Really disappointing experience at Albertsons. I came in to get food for my son's first birthday gathering and almost every part of the visit went wrong. The fried chicken counter employee was giving tiny pieces and refusing requested pieces like drumsticks. I was quoted around $25, but somehow my total ended up over $40. Then checkout took almost 45 minutes because the cashier kept walking away, accidentally double charged flowers, and repeatedly had to call someone over to fix things. It was chaotic and stressful with kids waiting. The worst part was getting home and realizing the fried chicken was extremely hard and overcooked to the point it was barely edible. I called the store and was told by a manager that there had been issues all day with employees not doing their jobs correctly and that I could come back for a refund. When I returned, another manager denied everything, acted rude and dismissive, and refused to help resolve the situation. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and customer service was honestly worse than the food itself. read more

I stopped on the way home for taco meat from the butcher because I only needed half a pound for a few tacos for myself. The butcher was nice and friendly and quickly packaged the meat. Just got back from the store and it's busier this evening as we're nearing Christmas Eve. I should have caught the cashiers name, but wow just wow! This man was so kind and generous. My 3 year old picked out a balloon that was considered display only. The cashier who was helping us was told it was not for sale. The cashier at the register in front of her heard what was happening as my daughter was disappointed she wasn't allowed to get the star. He told her to go pick out another one. He not only bought her a different Christmas balloon but also a penguin stuffy. It was beyond generous and just so very nice of him. I'm still in shock that someone did that for us. Feeling the love during the Christmas season and just cemented that this Albertson's has some pretty amazing workers. Left with a happy heart! The sushi is made in house, which I like. I decided to grab one of the Cucumber Rolls at Albertsons. Cucumber, Spicy Tuna, Imitation crab and avocado The Miso Dipping Sauce is super yummy! When dipping the cucumber roll in the sauce, some imitation crab does spill out. I would have like for the cucumber to be crunchier. Maybe if eaten after it was made Cucumbers are made up of about 96% water But, it's a great low carb meal! read more

While grabbing a shopping cart I witnessed a store manager or supervisor yelling at one of her employees for not wearing a vest when taking out a curbside pickup. The entire time as I was shopping through the store I felt second hand embarrassment for the poor guy that got chewed out. I ended up catching the supervisors name which happens to be Laura. Laura if you're reading this I think there was definitely a nicer way to approach the situation at hand and not embarrass one of your employees in front of several people. You lack professionalism and people like you make me question who they hire to be "supervisors" or "managers". I tend to love Albertsons, just not this location. I went on Tuesday to pickup a small cake for my grandsons 3rd birthday. I walk up and look at my options and make my decision and just stand there for awhile waiting to be helped and nothing. There were 2 people working there that just acted like I wasn't there. So finally I asked with a bit of attitude if I could get some help. She came and I asked the flavor of the cakes and made my final choice. Get the cake home and let me say it's awful. I could have made a better cake. The vanilla cake has no flavor and the frosting taste like the kind you get off the shelf by Betty Crocker. I was so disappointed. For those of you reading my review you can get a delicious cake from either Stater Bros or Walmart. I won't buy another cake from this store. read more

This has always been a pretty nice/well kept store. In the past, I was never particularly blown away by the staff, but it was always good enough. Today, the day before Christmas Eve, it was super busy (I was there around 12:30pm) and to my surprise, the staff was on point today which really made my day!! I went to the Meat Department looking for a small, bone in ribeye roast. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who works there,(she's younger with black hair). She helped me today and is very sweet & personable (as always! We've interacted a few times before today). She let me know there weren't any small ribeyes available. I was feeling a bit disappointed, not wanting to go to another store. As I am walking around the store wrapping up my shopping & dreading the next store, the same gal from the Meat Department finds me & said she was looking for me because she found one small roast for me! Hallelujah, she saved the day!! It was absolutely perfect & what I was looking for. I was able to get everything on my list & it really made my day! She really went above and beyond for me which I was so amazed by. She's a gem! I wanted to find a manager just to tell them she's awesome & to make sure you keep her because she really gives great customer service! Also, the young (dark haired) gentleman who was getting the carts in the parking lot was so nice. He made small talk with my daughter & I and after I was done loading my car he came over and happily grabbed the cart for me which was very sweet! I am happy to return my cart myself, but when I shop with my young children this is a service I am beyond grateful for! It's a small act of kindness that makes the shopping experience that much better! The gentleman that was working in the produce was very sweet as well. I was looking for asparagus & he asked how he could help. He gave me the bad news that the shipment hadn't come, but he was very nice! 10/10 for service today! My family and I love shopping at this grocery store and have been coming here for 16 years. Our favorite employees are Beth Ann, Angie and Erin. Those ladies are always so friendly and welcome whenever we shop here. Beth Ann always goes above and beyond for her customers and carries on conversations with them as if they were life long friends. On a side note, please be courteous and wear a mask when you go shopping. Albertsons has decided that they will not provide service after 7:30 PM. They close all the regular checkstands and force customers to self-checkout. I don't know how alcohol purchases are handled. They cut the hours of cashiers because they don't want to pay benefits, so no one is full-time, but prices are through the roof, and they made a killing during the pandemic. We all need to boycott them and every other business with this greedy business model, but we wouldn't have anywhere to shop. read more

I think it's really interesting that when you order a cake online at an advertised price at the location, and even before picking up your order you confirm your total & it is still that same online price (just to double check) and when you get to the store you look at the tag and it's $10 more... then they say "the online price is wrong it's more money" then how come when I called to confirm, they didn't say anything about it? Hmmm... not sure if they are trying to get one over on some customers or if people are quietly tipping themselves but you definitely don't do that to a customer especially when they're spending nearly $50 on a cake... some are on a budget I didn't make much of a fuss other than reiterating the fact I was surprised and if a store advertises a price on something they should honor that... glad the guy was understanding and accommodated.. but anyway, will probably stick to staters next time. I usually shop here but after the remodel at the Brea, CA location the signs are difficult to read by the way they are hanging. To take advantage of the discounts you have to log on to the app, find the item and add to your account. No thank you. It is not clear when shopping which items you need to add to the app and which you don't. We now go to Stater Brothers, signs are easy to read and no app needed to get the discount. read more

We began making this our go-to grocery store during the pandemic. They were super attentive to their customers, posting a person outside the store to clean the carts . Other places did not do this. Another thing we like is that the cashiers are always very nice and friendly. For the most part, all staff are friendly. We like to buy freshly sliced deli turkey and have had mixed experiences in the deli section. One time the person helping us was not particularly friendly. Another time we were seemingly ignored for awhile. This past weekend I ordered a half pound but was given a pound. Minor inconveniences, to be sure, but the reason for 4 vs 5 stars. On the flip side, this past visit we were assisted by a very nice gentleman in the meat department, and purchased some excellent rib-eye steaks on sale at a very reasonable price. If you join their free club and enter your phone number each time you pay, you will gain rewards that can go towards future purchases and coupons and save you money. We will continue to frequent this Albertsons and recommend it to anyone looking for excellent quality and friendly service. read more

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. They are doing a great job keeping things in stock and provide info on next shipment during this Covid-19 pandemic. Seniors get priority shopping hours at this time, which is great. So I went today around 2 and I went to cash a scratcher , the lady that was the register was attending the man before me as he cutting some checks I try ask her something she walked from me she should have I'll be right with you but she didn't then the guy before me said with a attitude I am before you and mind you I was just trying to ask a question for my scratcher and the guy before was rude and to my surprised he is a manager at that store he went on his day off and he was so rude. Please don't hire people who are gonna be rude and represent your company even if it's your day off and you work at that store and people know that you are a manager at least be on your best behavior when it's your day off if you don't want that problem go to a different Albertsons and be rude. One thing is certain in this world. Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut. Checked out with Matthew today waiting in line and he's not really customer service oriented. His interaction with his customers is shallow or maybe he just doesn't like certain types how they look. He seemed outgoing with two women one being a teenager and mom the next he wasn't even saying hello or any type of customer service. Instead he was more concerned about the checker that was in the self checkout regarding her interaction with a customer that I guess wanted a discount. He's words was how much discount did you give her, other check said $10. He replied, " you're more of a push over than me, I wouldn't have let that slide'". Then he went on to say $19 dollars! That's a $30 cake. And then it was my turn for check out. No greeting, didn't even ask if I wanted bags. I had to tell him as he threw my items across to the bagging area that I wanted bags. His attitude was melancholy and he then asked me if I wanted bags to clarify what I just asked. Then he tossed my other items across the bag area. I not sure why he seemed not customer service oriented or cordial to Albertsons guest but I k ow being in customer service myself he had a personal problem and didn't k ow how to separate work from that. Been shopping here for over 20 years and this is the first time I felt not welcome. He more concerned about other stuff than what is important at the moment. He seems a little condescending too. Maybe he should take a refresher in customer service. I'd do better. Seems like nowadays these stores don't give a crap about the patrons that spend money in an overpriced market. Been to this Albertsons location a few times, and I have to say, this is one of the larger Albertsons locations I have ever been to. A majority of the time, I am visiting this location in the early afternoon so all the aisles are always clean and fully stocked. The fried chicken bar they have in the hot food section was also very enticing that I bought a pound of the sauce flavored fried chicken. Delicious! There is a walk-in alcohol fridge which I really like because they have an extensive selection of cold beer. Always drink responsibly! I have never had any issues with the customer service here and the checkout lines are always quick! Parking is also aplenty. This shopping center runs a few blocks adjacent of The Home Depot, Ross, and etc. across the street. read more

This is our main grocery store, simply due to proximity. For the most part, it's very clean and organized, and it is a larger Albertsons as well. The variety of food and other supplies/inventory is very plentiful, although I will say there are times when I can't find what I'm looking for. Additionally, the meat selection isn't the best when looking for higher quality options, especially when it comes to beef. The staff, for the most part have been very nice and helpful, although there was one encounter with an older bald man working the check stand that was a little odd - but we won't get into that here, as it was an isolated incident and not particularly uncomfortable, just strange. All in all, a great grocery store for your basic necessities, but don't expect to find anything special or too wide a variety when it comes to the ethnic foods section. read more

I was visiting the store recently getting my flu shots, I couldn't understand that a store in the midst of a major remodel can't replace the HVAC air filters, I noticed the Pharmacy's air registers were really nasty . . . in a "Medical" facility per se. Looks really bad that a place that dispenses medicine that allows people to get better, looks so bad, I don't understand that . . . I hope that can be remedied soon just like I hope the stores remodel will be finished soon! read more
