Unique grocery store with lots of unique items. Mostly lower prices and no frills with specialty limited items on many off brands and European options as well. They do carry some popular brands on some items. Fresh produce always. Everything from wine, paper goods, meats, dairy, gifts, baking, frozen foods, chocolates and so much more. You never know what special items will be brought in. Very clean store and super organized aisles!! Make sure to bring your own bags, or they charge and you will need a quarter to take a cart, which you will get back upon its return. I love Aldi! Great selection of food. Don't be fooled that nothings name brand, it's Aldi and tastes the same as any big name. I love Aldi so much, it's a great spot for affordable food. Unsure why this newer location doesn't have self check out. You have to wait in line and everytime I've gone they have one check out open. The guy who's usually there is cranky and won't say more than the total to you, which is fine cause I'm not there to become besties. They should have more than one check out open however, you always feel so rushed by the cashiers because there's always a line of several people. This store is not for me. If you don't carry a quarter there is no shopping cart for you. Who carries pocket change anymore? It is located next to a Fry's Super Store. They must have idiots picking store locations. I don't get it. Heard all the hype about Aldi. Thought I would give it a try. I needed aluminum foil. Store was clean. Not impressed with the selection. I have shopped and supported Aldi's since they opened in Peoria/Glendale area. I am complaining about their Clancy's potato chips because every time I buy them, there is hair in the bag. I throw the bag out and in another few months, I buy them again, expecting a bag with no hair! Today, I brought back to the store, 8 bags, some empty, some full. There is NO phone number to call for customer service of for their corporate office. This is higher then the store level..this is about how clean their facilities are, and the Board of Health allowing them to let employees work without head coverings. This is about serving guests sickening chips with hair mixed in! The manager was of no help, but he did refund the cost, BIG DEAL! With groceries getting insanely expensive, it's nice to have an affordable option! Was just looking for some things to have for lunch and just out of curiosity and they have some cool items here! Lots of different snacks. I ended up getting stuffed mushrooms from the prepared meals section that just needed to be put in the oven, and they were super delicious. Also got some fresh berries, protein tortillas that I hadn't seen before, and a giant take and bake pizza and cheesy bread that were only like $5 each. Line to check out was a bit long and there was only one cashier working. But she was pretty good at getting through everyone quickly. I've been an Aldi shopper since the 90s in Chicago. They've always had great food selections for affordable prices. I'd have to say that there are some items that taste better than the big name brands. You definitely can feed a large family for a fraction of what you'd spend at other grocery stores. This is where I do most of my grocery shopping now. I love the spacious layout of the store, the availability of most of the things I need for preparing meals and noshes for myself and my housemates, and most of all the very low prices for quality produce, meats, dairy products, baked goods, and other groceries. The specials aisle is always fun to browse, with constantly changing items which make for great (and inexpensive) gifts. And of course there is that wonderful cart lock system were you unlock a shopping cart with a quarter, which is then refunded when you return the cart to its corral; which means no shopping carts left behind in the parking spaces by inconsiderate people- a pet peeve of mine. read more

There are no bags for your groceries...clerk told me I had to go find an empty box around the store somewhere...pretty weird...even though I only had a few random things so I didn't waste my time completely..some chips and salsa or something...a bag would have been nice. I like the many options they have for groceries. The shelves were a bit bare when I visited. Hopefully, that was just temporary. My favorite items from this store were cheap frozen vegs, shrimps, and awesome blue/green chicken eggs with golden yolks! I will continue to come back. Hope they will add more to their selections. went shopping with my roommate , we didn't bring any bags because Aldi offer paper and plastic resuable bags . when i requested paper bags i was ignored , cashier was so rude to me for absolutely no reason at all . i was extremely friendly and polite because i thought she may have been having a rough day but even then there is no reason for her to have taken it out on me . the entire experience was terrible and i hope all employees there have the day they deserve! read more

This store was pretty cool at first. The selection does change often, but they always have the basics in stock (milk, eggs, bread, etc). It's cheaper than Fry's and the food is good. Now, the BAD part. The reason for one star is because of the infestation of ants and the lack of response from the clerks. I went to the bread aisle and was horrified to see that anything unsealed was crawling with ants. Bread bags sealed with only a twist tie OR pastries in the plastic pop up containers have ants in them. It's not just one or two, it's nearly everything along the bread wall. I alerted one of the clerks and was met with, "Oh yeah we know about it, it's been like that. Yesterday they were in the muffins." Ummm, ok? And you are still open and knowingly selling bug infested food to people? That food should have been cleared out and the store shut down until they contain the issue. Mind you, the store just opened for the day and it's already that nasty. So that tells me that management was ok with just opening up for business instead of addressing the ant colony in the produce section. This is a BEAUTIFUL store!! Everything in it is fresh, has a large variety and good prices. The only thing that was disappointing was the amount of looks my husband and I got because we didn't fit the "look" of the store. My husband and I are both heavily tattooed and have colored hair. There was a lot of older people and people obviously in a different class giving us stare downs. The cashier we had wasn't as nice to us as the others either. I was pleasantly surprised by Aldie. Cause I've heard very mixed reviews about it. Vegetables and fruit were very well priced as were the cheeses. The store was pretty clean. You do have to remember to bring your own bags. Otherwise you will have to buy them there ., all in all it was pretty nice for discount. Grocery store. It has come to my attention that other Aldises in the Valley aren't as bad as this one - I visited 3 of them on the same day to compare after a friend said "My Aldi is never the way you describe." Other Aldis (Peoria, Avondale, Buckeye) are far better stocked and with a larger variety of goods than this one. Why is that? This Aldi reminds me of the Aldis I knew from the 1990s and early 2000s in the Midwest, when most people considered Aldi a ghetto grocery. Aldi, please don't be ghetto at this location or anywhere else. Don't provide evidence to people who talk about neighborhood discrimination and food deserts. Most of the people here are fine, they don't make conversation but they don't take out hating their job on the customer. I often walk to ALDIs with a stroller (my baby in it) because I live so close by and I bring my reusable ALDIs bag. Today I went as I usually do 2/13 at 9:45 am. There was no one in line and the cashier was doing side work. By the time I finished putting everything on the counter she arrived and started scanning. I politely asked if she could just put everything on the higher part of the cart so I can easily bag it. She said no, that she has a line and they DO NOT BAG. (I know, it's not part of their job but). I said most people do, you can just throw it in. Especially because I had less than 10 things. So she started putting the things on the bottom I bagged them and moved my bag down there. So because I had my bag there she started putting the groceries on the top. How I originally asked. So I bag those and put my bag on top. She put the last item on her counter and was ready for me to pay. I usually pay while they scan my groceries so the two customers behind me had to wait a little longer while I searched for my card. This made me feel anxious and that the cashier was taking out her anger on customers. She was rude and I would hate to be helped out by her again. I hope eventually she learns common courtesy instead of being spiteful. read more

This location on Bell Road is close to Frye's. I'm used to the ALDIs back on the East coast and this one is Nothing like it in comparison. Back East, the variety is abundant and there is a good mix of ethnic foods to shop. It seems all the exclusive Aldi brands are gone or perhaps not a part of this location. That is what made it special. The shelves and produce are always stocked. Not here. Produce is good but usually picked over. I literally did weekly food shops at Aldi's in Pittsburgh but this location with be left for runs to fill in produce only. I was so excited to have a store so close. Disappointed for certain. The N Phoenix Aldi has been open for several months and I must say my feelings about this store are mixed. It's small and I've found it clean even though some reviews have said otherwise. It's difficult to judge any grocery store in the middle of the supply chain issues that all are currently experiencing. Unaware that it was opening day, I found the store relatively well stocked on my first visit. The variety has lessened on subsequent trips but on each, I have found something unique I just had to bring home. Sometimes it is an interesting and inexpensive cheese or maybe a bar of European chocolate that falls into my cart. I think of Aldi as an "accessory" store. I certainly could not do all my weekly shopping there. However, its proximity to other full-service grocery stores makes it a good place for a quick look and a few bargains. The staff seems unaccommodating and robotic. I understand that the cashiers are under pressure to be fast so don't expect a smile or greeting. Bagging your own groceries and being forced to return carts is annoying but as a former Californian, this is the wave of the future. I guess in the end, Aldi's is a poor imitation of Trader Joes. read more

I previously drove to the west side to visit an aldi, and this location opening was very exciting for me. It's an Aldi, and the prices are great. The selection for some products is somewhat limited, but for the things you need grocery wise, i am never disappointed. The only issue I have with them is that so many times an item is listed on the website as available when it is not. Today that happened at least five times. It was not the fault of the shopper.
