Alchemy is so good even though it's very hipsterish. It has tons of smoothies, every one which has been excellent, and tons of juices. The inside is nice and spacious. It also has lots of vegan food items. The price is not too bad when you think about quality. I most recently came in when it was breakfast. It was obvious to me to get the breakfast smoothie. They have more than 20 it looks like so it can be hard to choose if you've never tried any of them. It's about $7 for a regular size which is a good amount. There's also stuff to eat like vegan donuts. It has sandwiches with many vegan choices. The hemp and hummus sounds really good so maybe next time. It's located in the Fitness Loft which is a trendy place to work out if you have tons of money. The building is very clean and nice. It has lots of natural light and has a good wifi connection. The entrance is almost across from the hospital. If you're looking for health food not too expensive try Alchemy. It's a great local business. I absolutely CRAVE this weekly. I usually treat myself on Friday mornings to some Ubereats. Of course working from home right now creates a need for some form of excitement, right? It's the little things. My go to smoothie is and always will be the Breakfast Smoothie II from Alchemy. I add some chocolate whey protein as well. It is sooooo good! I am not lying when I choose this over my own breakfast cooking on Fridays (I went to school for culinary arts so that's saying something!). I also like to get their creamy avocado lox toast. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive salmon on it but I would just figured they were out. None the less, the avocado toast can be made with gluten free bread!!! My younger adult health-conscious daughter & her like minded husband asked me to meet them here for brunch on a Monday late morning before flying back to their home. My daughter had been eagerly awaiting this first visit to Alchemy after hearing of good reviews. The Earl grey tea with crushed black raspberries & almond milk was perfectly warm & smooth with an occasional surprise of berry tang & was just simply amazing! (However I must add; my brother & his family run a family dairy farm in Southeastern Ohio so I personally cannot freely promote the purchase nor the consumption of any milk other than fresh cow's milk from Ohio! :) haha but seriously, yay for Shaw Farms in Stockport, Ohio) anyhoo, the sandwiches were made on freshly baked bread & were absolutely delicious with the locally fresh produce. There's seating available inside & outdoor patio seating facing the parking lot. Unfortunately it had rained so we ate inside. Tables and chairs were clean (& so were the restrooms) and the atmosphere was colorful, comfortable & quiet with soft music. The three of us were able to comfortably enjoy our nice conversation with the freshly prepared food & drinks as a trickled-stream of customers were quickly in and out with take out orders. Super trendy spot! I liked the fresh and colorful vibe from the moment I walked in the door. Unfortunately they were out of a couple ingredients to make the Blueberry Almond Butter smoothie bowl so I went with the Chunky Monkey one instead. Good move. It was absolutely delicious! The only thing that I wasn't into were the raw cacao nibs. They were just too crunchy and hard for me to bite into so I would pass on those next time. Wish it would have been plain chocolate chips instead and then it would have been perfect. My description doesn't do it justice though. I mean look at my smoothie bowl!! Absolutely incredible masterpiece, and I wish I lived close by to go here all the time. As a note, it was pretty noisy in there because a certain blender (I'm guessing) is super loud and it echoes a bunch. This is my 4th time here. The staff has been really friendly, and let me sample the soup each time(curried pumpkin is the best one yet). The first visit I got the banana almond butter açaí bowl and today got the purple coconut and added whey protein. Both were absolutely excellent. The hoof hearted cold brew in a can is really good as well. They carry premium drinks and sides, and I leave here feeling like I'm not a piece of garbage for what I just ate, granted, it's 2-3x the price of garbage fast food but if you are looking at this place on yelp that probably isn't your big concern. Can't wait to come back and try out some more of the menu! And I'm back. I've tried a few different bowls now and the jalapeño turkey sandwich ($8.50). The sandwich was good, it wasn't heavy, not that anything is heavy here, but I didn't get much or any jalapeño taste. The side of balsamic chickpeas was FANTASTIC. I'd eat that in way too large of a quantity if given the opportunity. The peanut butter energy bite was pretty bland but, all in all, I still liked it. The ingredients were interesting and seem nutritious so I'll call it a net positive purchase at $1.50. Or miss out on so much yumminess... *Quinoa fried rice: great side as well *All of the balls...the little protein balls on the counter: imma be honest, not really a fan of these. I Freaking Love This Place! It seems like Columbus (like most major cities) has a rich offering of healthy juice/smoothie/salad places with transparent operations and natural ingredients. And to that, I say "heck yes!" I have favorite dishes at each, but Alchemy seems to have a slight edge. I like that the menu has more traditional lunch items done with a healthy modern twist and also some trendy health food like toast and smoothie bowls. The Nutty Dragon is my must-have. Order that and thank me later. Just had one yesterday and it honestly kept me full as long as any other lunch item would. I didn't know how much I needed this place until I tried it. I had the Banana Cacao Avocado bowl, the Pesto Avocado toast and also the Blue Majik pressed juice. The bowl was delicious and I loved the raw cacao nibs. The avocado toast was one of the best that I have ever had. The pesto was perfectly savory and the hemp seeds added a needed crunch to contrast the avocado. The space was so bright and beautiful with a lot of natural lighting. I loved that there was a plant at every table, it was just too cute. I'll be honest, my eyes were bigger than my stomach because I was so full when I left. Here is what I love: The smoothies: You can't go wrong here. They use fresh ingredients and you know exactly what is going into your smoothie. My favorites are Strawberry Banana Chia and Peanut Butter Power. The atmosphere: The employees are always patient when I can't decide what to order, and when I finally decide, they are more than happy to help me. The food: I would eat the quinoa "fried" rice everyday, tbh. It fills me up without being too heavy, and it takes like a healthy version of Chinese takeout fried rice. YUM. First time here! I did make a point to come in today for my free Elite '17 juice, but also got the veggie sandwich to go, which was amazing. All the right tasty veggies and hummus on toasted wheat bread. I would def. get it again. If I worked at the hospital I would be here all the time for food. I'm more of a "go once and move on to new adventures" typa girl. So you know something is up. Something real good. I have never ordered the same thing twice and have sampled what my friends have ordered so I feel confident in saying that the ENTIRE MENU is delicious. Yes, the whole thing! You must try really reaaaally hard to go wrong and welp, still impossible to not enjoy it (in my eyes). I should preface this by letting you know that I eat 92ish% plant-based so Alchemy is my dream. However, I've taken friends here who like the occasional fruit and veg but don't know what chia seeds or a jackfruit looks like. They too instantly fell in love. One last thing about the food - Alexis and her staff are constant innovators with new glorious creations and seasonal items (helllllo pumpkin pie bowl and red gingerbread smoothie) so prepared to be surprised for what is coming next. I am loving the wave of cold-pressed juice spots all over the city, and Alchemy fits the bill for the south side of town. Except this isn't *just* juice... Situated at the bottom of The FItness Loft, Alchemy is big, open, and bright. They have a great selection of cold-pressed juices, salads, smoothies, soups, and sandwiches. Everything is extremely fresh and contains super high-quality ingredients. I've tried several juices and smoothies so far, and these folks know their stuff! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are eager to answer any questions. Sometimes places like this can come across a bit aloof, but Alchemy is all about nourishing food that isn't pretentious. The prices are also on-point for this style of food. One of my favorite things here is the room to work! There are loads of tables and chairs, and they have free wifi. As a remote worker, I'm always looking for new places where I can be productive, and I don't want to be in a coffee shop all the time. Alchemy is still new, so, of course, they're still working out some kinks and making their processes better. I knew I needed a pick me up when I got off work today, and I knew I hadn't yet been to Alchemy. One and one made two. Since Bryant loves this place, I was lucky to catch him down the road, and he joined me. And his Review is 100% spot on: Five stars, hands down. Phenomenal business! When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised with the bright, "happy" feeling I got. I love the white, minimalist design and layout. Plenty of room for groups. Several tables. The open counter made it easy to chat with the two gentlemen workers. While the one was making more juices right there on the back counter, the other guy explained the concept of the store, and all the different liquids they offer. I LOVE red beets, so their Easy Beet juice caught my eye hook line and sinker. I decided to make it into a smoothie: almonds, organic spinach and banana added to the juice concoction. Pure (healthy) bliss!! My golly, the smoothie was so good: no added sugars, all kinds of fruits and veggies mixed in. How can something so GOOD be so healthy? It was all that jazz and more. I had a craving for one of their salads (I mean really people, how can I pass up such a delightful afternoon snack), so I picked up one of their Sweet Potato & Lentil pre-portioned sides. It was also stupendous! Just the right amount of flavors, not over-killed with too many spices/herbs. I won't hesitate recommending this smoothie/salad combination! Without a doubt, I don't ever feel like I'm being ignored when I'm here. As soon as I walk in, I'm greeted. All the workers are so nice and they are willing to help if you don't know what you want. PRICE is very reasonable. You have a variety of things to choose from even if you are on a budget. So, you can spend as low as $3.50 to as much as $9. And if you get a glass bottle you can bring it back to recycle and get $0.25 off your next purchase. DRINKS/BOWLS can you say amazing? the Strawberry Chia and Grapefruit Basil were one of my faves. The bowls are um, delicious. The dragonfruit bowls (all their bowls actually) are IG perfect. So cute sometimes that you don't wanna eat it... but you probably should cause it'll melt.
