This is my favorite place for mushrooms. Lots of selection at great prices. The ambiance is pretty relaxed through out the week in the store. The rest of the shopping center has no chill. I didn't want to stop anywhere after baskets of these babies were keeping me company the whole drive home, even though I still needed veggies. Cashier basically told us the price scanned is what it is and don't look at the tag saying we saw the wrong items tagged and barcode. She basically told us she can't do anything since that's what it scans as. I'm pretty sure I checked the tag so we went back grabbed the tag and brought it up. The barcodes matched so we escalated to someone more knowledgeable since the cashier didn't want to do anything. After 5-10 mins someone finally came up and said that's the price on the tag and they had to honor it. Took a lot of effort and basically the blamed corporate/headquarters for changing the prices and them not updating their tags. Not sure how that makes sense, but that's their reasoning. Are they closing down someday or just trying to survive? There used to be a retail shopping center down the plaza, but it's currently under major renovations right now, so not many places to walk around. I liked the grocery items and prices inside because they're actually much cheaper here than elsewhere. You can find familiar brands of your favorite Chinese snacks and beverages. Fruits/vegetables/meats look decent for the selling price. Vibes inside felt more like mainland China with some Taiwanese folks working nearby. Expect old fashioned style employees in this spacious grocery store that doesn't have many grocery shoppers in it. Employees look hardworking, but it's pretty dead for business operations. You can still find takeout foods and the tiny barbershop/hair salon is still operating. Don't expect lots of tables and chairs at restaurants inside. Better foods are outside. It just felt like this place is struggling to survive or may go out of business eventually. I hope the shopping center nearby opens soon to attract more customers to the plaza. They have old style deli foods and BBQ plates. It needs more life around here. When I hear HK2 Food District, I was expecting much better foods/dining options inside, but it wasn't like that at all. This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.

I used to come here as a kid and it's nice to see it still going strong. They carry a ton of staple Japanese items, whether you're looking for natto, snacks, or Japanese drinks. The market forums from 8am to 1pm. Decent selection of vendors and all are friendly and welcoming. There's a mix of fruit & vegetables vendors, fresh seafood, bakery items, dips, roasted peanuts, tamales, artisans & crafts, etc. Personal we've bought some of the various artisan/craft items during Christmas and regularly get some fresh fruit and vegetables. Also enjoy getting the various dips and tamales. If you're local to the area, it's worth a visit on your Saturday mornings/afternoons. It securely has a community feel.
