so I got a bottle [http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ty2bLCsjNbEI8ayGkycPYw?select=Wv9svaDKy5NvTn2_DghxAw]. Just passing through and got your fill of Julian apples? Or maybe you need to stock up on goods from the general store. Well, you might be subject to convenience store prices on some items, and Don's Market is here for your needs.

This has become a go-to spot post-hike in the area and always is the treat I look forward to. On my most recent visit I had the BLT which had avocado, an egg, and chipotle mayo on brioche - hit the spot. Each sandwich comes on a different type of bread, which adds to the flavor profiles for each. Sometimes places just put it all on wheat or sourdough, but I like how the bread is paired to add to the sandwich. There's seating inside and out and always plenty of parking, though I can imagine on the weekend, it's more competitive. Although the spot has been around for a while, I just recently got introduced to it on enthusiastic recommendations from others, so I pass that enthusiastic recommendations onto you.

Maggie misses the fresh baked fruit bars and were soft and full of sweet fruit flavor.  Cashier told us they are only baked on Saturday now.  We touched the fruit bars and they were all hard from sitting around half the week.  It's sad as we loved stopping here after a trip to Julian for fresh baked treats and Doc Brown's Root Beer.  Looks like we will have to buy all our baked treats at one of the Julian bakeries like Apple Alley that bakes their pies every morning.  https://www.hungryones.com/2021/10/apple-alley-bakery/ Staff was nice and efficient.

I love that they carry a large selection of local wines and locally made goods -- such a good spot for a meaningful gift or a Ramona souvenir.
