As an avid shopper at Albertsons you start to notice that the layout is usually the same with a few tweaks here and there. This location has a great new facade with stonework and the newer self-checkout machines. Shopping made simple. Most of the cashiers at this location are jolly 40+ females that strike small talk during checkout. The cashiers are usually more knowledgeable than the rest of the staff, although but there seems to be a good fusion of teamwork. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I went to this Albertson's today, and a witnessed a store employee verbally harassing a couple and questioning the legitimacy of their service animal. The couple provided documentation and were humble enough to just say that they are dealing with cancer, the man was a veteran and the dog who I saw was in a stroller was just sleeping inside. The store employee, Mary Lane which I later found out was the individual that accosted the couple and asked the mans wife if she had cancer.. I mean how does an employee, no a human being do this to someone else? The mans wife started to cry and said her mom f*** died from cancer, so this is just atrocious. I won't shop here again for risk that I can get hassled too - I have disabilities too and I am afraid to be confronted. Please be safe and stay away from this store. After shopping at this store for 13 years, the service is so bad that they ask me to shop elsewhere, which I agree with them due to superbly bad service by management and front line staff. Even being disabled gets you no help at this location. IE. The front manager woman has a disabled vet and police man in her family so she has already done her part. If your disabled your not getting any help here. They refused to help shop or get items for me. Today they did not have shopping carts, when asked they blamed that on the homeless. They blamed the lack of normal items like milk, cat food and toilet paper on me. Really one Consumer has caused all your problems? Did I tell you they are sending everyone to sprouts across the street. They really just need to close this location and or fire the staff and get all new people. What happened to this place? This was basically the only market I shopped at, I knew everyone by name, checkers were always fast and friendly. Now there's never enough checkers, they aren't very friendly, and the prices are horrible. Their sale prices are higher than Staters regular prices! Do we have Vons to thank for this? Ok, I started off giving this Albertson's 4 stars, but I'm changing my rating now due to what I saw a few weeks ago. I was walking in to this store and noticed an employee smoking outside. No big deal, the guy was probably on his break and wanted a smoke. Whatever. So I go inside, do some shopping, and then head on over to the produce section to get some apples. The same employee that I saw smoking outside was now stocking the apples with his bare hands, REEKING of cigarette smoke. I could smell him from 10 feet away, and now he was TOUCHING the apples that I was about to buy. Completely grossed out by this, I walked away and bought some oranges instead. On the way back to my car, in the parking lot, standing in the parking space in front of my car was a middle aged woman holding a guinea pig. This is my regular grocery store. Its closest to my apartment so they see me quite a bit. Overall selection is good. There have been a few more gourment items that I had to go else where to get like sherry wine vinegar. But other than that it has what i need. Beer, wine and alcohol selection is great. I've always found what i needed. They have a huge selection of local craft brew pints. I am always finding something new to try. Produce. Prices are okay. Not great. Quality is good. But its hard to get excited when I know I can go down the street and get better for cheaper. But sometimes you just want to go to one store and not drive all around town. I will say that I wish there was a bigger selection of cheeses. Meat Selection, I really love their meat selection. The meat counter staff is really friendly and they always have great meat in stock. read more

These guys are neurotic (the corp, not the people). This store features WAY higher prices on everything from meat to wine and how do they compensate? They play Monopoly! If I wanted to play Monopoly I would stay home! I go to the store to get the stuff I need at a decent price. Much better food at better prices at the Stater brothers down the way. Best wine prices in the area (sometimes half even with the 'buy 4' discount') are at Rite Aid next door. Sorry new owners... just do what makes sense for the consumer and you will sell a lot more here. The actual employees here are great... People are normally nice, some of the staff can be intrusive asking personal questions they really have no business asking, I know customer service involves being friendly, but stick to light stuff like talking about the weather, not asking why soneone is in a wheel chair - fyi people who are in wheel chairs do not like an emphasis ever placed on that damn chair. It's inapproprate to ask why, and it isn't anyone's obligation to talk about their disability, it should never be brought up, offering help, that is good, don't get me wrong. read more

I know Albertsons can be pricey, but you can also find some great deals! They have clipper coupons in the mail and also fab 5 which are random household items at a quantity discount. I want to write this review because I prefer coming to this Albertsons in Vista over the others which appear smaller. The meat department is awesome always very helpful and friendly. Also want to commend the bakery and deli dept too. I recently placed an order for a birthday cake and items from the deli. Do to an unforeseen circumstance, they were very understanding about my last minute cancellation in both departments. I believe the cake was already made, but she told me I can reorder anytime and did not ask me to come pay for the cake they made. Also aside from the friendly personnel, they have a US bank inside and the fun carts for kids to ride in. Literally, I come to this Albertsons as it is easiest with my 2 year old. He loves to ride the different themed carts while mommy gets to shop! Lastly, they have recycling machines that you can use to redeem $$$$. There are certain hours for the machines but still really convenient. One last last last comment, their fried chicken is delicious and a great deal. During thursday night football you can get 8 pieces of chicken and a 2 liter for $5.99! I know fried chicken is taboo but you only live once! read more

First, Albertsons is great; however, in the butchery, there is an employee "Lee" who clearly doesn't like his job, nor his coworkers, or his supervisor. He openly was demeaning to a coworker who merely was trying to get a job done. He was offended, ask the young coworker if he was his supervisor now, stated he meaning his boss wants it one way you want it another....it was unprofessional and he came off like a total tool. He did not wrap my meat properly. He told me hes not a wrapper he's a singer...that's a TOOL. In a crisis like this, with the coronavirus scare, people are looking to shop online. There are a lot of people out of work right now who might be happy to be hired by Albertson's or Vons. However, since it's always about money and not supporting the community, this store has not hired the help it needs during this difficult time. I tried on numerous occasions to order online, first for delivery, then for pick up. I can't do either on their website, was redirected to Vons in Oceanside only to find out I would have to wait over a week for either delivery or pick up. Would have been nice to know that BEFORE I spent over an hour filling up my online cart. Every time I shop at this store, even before the virus, there are only one or two lanes open regardless of the lines. read more

I have been a Vons customer for many years. Originally with covid, I was able to order delivery from our Vons. Apparently Albertson took over Vons and now our Vons store is not allowed to deliver to us anymore. We cannot even do a pick up service from our Vons. So we are forced to use Albertson. So I thought we would give it a try. That has been very disappointing. Several mistakes were made. They even sent regular milk even though we asked for lactose free milk. The manager said they would deliver to us whenever they got the item back in stock and he would call to let me know. This is 3 weeks later and still no call. It is not possible that Albertson has not had lactose free milk for 3 weeks. I finally told them just to forget the milk and give me a refund but they are very slow to give you a refund. I have called 3 times and spoken to the manager and yet no refund has been given. They don't care if a lactose intolerant person has to drink regular milk and get stomach upset. read more

All I have to say to Alyssa is thank you. I went to Albertsons this evening to get a fried chicken meal. After a really tough day I was in the worst mood ever and unfortunately took it all out on Alyssa, when all she was doing was following policy. Rather than treating me badly (as she totally rightfully could've), she just smiled and accommodated me anyway. I immediately felt horrible and realized how badly I was treating her when ALL she was doing was her job. I've worked in customer service my entire working life, and I know better than to treat someone behind the counter that way. I apologized to her, and she gracefully accepted and explained to me that she understood my position and was just so kind. After checking out at the register, I went back to visit Alyssa and to apologize again...she really comforted me and went out of her way to let me know it was okay and that she didn't take it personally. This all may sound so silly, but she totally turned my night around and made my challenging day much brighter. This taught me a lesson, and I'll never ever treat someone like that again. She was really sweet, and was also great at her job. I hope she gets to read this and hope she knows how much I appreciated her tonight. She made a difference! Thank you. read more

The lines have gotten so slow that I completely switched stores. The cashiers take five times longer than the cashiers at Northgate across the street, likely because they are overworked and understaffed. We've also overheard workers talking trash about each other and arguing with their coworkers when one of them asks the other to help out with bagging or cleanup or whatever. There are some workers I've known since we moved here four years ago, and they are fantastic, and I love saying hello and seeing them when I need to stop by for an item that isn't at my usual store - but they desperately need more support. Hire more people. Hire better people. I know retail isn't a great job (been there), but I don't think I've seen a worse attitude on someone's sleeve than I have seen with some of the baggers and cashiers. Don't do the good ones a disservice by sticking them with people who don't even want to work. read more

Went in today to get a sandwich. First it took 20 minutes for the lady to make it. Then when she was done she hands it to me and says sorry we don't have mayo. Like you couldn't tell me that before you made the sandwich?! And it's a store go grab some mayo. The after I get home I grab my own mayo to put in my sandwich when I noticed she put turkey lettuce cheese and jalapeno... Wtf I order a turkey cheese lettuce and pickles.
