Great portion sizes!!!! Worth the money! The flavor of the food was really good. Quick to be seated. They have a salsa bar so you get to chose your own salsa too! Its a quaint little place and the people who work there are very friendly. I would definitely go back.

A beautiful, colorful artwork on the wall next to tables and chairs, with the bar down back.

This small but cozy Mexican restaurant located in downtown Roanoke is where people of all ages gravitate when they're in the mood for Mexican food. It has a cozy indoor seating area as well as a small refreshing outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. Posted near the entrance is an extensive menu with almost all Mexican food items one can think of as well as nice variety of special drinks. What distinguishes this Mexican restaurant from the others is that they not only offer complimentary chips with salsa, but they also have a "Salsa Bar," with different kinds of salsas for you to enjoy with your chips. When I arrived at the restaurant I received a warm greeting from one of the hosts/servers, who was happy to know that I spoke Spanish and could easily communicate with me in his native language. While I studied the extensive menu, he brought me the glass of iced water that I had ordered to drink and a basket of fresh tortilla chips. I went over to the Salsa Bar and filled two little plastic bowls wirh salsas: one with mild Salsa and one with corn Salsa, and brought them back with me to my table. My server gave me enough time to enjoy my chips with the salsas before he approached to take my order. As my main entrée I ordered the Chimichangas with soft tortillas and filled with Shredded Beef. They also came topped with cheese dip and served with red rice, refried beans, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. While I waited I enjoyed my chips with salsas and went up to the Salsa Bar for some more. I also looked around and admired the simple decorated but clean place that created a comfortable ambiance where to enjoy some good food. As I waited the restaurant got fuller and fuller. Some customers seemed to be steady customers while others seem to be there for the first time, all having a love for Mexican food in common. Even though this restaurant did not have a parking lot of its own. There were many of on street parking and parking garages near by. My food arrived and it tasted delicious. It was nice and hot and the Shredded Beef was soft and moist just like it should be. Time for dessert came and I ordered a Xango, which was a rich smoosmooth cheesecake, rolled in a melt-in-your-mouth, flaky pastry tortilla. Drizzled with chocolate and topped with Whipped Cream. It arrived and tasted very good. The other three dessert menu items also seemed very appetizing for the next time I come eat here. They were: Flan, Fried Ice-cream Cream, and Churros or Apple Churros. If you live or work in downtown Roanoke. This is the place to go for Mexican food. It is located in a key area of downtown restaurants, has a relaxing atmosphere, good food, and servers who provide very friendly customer service. I also recommend it to all you tourists visiting the area and looking for some tasty hunger quenching food to eat and enjoy.

In town for our anniversary and decided to check this place out. Atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was friendly! The food was very good, even better than I expected. The walk back to the car was very sketchy and we had to pay to park. Food is worth returning for though.

We came on a Friday night around 6pm and were quickly seated upon arrival. They bring you chips and they have a salsa bar where you can pick your own salsas. The salsas are just mediocre. Our food was brought out pretty quick. I ordered the twin burritos which included one shredded chicken and one beef. The beef was pretty good but after two bites of the chicken, I couldn't eat anymore. The chicken had a terrible taste, you could tell it was not the best quality chicken. Service was good but won't be returning

I was a little disappointed the chicken fajitas looked great but the chicken was very dried out, i payed extra for sour cream which I didn't get ,and the rice was cold, this was a takeout order and I was only going a mile and a half down the road, the fajitas where tasty and warm but way over cooked, the restaurant is decorated very cute

We stopped by here for a quick lunch, our last on this road trip. We went quite late for the lunch, so we were the only ones out there for some time. They had salsa station with variety of it and we loved it. My shrimp tacos were THE BEST! Perfectly marinated and seasoned. Chicken burrito was delicious too - I'd say quite heavy though. While the food overall was quite reasonably priced, my husband had some tequila shots which were way expensive - $15 each!

I arrived for an early dinner on a Wednesday late afternoon / early evening. Very impressed with the quality building structure renovation and with the elegant open space interior design, I asked the Host / Server for a table and I was seated and given a copy of the menu. To drink I ordered the Housemade Lemonade. As I waited and examined the menu, I observed the beautiful open space renovation with nice and comfortable furniture and outstanding works of art decorating the restaurant. The server arrived with my drink and a welcoming smile and took my order. For apappetizer I ordered the Chips and Choriqueso. And for my main entry I ordered two Flank Steak and one Pork Carnitas tacos. Two of them Traditional style and one Gringo style. And for dessert the Churrosticks. The iced lemonade was one of the best lemonades I've ever had. Very lemony and the right sweetness. The quality of the Chips and Choriqueso was superb and the tacos were simply delicious. The service was superb. My server came by at the appropriate times to check on me and provide refills for my lemonade. I can't imagine how good the Margaritas must be at this restaurant / bar. I highly recommend this contemporary restaurant / bar for a place to go alone, to relax, or with family and friends to enjoy some quality time together in a clean and tastefully decorated Mexican restaurant located in a chick location.

At first it seems like a hole in the wall, where you approach and they take your order and payment. Then you go take a seat either in one of the many tables of the Market Building, that are arranged similar to the Food Courts in the Malls, or in one located in a small outside patio (mostly used during the late Spring and Summer, or when the weather is warm). But don't be fool, this restaurant is more than a hole in the wall or part of a Mall's Food Court. Even though the kitchen and ordering counter is located in a very small space. There is nothing small in the quality of the food nor in the very flavorful cuisine. And their customer service is definitely top notch. They have copies of blown up menus next to a window facing the inside of the Market Building so customers can study the menu well before approaching the ordering counter to make the order. They also have the same thing in the outside seating area patio, which is under a roof. And right above the ordering counter, more blown up menus, as well as regular size menus laying on the counter. But besides all this, they have very engaging employees who are very helpful making recommendations on what to order if you are still undecided by the time you reach the ordering counter. And this is precisely what one of them did with me and I ended up with one of the most amazingly delicious Mexican food that I've ever had in any size restaurant. To drink they have a display case refrigerator with many non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, and a small bar counter where Margaritas are made. To drink I got a Jarritos Mango natural flavor soda. And to eat, I took the recommendation of one of the employees taking my order and ordered the Chessy Tacos Birria, which were made with seasoned shredded pork, and came accompanied by a bowl of consomme to dip my tacos in while eating them, and by little bowls of red and green salsa to put on the tacos if I wanted them more spicy. For dessert I ordered a Flan. Since it is Winter, I had my dinner inside the Market Building, where my server brought it to my table, and followed up at the appropriate times to see if I needed anything and who brought me a napkin holder full of napkins without me even having to ask for it. My server did a nice job providing excellent customer service and establishing a wonderful customer relationship to indirectly invite me to come again to try other items of the menu in the near future. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to all those reading my review, when you feel like having some good Mexican food in a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, either indoors or outdoors of a Historic Roanoke City Market Building.

Its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and excellent customer service, have won me over, and make me keep coming back. After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to return to those special ones, that have made a difference in my life and highlight them, for the benefit of the public, so they too can have an opportunity to appreciate the qualities of a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience. And Pancho Mexican Restaurant in Towers Shopping Center, in Southwest Roanoke, is a perfect example. As soon as I entered its door today, I was greeted by the Host with appreciation and taken to one of the comfortable booths of the restaurant. Soon after I was seated with the menu, another friendly employee brought me a basket filled with a generous portion of fresh tortilla chips and a bowl with a small glass bottle filled with their amazing sauce. Not long after, my server came by with a smile to see what I wanted to drink. She tried her best to talk to me in English, but when I switched to Spanish, that made her more comfortable and she appreciated my noble gesture. I ordered a Virgen Jumbo Frozen Mango Margarita to drink. While I was enjoying my chips with salsa, and studying the menu to see what I ordered today, they brought the order to the booth next to mine and I was very impressed with the "Steak con Camaron" served on a sizzling skillet. It was a T-bone steak grilled to perfection with plumpy, nice size shrimps. So when my server brought me my drink, I order this dish as my main entrée. I think I've had almost all of the most exclusive entrées on the menu. I invite you to view all of my photographs and videos on the Yelp site to get a better sense of its fresh and delicious food, as well as the photographs and videos I took today, accompanying this review. Just so the steak doesn't overcook and become tough, I would advice you to place it on the plate they give you with rice and refried beans, soon after it arrives on your table. The flavor was delicious, and the melted cheese on top of the plumpy shrimps also gave them this amazing taste. While I was enjoying my dinner, the restaurant manager came by to say hello. As a regular here, it was nice to be acknowledged and appreciated by the manager, and I believe this is an important aspect of an extraordinary dining experience. For dessert I had their Churro Cup. It is a cup made with the churro dough, filled with vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry. It was amazingly delicious and the perfect ending to an exemplary dining experience.

When all the employees shouted "Welcome to Moe's," I genuinely felt welcomed. And this made the big difference in my perception of this restaurant and their entire culture. It seems to me that everyone is welcomed at Moe's, no matter the color of their skin nor their socio-economic status. And genuinely caring about your customers is something that is lacking in many restaurants and should be top priority in the selection process of their employees. Moe's first started in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000 and the letters of their name stand for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers." They celebrate the unconventional. With the belief that you don't achieve greatness unless you "stir the pot." This Moe's Southwest Grill is conveniently located in the Bridges Shopping Center, next to the South 6 Apartments at the Bridges. It is housed in a beautiful, modern red brick building with their restaurant sign high above in yellow, red, and black colors. High above their two glass door entrance thete is another sign that reads: WELCOME TO MOE'S. Once one steps inside, a sound is heard and all their employees with a big smile shout "Welcome to Moe's." The interior design of the place has exposed black ceiling, large yellowish tile floors and lots of orange and red colors to help create a happy dining experience. It also has lots of windows all around their interior brick walls with posters featuring AUGMENTED REALITY (AR), which can be experienced via the Moe's Rockin' Rewards app. On the right side of the restaurant there is a low wall that goes all around and in front of the ordering counter to lead the way to the large menu on the wall and then to the counter where you tell their employees what you want and you watch them make it right before your eyes. I ordered The Stack with Grilled Steak as my protein and many other items along the way. I invite you to view my photographs that accompany this review. I made it a Meal and got a side of Queso and a Regular Drink. By the way, the Chips are free with your meal, they are made fresh daily, and are thin and crunchy. They also have a complimentary Salsa Buffet, where you can get a number of salsas to go with your chips. And if this wasn't enough, their drink machine is one of those where you can choose an already known drink or make your own by adding many flavors. I found this restaurant to be a clean, lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal in a happy and fun environment. And I highly recommend this restaurant for it's uniqueness and friendly service, as well as for its variety and quality of food.
