    ALDI Supermarket. La Habra, CA.
    Birdie M.

After a not-so-stellar first-time experience with Aldi (different location in OC), I was still curious about this grocery store chain (that just happens to be one of the European siblings of Trader Joe's) & it's almost cult-like following. While driving through the area, I just happened to see the La Habra location on Imperial Highway & thought, "What the heck?! I'll give Aldi another shot!" So...here we go!!! Upon entry, the interior of the La Habra store was bright, clean, & appeared to be organized as a small-format grocery store. Imagine: convenience store-meets-Tesco-meets-(now defunct) Fresh & Easy-meets-Trader Joe's vibe. The produce section was clean, & (although many items were pre-wrapped in cellophane), the produce items looked fresh & were reasonably priced. The bread section smelled so heavenly that I had to pry myself away before buying ALL of their loaves, & especially their chocolate chip brioche. The dairy, meat, prepared foods, etc., sections were neatly organized, as well. Although many of the products offered at Aldi are brands I've never heard of before (with a small sprinkling of national brands scattered throughout the store), Aldi does offer a nice selection of unique beverages, cheeses, snacks, & lots of other cool items you may not find anywhere else. Pro Tip: The carts are only available with a (refundable) 25 cents deposit, & Aldi does not offer shopping bags. If you plan on purchasing anything more than a couple of small items, be prepared to bring your own bag(s). It was a bit strange to me, but no big deal. Although admittedly Aldi is not a grocery store I would go out of my way to do my regular shopping at (I'm more of a Whole Foods, Gelson's, Bristol Farms kinda girl), Aldi is a fun place to browse for unique items, & the La Habra location is nice. Finally..... Are you: * Interested in the biggest, sweetest, juiciest strawberries EVER for only $1.79? * In-need of a Funnel Cake Kit including the pitcher that you never actually knew you really needed? * Wanting a decadent treat like rose-shaped strawberries & cream ice cream in a cocoa- flavoured waffle cone? * Craving the old-school "McDonald Land Cookies" of your childhood? If you answered "Yes! Yes! Yes! ...&....YAAAASSSSSSS!!!" to the above questions, definitely check out Aldi in La Habra!

See bottom rancid beef next to a fresh piece!! Disgusting

Several trips later (to buy chips and bread only) nothing has changed, I spoke to corporate twice and they have not changed their bad practices. Multiple times they leave rancid meat out with the fresher meat, hams that are turning colors are not removed, staff gets miffed when I point this out to them. Aldi meat section, is a lawsuit waiting to happen

Generic brands affordable but other recognizable brands over priced. Not much of a selection for German goods.

They have a large parking lot, but it's also pretty bus at times. This is a big grocery store with a wide variety of Asian foods. I got some shrimp chips which I like and cannot find at other stores. The seafood section was PERFECT! They had such a wide variety of seafood from fresh in fish tanks, to frozen in the open freezers. I would definitely highly recommend visiting for fresh seafood and Asian foods. The place is pretty crowded and we did look out of place, but I didn't care. People were friendly and even if they had limited English they would try to communicate with us and help us. It is a pretty crowded space so be aware of that. They form one long queue for the checkout and go sorting through the lanes. Overall I have a new go to place for seafood.

Called them to ask if they could exchange the broken bottle and the lady that answered basically told me theres nothing she could do unless I have proof that it broke there. I always buy boxed soju and never had this happen so I never thought to check inside the box. Mishandled there cuz I drove straight home after buying. She also added that I should have caught it and not bought it. I would never in a million year do a review for the market but I am definitely not returning back to this location. Check everything before you leave the store is a lesson I learned. Looking at the bottom of the box I guess there is a little stain mark lol I should have caught that before buying according to the worker there.

Basically they will fry any fish behind the glass counter, so nothing prepacked. The flavor choices are lemon pepper and Cajun, and possibly one more. When you select your fish, the butcher will ask you to wait around 10 minutes, so you can continue shopping. The finished product is so perfect and such an awesome deal when you think about it. I ordered 2 huge pieces of tilapia and 3 pieces of swai for around $15 (varying based on the market price). One piece of fish cooked this good would cost at least $20 to $30 on a plate with sides at a restaurant. Anyway, I was so satisfied and I plan to do this once or twice a month. Also, love the cleanliness and customer service at this Ralph's overall. That's why I come back.

600pm, Saturday, November 08, 2025…read more I stopped by Ralph's before picking up my order at the Shack across the shopping center. I was searching for the Boar's Head salads in the deli. Their display doesn't hold very many I suppose as they're weren't any available. I was able to pickup some other house deli salads that were marked down. I got a small broccoli salad with bacon as I've never had it before. A very tasty side salad. I picked up a medium sized edamame caviar salad. I'm sure there's no actual caviar in there. It's a edamame salad that includes garbanzos, moong bean, pearled barley, rice, navy bean, couscous, wheat berry, diced red & green onion, red pepper, sea salt, and EVOO. I'm not sure all incredients were in there. No barley, rice, couscous, nor wheat berry! WTH??? I also picked up the SW Style Taco Salad with Chicken... Hmm, not a very tasty salad and will choose others that are better in taste and flavor. Even at a reduced mark down, not a salad I'd enjoy. The Turkey BLT Salad was slightly better but I picked out the cucumbers that were already shopping signs of mold. I rate this variety better than the taco salad. The simplest broccoli salad was the best of the four I selected. The bean salad has a misleading label on it. Only edamame and garbanzo in there.
