Aldi finally carries almond flour, not that I'm doing the paleo diet anymore but still, I'm always glad when Aldi adds new items because sometimes I shop here and wonder, "Why don't they carry _____?" OK, like why don't they carry CHARCOAL? They have meat to grill but no charcoal to cook it with. One time I saw them selling a little bbq grill set-- but still, no charcoal. Kinda funny. The employees at this location have been very courteous and helpful. I've never seen anyone with a bad attitude. The prices here are good enough that I don't need to shop anywhere else for groceries. I usually spend about $60-100 a week for my family of four, depending on how much La Croix I feel like drinking. And we eat dinner at home 6-7 days a week, so I think this place is great for families on a tight budget. If you've never tried Aldi, Autumn/Winter is a great time to check it out. They always have special seasonal items but this time of year offers a lot more interesting things like holiday chocolates, spices, and non-food items for gift giving. read more

I normally do not shop at Aldi, but I really wanted the curled wood wreath and solar lanterns for my patio, so I popped in on a Friday early afternoon. The cashier was very nice and patient, she even explained how to get my quarter back from the cart because I told her last time at another location I couldn't figure it out. I can't comment much on other items but I do like the household items they have, items are also priced pretty well. read more

I wish they had a larger section of Organic foods and more healthier options also, I felt like there is no organization in this store. I had to search the store to find what I need there are no helpful signs and everything is randomly mixed together. I came here to get food for a party I was throwing yes prices are low but I wouldn't come here to grocery shop for my household. Until they have a larger organic food selection and some type of organization. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I really won't shop here though. First off, who carrys change anymore? Walking up trying grab a cart was the first turn off. I don't carry cash, or coin. I guess that means I'm not expected to buy more than a few items. Next. Veggies? Where are the selection of fresh veggies? 1/2 of a isle reserved for fruits and veggies. I should add, a very limited selection of veggies. So we decided to try out Aldi since we have been seeing them pop up in the OC recently and so far we love it! The location of this one is perfect. There is enough parking and the location is new or at least looks to be. Remember to bring a quarter for the carts! And you get your quarter back when you bring back the cart which I enjoy. So far they have had everything we needed and the prices are amazing! We used to regularly shop at target and spend around $150 a week for groceries, we now come to Aldi and we are able to get the same amount of groceries for around $100!!! That in itself is a win. They only carry there own brand which again why it is so cheap. So far we haven't noticed any quality issues with meat, snacks, or any other purchases. Reminders: bring a quarter for the cart, you bag your own groceries, and they don't carry name brands. If you haven't tried aldi, check it out! We are glad we did! read more

What a great experience! Went for the first time today. Good prices. Extra wide aisles make it easy to navigate. Selection is really one of most items but that's how they keep prices down. There's enough premium items to have an enjoyable spiff but not so much that they turn into Whole Foods. I've heard about the quarter system and the self-bagging so was forewarned. I still don't get all of the hate on their whole cart system. It's a quarter and you get it back, people. Not that hard. This is one of the bigger Aldis I've been to. I normally frequent the one in Anaheim but this one is closer to work. There are a lot more items readily available here, which is nice. I feel like their alcohol selection is bigger. I really wish they would start selling the hard liquors. It would make my weekly shopping easier and more complete. The store is nice and clean and the people are friendly. Only complaint I've ever really have about the Aldis is when it gets busy they aren't the quickest to get more coverage to lessen the length of the lines. Aldi in La Habra has great prices and nice options on gluten-free products but terrible customer service. While we humans are required to wear masks for health reasons, dogs are allowed to roam the store throughout the grocery area. The manager allowed a dog owner to yell at me for taking a picture and then told me he would not serve me because I "harassed his customer". I literally only took a picture and said nothing to the dog owner; the dog owner was was yelling at me across the store and was served and treated well by the manager. I will not be back. I would rather pay more at Albertsons or Sprouts and not encounter animals and rude managers in the grocery store. read more

Loved this Aldi! It's new, big, clean, and great selection. I did not like Aldi at first but boy has it grown on me. It is incredibly affordable and cost effective especially if you buy a lot of groceries for your household. You can't get everything here, but between Aldi and Sam's club it's everything we need and have cut my grocery costs in half. Yes half. I got 64 cent dozen eggs. Chicken breast was 1.29 lb on a 4 day only special. Albertsons and staters are triple that price. Lots of healthy and organic options for cheap as well. Good variety too! Peanut butter alone had creamy, crunchy, natural, organic, and the powdered pb2 type. That's more selection than even needed but the selection is really good. It is amazing how much guts Aldi have to open a store across Walmart. But they did and seems like they are doing well. As with other Aldis, the interior is simple, clean and organized. Majority of their items are very affordable, even cheaper than Walmart. To save on overhead, they have only handful of people working. But, they are efficient and quick to get things done. They also do not offer different variety of brands. Most of their items have their own branding like Costco's Kirkland. But their items are of good quality. Only thing they need to work on is having two registers opened consistently when they get busy. read more

I love Aldi and prices are good but this new store has something weird going on with their carts! I have never had this problem at any other store ! As you go down the isles holding onto to the cart, you constantly get shocked!!! Could it be a reaction between the flooring with the metal cart??? So Aldi has a nice array of random things and food. Dessert section is good! Not gonna lie, I mostly pop in there for that. You'll need your own bags. Also, keep a quarter for the shopping cart, don't worry when you turn it in, you get it back. I only recently took the time to read it how it works, but I haven't tried it myself yet. Fyi: the german chocolate is amazing! And if you like hazelnut try the hazelnut cream filled chocolate, you won't regret it. I like Aldi overall, the pricing of the things I buy is average but I like that I find items I don't find in other stores. The only problem I've ever had is a recent trip where I purchased two packages of meat, one weighed 5.51lbs and the other 4.30lbs, I needed 10 lbs for the dinner I was going to make. When I got home and unpacked my groceries, I noticed that the heavier package of meat 'felt' about the same weight as the lighter package...I only noticed because it was not actually 1 lb heavier as it should have been. I weighed the package only to find out the label said it weighed about 1lb more than the actual weight. I have two kitchen scales and they said the same thing. The lighter package of meat was accurate if you account for a little bit of packaging weight. This was annoying and I know I could have taken it back, but considering I would pay more for gas than the $2 Aldi overcharged me, I let it go (not to mention my time lost had I done that). Hopefully, it was a one-off situation, an honest mistake, but I may play it safe and take a scale with me to check meat weight accuracy at this store...before I drive off. read more

I like this store. It's nice and clean. I am writing this review purely in my feelings. The clerk checking me out scanned my yogurt and pushed it on to the floor, where it burst open and splattered onto my pants.... She was kind enough to give me paper towel to wipe my pants off and continued to apologize but that doesn't help the fact that I have to walk around with dirty pants on. I chose not to show my anger or frustration because it was an accident but it pissed me off and she should have at least given me a free yogurt AND I just checked my receipt and it doesn't look like she removed the charge for the yogurt SHE dropped ‍‍‍. I've been to this Aldi many times during covid. I love Aldi because the produce is cheap and other products. Their store brand is super cheap! They have fruits, vegetables, prepared foods, snacks, and desserts! They have it all. I've bought some great pizzas here! I totally recommend the regular crust pizzas, as I didn't care for their thin crust pizzas. My favorites are the meat pizza and supreme pizza (meat and veggies). They have good cereals. I've also bought crossaints, cinnamon rolls, bread, buns, wine, snacks, etc. They have it all here! You won't be disappointed!!! read more

My first time at an Aldi was at the grand opening for this location, and I had a great experience noticing the good deals on most items. Bananas are 29 cents/lb and Almond milk is $1.99! I recommend the fresh salsa for $1.99, pretty tasty. Too bad they ran out of limes company wide, and when I was there they had no unsweetened vanilla almond milk which must have been coming in on the shipment for the day. The quality seems pretty good for everything I got so far. Great for college students or anyone trying to save money. I even got coupons for $5 off $30! Thanks Aldi! read more

This place is amazing, I love how much I can get for how little I have to spend. This morning I am extremely disappointed because I came to shop in my very minimal time after school and before work only to find out that you don't open until 9 AM. I wish I could give a 0 since I didn't even get to buy my merchandise. When I got in line the associates were occupied doing something else instead of ringing people up, ther was a woman standing there with a lot of items to purchase just waiting, someone behind her, me and 2 people behind me. They just kept looking up at as with nothing said and didn't call for backup. I had a very short amount of time and ended up having to put all my items down and walk out. Even that was frustrating because there were carts blocking every aisle and I had to find a way to just get out without going through the line I waited too long in. I will never go back. My wife has been here twice, but this was my first experience. I've shopped Aldi in Chicago, but never here at home in Orange County. I LOVE IT! The store was clean and well stocked. While they do no have a huge selection of items, what they do have is what I need. I'm disabled, and the electric cart made it possible for me to see the entire store. Maybe as their customer base grows, they need to add a second or third cart. Prices are very good. I had jotted down prices at Costco for comparison and Aldi is either equal or nearly equal, and I didn't have to buy a huge package to get it. I filled my cart and the final bill was $44.00. I purchased meat, canned veggies, lactos free milk, produce and several other items. Oh and surprise, they have some real German food, too. I purchased the frozen schnitzel just out of curiosity, and found it wonderful. It's made/produced in Germany. It will make it to my cart again in future trips. With this new store in La Habra, I'm changing my shopping habits. (It's a shame all those Wal-Martians shopping across the street don't know what they are missing. LOL.) read more

This Aldi is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. However, you have to bring a quarter or you won't be able to grab a shopping cart for your shopping trip. I didn't have a quarter so I had to grab stuff in my two hands which is quite inconvenient. Or, they should make a dollar change machine like coin-op car washes. I didn't find any dollar change dispenser in the store. There are not a lot of selection of products. Moreover, they only have one cashier with a long line. I knew Aldi from a small store in Berlin, Germany on my vacations and found the yummiest chocolate mouse, milch mäuse. When I heard they just opened this one, less than a mile from home, I had to check it out! I actually found really good deals. We bought all these items and payed $11.50, I couldn't believe it!! Wine! German bratwurst! Crackers! Tuna! Brie cheese! Soy sauce, EVERYTHING for less than 20 dollars. Quality was good, and it wasn't very busy on a Saturday night. read more

I decided to stop at the (La Habra) Aldi store yesterday to check it out. This was my first time at any Aldi & I am so glad that I stopped in! When I approached the shopping carts out front I was greeted by an employee who showed me how to get a shopping cart, which is different from any other store. You insert a quarter into the handle which releases the cart from the next cart and when you're finished you return the cart & get your quarter back. It was kind of odd but fun at the same time. The inside of the store was much bigger and nicer than I thought it would be. The store was very clean, I saw several employees stocking shelves and organizing shelves which is always nice. What I loved most was the prices, the prices were amazing! They do have a lot of different items, both name brand & off the wall brands, but a very good selection of every day types of things. They have a dairy department, frozen food, household items, fruit and vegetables, wine, beer, a pretty good selection of bakery items and a good selection of deli items. When you check out it's kind of like a Costco type of thing where your items are scanned and just put back into your cart, you bag them after checkout at a counter just beyond the registers. I thought the store was awesome, I will definitely be going back on a regular basis. The employees were all very nice and very friendly, definitely a place everyone should try out. This place has excellent customer service. Joseph went out of his way to help me when I had a question about something. Always in an out super faster cause there's never a crowd here like Costco. It's not not quite like your traditional Ralph's or Albertsons. They don't bag your items for you, it's a quarter to get a shopping cart and when you return the cart you get your quarter back. Thank God this store has materialized; I cannot stress how exceedingly pleasant and stress free this grocery shopping experience is in comparison to the other stores around here that seem to be stagnant in terms of layout, quality and simplicity. As an ex pat from the UK this is a welcome format. Clean, modern and just enough of everything you need with many surprises and items often absent from the shelves of competitors. What is also great is that Aldi favors continuity of great value pricing. Some of the items they offer (own brand) are superior to the "leading brand" yet cost you one fifth of the regular store price. Its enjoyable not to have to deal with items that are high one week and then unpredictably on a "two for one" the next day. This makes budgeting a grocery shop far easier. Unlike TJ's their meat section is excellent and economically favorable and everything sold in the store is of a high quality. I love shopping here and I hope it thrives. Its worth going here just for the premade take and bake pizza which comes in at around 6 bucks - enough to feed four. Also worth a mention are their excellent frozen Strudel (1.49 for two). This place deserves to survive; try it - you'll leave pleasantly surprised at what you paid for a cart full of high quality produce. read more
