La Hacienda Ranch restaurant is an absolute GEM! Fun ambiance, great service, amazing drinks, and the food is spectacular. I highly recommend the "Mariano" margarita .. it is pricey (~$20), but is high quality and very strong - there is a limit of 3 per patron (probably for a reason). The cheese torpedoes are pretty unique and delicious. But the main course is Steak Fajitas for two. I don't know what they do to the beef to marinate it and make it so amazingly tender .. by far the best steak fajitas we have ever had. Comes with all of the sides - guacamole, beans, pico, sour cream, salad, etc.. And the salsas a great too - one of them is smoky and is served warm. It can get busy there, so make a reservation. Also looks like a lively scene at the bar area as well, and you can get full menu service at the bar. We went to the Frisco location a few times, and then tried the Dallas location .. pretty much exactly the same and was equally as excellent .. highly recommended! read more

Being from Arizona, I'm a spoiled on our own type of Sonoran food, but this place is exceptionally different in its flavor style a presentation. I suspect they use flank steak, but whatever it is it's extremely tender and flavorful. The flour tortillas are very fresh and the beans and rice are extremely exceptional in flavor and texture. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The inside is very rustic, typical of a Texan style restaurant. They have Ample Parking. I always go out of my way when I come to Dallas or the surrounding area to eat here at there are several locations. My first experience was on Sunday May 10th. Thought the food was totally average and a little pricey for the quality compared to other Mexican restaurants like Muchacho, Las Palmas, Pappasitos, Doce Mesas. But why I am writing this is because 3 days later and my daughter and I are still suffering from some sort of food poisoning thy started in the middle of the night after we visited. It has been horrible, I do not see how people say this place has the best fajitas. They were dry and smoky. Not good at all. That was the year the owner, Mariano Martinez, invented the world's first frozen margarita machine. Instantly, it became the "go to " restaurant in Dallas. Today the greatest continues. The atmosphere has warmth in abundance in addition to being universally inviting, thus presenting a definitive ranch-style vibe, which creates a feeling of home for each individual. We shared beef fajitas which have the nice charred flavor you want in tender and well-seasoned meat. The dish included freshly made tortillas, and the flavorful sides delightfully improved it. It's great that they give you 6 tortillas the first time even if you only ordered the fajita for 1. It was a perfect size for sharing As an appetizer, we started with the Texas Torpedoes; it was a good mix of crispy, cheesy, as well as spicy. The jalapeños had a good kick. They were stuffed just right and weren't too much. We drank a single Fire & Ice Margarita, a genuinely fun and flavorful cocktail. Our work group (8) went to enjoy a dinner together after a long work day. Loved the laid back atmosphere, just made you feel relaxed and comfortable. I went to this restaurant yesterday for the first time because the ratings were so high; however, we were told we had a 20 to 30 minute wait. After 30 minutes, my date asked how much longer, and they stated they could seat us immediately. It seemed they were they waiting for us to ask for them to seat us again - irritating, but okay. Next we were seated in Toni's section. We got water pretty quickly, but everything after that took time. The later the evening wore on, the more time it took to receive service. Yes, the restaurant was busy when we first arrived, but by the time we left, it wasn't busy at all. The food was on point, but the service was needlessly slow; therefore, I give this restaurant a 3 out of 5. Hopefully, if we ever go back, and we will give them a few months minimum, we hope they will fix the service issues. read more

While this place is a little pricey, my goodness the food and drinks are amazing!!! The "Mariano" margarita is probably my favorite at any restaurant! Soooo yummy!!! It includes fresh squeezed lime and a 2.5 oz pour of top shelf tequila. I love the hand cut sun-shaped lime they use to garnish, too! Chips and salsa are served promptly upon arrival and the service is very good! We sat once at a table and once at the bar; both times solid. We had the beef fajitas for two and everything was amazing!!! The steak was tender, everything super fresh and tasty. One of my favorite things were the corn tortillas!!! Omgoodness they were AMAZING!!! And they're made in house just like the chips. So good! Two things I didn't love... the table was rather sticky. The tables were cleaned so I'm not sure if it's because they were older or what... I used my linen napkin as a placemat to solve that sticky feeling. I also felt like the chairs were quite shallow. I could not sit back all the way and felt like I was slipping forward. Neither of these things had an impact on the food or service, just things I don't like. It was very dark inside which I don't mind but big shocker to my eyes upon entering and exiting that took time to adjust to. They have a filet and Mariano special that I'll be back to try as well as an apple pie dessert that looks insane!!! My first visit here since Mariano purchased and started operating. I'd visited literally decades ago, when it sat in a field on a country road,by itself! Wow,how things change. The food wasn't memorable back then so,I haven't returned until now. I first ate at Mariano's original restaurant on Greenville Ave in Dallas Texas. That was before he invented the frozen margarita. Him and his family have done a great job of maintaining and expanding his operation over the years while maintaining quality This particular place designed to look like a mountain lodge,serves hundreds of diners . Pretty amazing they can sling that much Tex Mex every day Our dinner was excellent and I'd say representative of traditional Tex Mex served ( and craved) in this part of Texas. You have to be very assertive to get an acceptable table. The server Zoe was terrific. She really was good energy. We were so deep into misery by the time we encountered Zoe that she couldn't turn it around. When this place opened it was more aspirational. The chips and salsa are still good. I ate it and we paid for it because we were hungry but I would never order it again. Ordered the chicken enchilada (2) for around $15-16. Pulled chicken, spicy. Tiktok lied. It was not good, and I sent it back. I opted for the sour cream topping. My friend got the quesadilla. We ended up paying for that. She boxed it up and will give it to her nephews. Looking for lunch on a Saturday. We were Seated immediately. Greeted with smiles. Becca was our server and did a phenomenal job. The food came out accurate. Queso appetizer was a solid choice. Mini tacos for the girls. The rice and beans were very tasty. The tacos order the wife and I split were more than plentiful! Drinks were on full as were the chips and spicy yummy salsa. So good! Excellent dinner option in the DFW area. I was in town for a work and friend suggested we give this place a try. It was fantastic! The atmosphere was spacious and cowboy-y enough to feel like I really got to spend time in Texas. I had the Taco Plate- 3 tacos, mixed and matched. All were great. I really like the ambiance of the place, and they've done a great job with decor. It's cool they used a couple of old guns as the doorhandles for the front doors and then they have a big sitting area with large leather couches. The staff were super helpful and kept the drinks filled and checked in occasionally, and how good the food was. The food itself didn't really strike me as amazing, honestly just average for a good Mexican restaurant, thus the four star rating. Stopped by La Hacienda Ranch with a group of eight coworkers last week for team lunch and we really enjoyed ourselves! The interior decor is all super on brand (love the grizzly hanging out at the front near the host stand) and the service was on point. The complementary chips and salsa were great, and chip refills came swiftly. We ordered two tableside guacs for the group, as well as a normal queso and the queso mariano, which came with taco beef, tomato, guac, and sour cream that you mix in. The queso was a bit watery for my taste, but the guac was super fresh. I ordered the carne asada, which was wonderfully tender and had a nice char flavor. The cheese enchilada topped with chili that came with the plate was just alright, but I enjoyed the Mexican rice and ranchero bean soup. If I came again, I'd probably try the beef fajitas -- they look super great and the smell of them coming out sizzling on the pan can't be beat. read more

This place is great! I moved to Dallas in September and had driven past this place countless times but never dropped in. The outside of the restaurant is very eye-catching and is a bit gaudy so you can't miss it. I finally decided to check it out in December. I came in on a Friday night at about 7pm and the place was packed! I sat at the only seat at the bar and received decent service. The steak quesadilla and frozen strawberry margaritas that I ordered were excellent! Might I add that the chips and salsa options here are also great! Fast forward to last Saturday at around 2pm, I made it back for the second time and again sat at the bar. This time I ordered the fajita feast with shrimp, steak, and chicken. It was a lot of food and was really good! Although only two large shrimp were given, they were excellent and had great flavor. I asked for the bean soup in lieu of refried beans or black beans, and OMG that soup was SUPERB! Im not a soup person and Im not a bean person, but honeeeeeeeey, that soup was the bomb! I also really appreciate that La Hacienda Ranch gives you a lot of tortillas to make your fajitas. Most places only give three tortillas at a time, so getting like 6 to start with is phenomenal!
