I found Carabella through a Facebook ad and I think there are positives and negatives to their office. Positives: It's a new office and everything is very clean and modern. They also certainly put a lot of effort into providing "perks" like giving you the chance to watch Netflix while getting your exam. The staff is all very friendly and it is clear that they want to be different than one might think of as a traditional dentist's office. Negatives: So, I went in knowing I needed dental work. However, they recommended a very aggressive and expensive treatment plan that left me feeling totally overwhelmed and anxious. I literally was fighting back tears as Dr. Bella listed everything that was wrong with my mouth (and I'm someone who is not a stranger to needing dental work done). When they gave me the treatment plan with a very large price tag I was so overwhelmed I could barely focus at work. The whole thing just didn't make me feel great or optimistic. They also refer you to a lender that can help you with a payment plan if you want to space out your payments, but after some research I found out this lender is basically a subprime lender that takes advantage of people with low credit scores who can't get other financing. Luckily it wasn't something I really needed, but Carabella's association with them made me a bit uncomfortable, especially combined with the amount of money they wanted me to spend. Luckily we live in an area with a lot of choices and since I wasn't 100% comfortable I ended up finding another dentist. No Netflix or free snacks, but a practice that has been around awhile and offers more reasonable treatment plans. They also picked up on something pretty big that was missed at my visit to Carabella. Bottom line: I think this office is fine, especially if you just need an exam and a cleaning and you don't need a lot of additional work. It is a change of pace for a dentist's office and could be enjoyable for some people. However, if you do need work I would definitely suggest exploring your options in the area. read more

I am a new patient. I appreciate the friendly environment. Also, I had three cavities that were filled. In addition, I had to do a follow-up because one tooth needed to be drilled again to fit the bite. Unfortunately, the Kor-Whitening treatment was unsuccessful. The amount paid from my insurance and my out-of-pocket expense was not justifiable. Also, I preferred something that focused on all my teeth including the back teeth (this was discussed during the consultation). As a result of this treatment, some of my teeth are only a shade whiter. The amount of pain I experience the day of treatment and especially the after the treatment was not worth the cost. I had to take Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Orajel, and Anbesol. Last, I decided not to continue with getting my crown removed and replaced to match this shade. Ultimately, after a week, my teeth are still the same shade before the treatment. Hopefully, someone else will have better experience. Also, my teeth were molded before the Kor Treatment. I was advised to use the Whitening Gel two weeks before the day of treatment. In contrast, the day I received the brackets I was informed that one tooth was missing from the molding. I was told that it will be okay. I was concerned about this information because I wear a retainer every night and I did not want my tooth to shift. I decide not to use the molding. I used my retainer instead. read more

Dr. Lee is excellent!!! She is very professional and kind consistently at every appointment. She takes time to ask about concerns/questions and is very thorough explaining treatments before and post procedures. She uses advanced equipment and quality products. The office is super clean and modern decore with a TV in the ceiling to ease your mind during procedures. Office staff and also very professional. I've had such horrible experiences at various dental clinics, I'm so relieved to have found a clinic that is honest regarding treatments I actually need and not delaying delivery of care. What a wonderful experience for my 3 years old daughter! We live in Chicago. We spent a month in VA to visit my family and my 3yo daughter needed an annual dental check up and cleaning. One of our friend recommended Carabella dental and I'm glad it was the right choice. My daughter got there a bit nervous and got out excited and happy :). Dr.Bella is so friendly and engaging with children. She is very informative about the procedures and focus on dental health prevention. As a mom, I trust her 100%. The office design is also very nice, super clean, modern and minimalist. Movies play in every room creating a distraction during procedures which is awesome for kids. I mean how can you keep a toddler sit still for 30min? Thank you to Carabella dental for the excellent care, from the front desk staff to the dentist herself! We will come back. read more

As a dentist myself, I needed an exam and cleaning. I found this office based on reviews and Dr. Bella's credentials. It's one of the most professional experiences I have had. The entire experience was seamless--from booking the appointment, to getting my concerns addressed, to completing the treatment I needed. Horrible office. I informed them going in that I was aware that I needed a fair amount of work done but $15,000 of recommended work the first visit? I have horrible dental anxiety and told them this yet they did nothing to reduce my anxiety rather made it 100 times worse. Moreover, I experience extreme nausea from having any dental device in my mouth yet they had me sitting in the chair for two hours doing a series of X Rays surely while knowing this would make me sick. I have been sick ever since yesterday. I suppose someone needs to pay for their new office but I am no fool. Even if all the work is necessary , I can have it done by my regular dentist for less than $10,000. Stay away from these people at all costs. read more

Dr. Bella and her staff were excellent. My visit was more like a spa-experience vs. a dental examination and cleaning. Modern, minimalist, and clean environment. They provide a relaxed atmosphere; modern/upscale surroundings and equipment; online registration; an office of wellbeing; sedation (as needed); great appointment options; and the Netflix; blanket; pillow. I had such a wonderful first visit with Carabella Dental today! The entire team was so welcoming, I felt like everyone was very focused on what would make me comfortable throughout my visit. The best! I've had great dentists and dental assistants most of my life, however, my experience at Carabella Dental was over the top amazing. They've made going to the dentist similar to a spa experience. No really! Your treated like a VIP the entire time. Appointment process and check-in couldn't be easier, and takes full advantage of technology. Vivian at the front desk takes a personal interest in your comfort and treats you like a family guest. Maria and Dr. Bella Nguyen take care of the rest. You're offered pillows, blankets, water, coffee, and provided nice headsets to watch Netflix or YouTube. Dr. Nguyen is very thorough, describes and explains everything being done. I highly recommend, and I know you won't be disappointed! Best dentist appointment ever! Setting up my appointment was quick and easy. I was able to fill up my forms online so I didn't have to do it when I got there. They also took great precautions which is greatly appreciated specially during this pandemic. They had me fill out a form online, while I was still in my car, just to make sure I wasn't sick or been tested positive of COVID-19. They limited the number of people allowed in the lobby, wore 2 layers of face mask, and regularly changed their gloves (after leaving the room etc.). The place is also very beautiful and clean. Their stock room is sooo organized which you can see through the halls. They let you watch Netflix, give you drinks, blankets, pillows, whatever you might need from their comfort menu. But the best part, that was the best dental cleaning I've ever had. Dr. Bella was very gentle and made sure to explain everything to me. I didn't feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure. read more

I recently went to Carabella Dental for an issue I was having with a tooth and nerve pain in my upper gum. I was referred to them by a work colleague who had been and was very pleased on her 1st visit. I'd been needing and wanting to change dentists for quite some time, and never did. With this current situation, after reading the positive and glowing reviews about her online, I knew I was in very good hands. No need to fear going to the dentist. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised at her bright and beautiful office. Everyone is so warm and friendly, even from booking my appointment by phone. Her hygienist was very informative as she was taking my x-rays and I was so pleased when I met Dr. Bella! I have never enjoyed going to the dentist as I did the day I went to Carabella Dental! She was also very informative as she explained my x-rays and explained to me what she thought were my alternatives were with my tooth. She did refer me to an endodontist for further review, who also had positive reviews. I'm looking forward to my follow-up appt with her today for a comprehensive dental exam as well as for my tooth restoration later after my root canal. I love the fact that Dr. Bella was called to serve through dentistry and continues to engage in over 100 hours of education and training each year. Wow. She is awesome! By far the best dentist experience I've ever had. Not only does the team optimize for your comfort with tvs on the ceilings (to watch while you get your treatment done), noise-cancelling headphones, fleece blankets, neck pillow, lip balm, etc... you can tell that everyone there really cares about your wellbeing. Dr. Bella was thorough, took the time to answer my questions, and kept me informed throughout the entire visit of what was going on with my teeth. It was super empowering to be a part of the process-- she even shared with me what the different dentistry codes mean when she was doing my exam. I was informed about the prices of the services that needed to be done that day (including what my insurance covered) so I could consent and ask questions. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly and genuinely cared about my experience. I never thought I'd say I'm looking forward to my next dentist appointment... but with this place I honestly do :) I felt so cared for from every step of the process.
