Pretty good. But you gotta do the work and hit the code and go thru the process. The WSM right now is under construction. So the produce side is smaller and off to the side not the main hall. Then you go out and walk around the sidewalk off Lorain to get to the meat side. Produce side is to the left. Smaller space but they have it organized better. Everyone is selling the same stuff and prices are fairly similar for each stall. But it is brighter and well laid out. I guess you can go by who looks the most trustworthy to who you buy from. Just keep an eye out to what you buy and make sure it's what you get. That was the old market. Hopefully it's better now. TBH I did not buy any veggies or fruit. Meat side is abundant with meat, fish, pastry, sauces, cheese and other vendors. You can find a deal. We got 3 pounds of ground meat for $18. Sunday is an off day some vendors are off so not all the stalls are filled. But more than enough. We also went to Christopher the bread guy for our favorite bread. So good! We got the rustic Italian small loaf and they sliced it. Good sandwiches this week for lunch. But they have a million other options too. This is a nice little treasure and it's worth the time and effort to go here. Grab lunch and hang out on W25th it's fun and worth the visit.

They had a promotion that you can get 2 weeks for the price of 1 week and try this out. So I decided to try. Last week I got my first box. I chose the small vegetarian box. It's $29 bucks a week. So I got it for $19 bucks a week. My next box is this week. I got kale, zucchini, cucumbers, dill, blueberries, potatoes, kohlrabi, beets, peas, and an onion. Then we bought chocolate chips cookies and also a bag of english muffins. I made potato salad with the red potatoes and kohlrabi, and dill. We had breakfast sandwiches with the muffins they are big and really good! And I've made the various other veggies throughout the week. I am looking forward to this weeks box. I pick up at the Hudson stop. The lady who helped us was very nice. And they set up in a large space so you can see them and it's a good large window of time to get your stuff. Overall good experience and the veggies were fresh and good. I like that you're getting this from the source farmer. I like supporting a local farmer. Depending on your time and your means this could be a good alternative to shopping at corporate stores. Or maybe if you hate shopping for veggies. They have carnivore boxes and also vegan boxes. I chose the vegetarian because we get meat from a butcher. So this could be your shopping for the week in some cases. Check out the website and see if this is right for you.

Much has staid the same since the previous reviews... great weekly newsletter/ online store / bag process for 22 weeks in the summer... and a kind of wonky but refreshing winter subscription... summer starts in June and runs through october... winter picks right up but is only weekly to Turkey day and then changes to every other week. Shopping the online store is like having a farmer's market at your finger tips! Every week they also bring items to the stops for grab and go purchase... but if you really want milk and eggs... order online! They can sell out at the truck. This winter we tried the new Carnivore subscription... over the season smeveryone gets the same cow / pig / poultry and value add (lard, stock, deli meat, sausage, bones) but there is less flexibility... you need to go to the same stop each week. No dietary substitutions... everyone gets pork for example. The only downside to the omnivore winter subscription is the cabbage... lots and lots of cabbage... sauerkraut... more basketball size cabbages... so the carnivore is a nice change while still having access to the store and avoiding out of state protein. They post the newsletters and photos of the weekly bags online and have an epic treasure troce of recipes!

That being said coming from a very similar field of work they were immediately interested in recruiting me for a position with them so much so that because I impressed the HR clerk he notified both the supervisor and director of operations to have a meeting with me.. now this is where it gets interesting.... so I explained to them the vast knowledge I had of the field and that I've been working for the same company for 12 years and that I was seen what was out there but unless it was really worth my wild there was no real so leave ( as I had tenure, lots of pto time and vacation time) but they were so impressed with me that they convinced me to leave my job ( that I had no reason to leave) and come work for them. So we set a date that I would start work and that's were it gets interesting... So needless to say I was excited for a new opportunity as it seemed promising ,so I put in my 2 weeks at my job and let me tell you I was so excited I could barely wait for my new adventure... so this is where it interesting I get a message 4 days before my start date from the HR manager stating that he wanted to talk about pushing back my start date and to get back to him asap... so I was slightly alarmed but not completely jumping to any conclusions... so the next day I got ahold of HR and was told an employee that was out had recently came back and they didn't have enough work for me and said they were going to push my start date to 2 weeks after my original date... so I was suspicious so I got in touch with the supervisor and director of operations I originally spoke with and they explained to me that I was essentially mislead by HR and that they didn't have enough work for me and that more or less " sorry you're out of a job" ... so ask you could imagine I was pissed because I left a job of 12 years that was completely stable to essentially become unemployed because of the unprofessional ways that premier ProduceOne does business so...... SO IF YOU HAVE ANY PLANS OF WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY YOU SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE BECAUSE I WAS PROMISED A GREAT JOB WITH ROOM FOR GROWTH ONLY TO BE LET GO WITH NO REMORSE AND NO CARE FOR MY LIVELIHOOD THEY RUINED.

Found my new produce stand at the WSM--done and done…read more I'm a CSA gal, Fresh Fork to be exact, but sometimes you just need some extra ingredients and that's where Rooted In Cleveland comes in. Here there is no question where your produce is coming from--most likely it's from across the street at Ohio City Farm! Yep: the farm that helps refugees find work and teaches them to farm to make money (Refugee Responce)... the farm space that helps people in need find fresh produce while also supplying local restaurants in Ohio City with tons of homegrown goodies. That farm! The stand has pretty much all seasonal items, but when I stopped by last week they had everything I was looking for. Herbs, root veggies, tomatoes, greens--yum! I'm not sure what the stand will look like in the winter months, but I'm sure they'll have something out there that's delicious. Their FB page says it best, "We're a seasonally and sustainably-oriented produce stand at the West Side Market providing local and organically-minded specialty produce." Prices were way cheaper than Dave's Supermarket and pretty on point with the rest of the stands. But what really stands out? No yelling or selling! That's right--no one at the stand will try to sell you or trick you into buying overly ripened produce they don't let you see first before they throw in a bag. In general, just picture this: You're fighting your way through the produce wing at WSM on a Saturday afternoon, then you turn the corner to suddenly find a peaceful place where you can take a breath of fresh air and buy bad ass local produce. Yes, that was a bit of a run-on, but you get the point. Hint: It's near the Ohio City Blooms stand.
