Pasta with meat sauce and burrata
    Amanda N.

I came here with a friend for the Tuesday happy hour deal ($8 pastas and $5 wine). It was busy, but thankfully we made a reservation and didn't have to wait. Ambiance: great place for friends, date night, special occasion. We sat in the outdoor patio area and there were heaters around which kept us warm and cozy. Didn't love the bathroom situation; there are 2 bathrooms but they aren't really next to each other and there's not a lot of room to wait so it was a bit awkward to stand in the middle of the hallway and in front of other tables while waiting. Service: efficient, nice, friendly Food: The $8 sound enticing and gets you in the door, but be aware that it's for the bare minimum pasta (pasta + marinara/meat sauce). If you want protein, cheese, veggies, etc, there are extra charges. I ended up just getting the $16 Baked Vodka Bolognese since I thought the value was better than the buid-your-own. It was hot, cheesy deliciousness. My friend and I split the garlic bread which is this warm, crispy bread that comes with garlic sauce, and it was only $2! What a steal! We didn't order any wine so can't comment on that. Parking: Not great. Come early to account for this. Parked a few blocks away. It wasn't too bad, but it was very dark, so I had to use my phone flashlight for some of it. Overall, not the most amazing pasta I've ever had, but it's solid. $2 garlic bread is worth it.

Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here! Came on a Wednesday about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation time and got seated right away. We were able to find easy free street parking no problem about a block away around 6:30pm. The host and our waitress were lovely. We received complimentary garlic bread to start. The garlic and buttered side was SO good, but after that it's just plain dry bread, and we wished more of it had the garlic buttery goodness! The absolute star of the show was the lasagne, it was so flavorful, delicious, and filling! The vodka bolognese was what I was most excited about, but my preference for vodka sauce is creamier and thicker so it sticks to the noodle, where this was pretty thin and seemed to slide off for the most part. Once the sunset, it was SO dark in the restaurant. I wanted to pick around the mushrooms in the vodka bolognese, but literally had to turn on my phone flashlight because I couldn't clearly see in front of me without it. Only other note is we did select the option when making the reservation to indicate that it was our anniversary, but there was no mention of it in any way shape or form. I don't even need a free dessert or anything, but even just simply saying "happy anniversary" from anyone who worked there and saw our reservation note would've gone a long way.

    Chicken piccata, very good!

I visited with a group, ordering the Chicken Piccata. My entree was very good, lots of flavor, but the sauce was a little thin for my taste. But I'm no piccata oficianado! It was full of capers and mushrooms, very enjoyable. But I have to say, the complimentary garlic bread stole the show!!! I would return for that, alone. I had a glass of Tuscan Chianti to round it off. Service was excellent. There was a romantic vibe to the place, I think it would be great for date night.

I came for their Tuesday $8 Pasta night and I highly recommend your next happy hour/girls dinner night here! $5 house red and white wine (Pinot Grigio was their house white and it was yummmmy) For their $8 pasta selection -- I ordered the spaghetti w. meat sauce and added mushrooms. The food was really amazing! I was nervous it wasn't going to be as good because of how good the deal was itself - but I highly recommend you to come and try it out! There are also appetizers that they have on the menu for $5-7 that are also worth trying! I ordered the caprese. it seems like it's pretty packed here so make a reservation in advance or get here early!

My friends and I came for Pizza Mondays with $2 beer, $5 wine, and $8 build your own pizzas with a couple dollars for each extra you add. It's a beautiful restaurant and has a very cute patio with heat lamps and string lights. The servers were helpful and friendly. We made two build your own pizzas and both were delicious. With an appetizer or two, the two pizzas were enough for our group of six. There are no reservations on Monday and Tuesday for pizza and pasta nights so the wait was about 45 minutes but if you plan to walk around North Park for a while or get a drink elsewhere while you wait it can work out fine. They included a 20% tip built into the bill, so check for that when calculating whatever tip you may wish to leave. Lovely experience, I'll definitely be coming back!

Angel hair with marinara, pancetta & mushrooms

Pretty disappointing. Came for their $8 pasta Tuesday night and ordered an ANGEL HAIR MARINARA with pancetta & mushrooms and then a RIGATONI MARINARA with chicken. Both were just lackluster sauce that tasted out of a can and the mushrooms were so huge and chewy. Also got their garlic bread to start and there was only garlic on the first slice so the rest was just bread. Glad I came for their discount pasta night and not their regular priced menu.

Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food, and standout service!!! We came in during peak hours and ended up being pretty high maintenance guests. Jennifer/Jen was our server and she was incredible. She accommodated everything we asked for without missing a beat and truly went above and beyond. It meant a lot to all of us that she stayed so kind and attentive under pressure. Shoutout to Tyler as well! he wasn't our server but still helped our table several times. The food was excellent, the vibe is gorgeous, and the staff clearly cares. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

My son bought me a gift card for this place for Christmas and I hate that it's taken me this long to get there. Luckily, we showed up on a Tuesday pasta night and was able to sit at the bar without a reservation. It was probably the best meal I've had this year. I built my own pasta bowl with creamy pesto, sun-dried tomato, and Jumbo shrimp. This was 100% delicious. Do not pass on the beet salad. I love the open clean kitchen. You can watch everyone working hard and making every plate perfect.

Finally made it to Tuesday Pasta night! We booked on opentable, we just had to plan a month out to get a decent time. There were 5 of us and we were seated inside. The table was little weird for 5, inside was also pretty dim, but still manageable. Build your own pasta started at $8 and depending on the sauce was extra along with the protein and additional toppings, still cheaper than some of the ready made dishes. They also have $5 wines! We share some garlic bread and bruschetta. Everything was delicious and the service was great. It was fun to get together at the start of the work week. We definitely are looking forward to coming back!

We had a reservation for Saturday evening and were seating upon arrival. They had us sat with waters and fresh bread already waiting. The decor was simple but very cute! The food was delicious! I got their vegetarian option for pasta and it was great! They did have an option to add protein.

Came here at night and the ambiance was so cute. It's dimly lit and cozy, which makes it feel really romantic. Not overly pricey and the pasta was delicious. Service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. Great spot for a casual but nice dinner.

This is my 3rd time coming here and this time we came the day after Valentine's Day on a Sunday at 6:30PM. Had a reservation and got here around 6:15, had a wait a bit to be seated. Got seated outside and the ambiance was very nice with a movie playing. Service was a little slow, we had our menus for about 20 minutes. Only ordered the bruschetta at first while we were looking for dairy free, non-spicy, options; wasn't very much to do with one vegan option and slight substitutions. Got one of the bruschettas with no cheese and they were delicious. Complimentary bread with balsamic and oil were very good as well. After getting the bruschetta is when we ordered Theodore's pizza and a pasta. Big portions, took most of it home. Good food overall just a little slow but understanding since it was busy because of valentines weekend.

Perfect place for date night. The ambiance inside is quaint and outside is romantic with the lights and old school movie playing on a projector. They have heat lamps and a fire pit as well. Besides the vibes being on point, the food is also great. Came here for their Monday pizza night and had the pesto and the pepperoni. The pizza is thing crust and a good portion (2 people can share pizza). Their red wine on special was decent, and the apps were also delicious. Going to check out their pastas next time.

I got the Orecchiette Con Salsiccia ($24) with ear shape pasta finished with sautéed garlic, olive oil, Italian sausage, pesto , chopped tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella cheese in white wine cream sauce. I thought the sausage quality was just okay and not the best. I loved the Al dente pasta. I would probably opt for a tomato base sauce here because I think they do the flavors so much better. My family got the Taglierini Neri Ai Frutti Di Mare ($27). Plenty amounts of seafood with really well cooked pasta. The portions here are massive! All of us had to take our dishes to go so I highly recommend coming here if you want to bring home seconds. Service was also attentive and I appreciated that the kitchen plated the panna cotta to celebrate Mother's Day. I never get panna cotta but this one was creamy and not too sweet with the blueberry sauce. Highly recommend.

Parking down here definitely isn't easy, but we luckily found a spot nearby. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we arrived, which I'm sure had a lot to do with the game. We were the only guests at first, but by the time we left there were several other tables dining. From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely phenomenal. Our server made us feel so welcomed. We ordered: * Focaccia Bread: I personally would have liked it a little crispier, but you could tell it was fresh, and it had really nice flavor. * Burrata & Strawberry Salad: light, refreshing, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I added a little balsamic vinaigrette for extra flavor, but overall it was fantastic. * Amatriciana (with added meatballs$: you can add meatballs for $7, and they also offer add-ons like shrimp or burrata for around $6-$8. The homemade pasta completely stole the show. The noodles were fresh, perfectly cooked, and honestly some of the best pasta I've had in San Diego. The meatballs were huge, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Two was the perfect amount. To top it all off, they surprised me with flan and a dessert wine for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night even more special.
