I was at work when he showed up and my wife described what we needed. here are his charges: Diagnosis of sliding door lock: $100.00 plus $125.00 to adjust it. New deadlock to basement: $80.- plus $300.- to install. Two doors leading to deck cost $100.- x 2 locks just to look at them and then $160.- to adjust them (they still don't lock correctly). Total cost for the 45 minutes he was at our home: $1,110.83! Needless to say, we will never call this guy again. His address shown is just a mailbox I believe.

My "regular" locksmith tried and failed to fabricate a spring and said only other thing to do was replace lock (modify door) with a modern (expensive) lock. Al Rovins repaired the old lock same day for a very nominal, reasonable price and took great pride in showing me the clever "workaround" for fabricating the new spring.
