They make really good pizzas and pastas my family loves their pizzas and they give good amount of serving you shouldn't leave there hungry as a matter of fact we always bring home half of the pizzas or pasta dish because we couldn't eat it all at once. read more

Lovely little place. A bit off the beaten path, but great for road trippers as it's right off I-44, is clean and inexpensive. Our waitress was quite personable and we even had a few extensive conversations. Food was pretty good and could tell was homemade. read more

Wow! On a recent visit to the in-laws from Seattle I read the reviews on Alex's and the picture on yelp of the pizza looked great. MUCH to my surprise, spinach cheese pie and greek salad (two of my favorites) were on the menu. Growing up in Detroit with tons of amazing greek food I was skeptical. Both were truly some of the best I've ever had, I would come back daily for that spinach pie! Pizza was also great. Fantastic service as well! read more

Possibly the worst Gyro ever!!! When we lived in Rolla I was so happy to find this place since Gyros are one of my favorites. Last night we drove over 1 hour just to visit this restaurant and what disappointment!!!! They were somewhat busy but after a 1 hr wait for our sandwiches we were served frozen Costco Gyro meat. When we paid at the register (which the earring lipped lady didn't even bother to ask How was everything) we noticed no meat on the regular gyro rotisserie and asked what are you doing different with the meat? It was thin frozen deli VERY GREASY meat? She rudely didn't even reply. Last trip there. After telling anyone who would listen what a great place to eat....I will do the same now and tell them stay away! Not authentic! read more

Oh yes it is that good! Been there several times and always satisfied. I only went there for pastas. They were made so delicious. I'm not an expert in Italian food but have tried a lot different restaurants. And this one is definitely one of the best. Since I only care about food, I didnt pay much attention to service, but it was definitely not disappointing. I have not tried their pizza but thats something that I would look forward to for sure. read more

Great food!! I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Rolla and they deliver... huge plus!! I ordered the gyro meal and the salad was amazing and a rather large portion. The gyro itself was amazing!! I'm a native Of Chicago so to have authentic Greek cuisine so far from home was great!! I definitely will order when we come back through Rolla. read more

We had a totally disappointing experience. We were on an annual trip with two other families, Alex's was our go to place but never again. Our server was incredibly rude, no hello, no introduction, opens with how many checks do you need and I am taking the orders by check. Asked three times to have one of three TVs changed so we could watch the Belmont race, we were ignored on first request, no response on the second and told no on the third. Our salads were wrong, no apology. When we asked our waitress which half of our pizza was pepperoni, she picked up my fork and actually pulled the cheese off the pizza to check. We asked for plates, straws, and one persons food that was not delivered. Everything that was brought to our table was auctioned off, it's pizza and beer not freaking rocket science. It was a bummer of a start to our trip. We will gladly take our business elsewhere next year. read more

AMAZING pizza I love this place:) I order something different every time and I am never disappointed!

I was hoping that this would be the place that I could go eat and feel welcomed but it was not the case. The food is outstanding but the servers need extra training in customer service. The times that I have eaten in or ordered to go I have made it a point to leave a more than decent tip to the server or person working the register to show appreciation for what they do. This is the first time that I have not left a tip because I was so disgusted by the service and it has in my opinion gotten worse every time I have gone there. When your server makes it a point to check on all her other tables and totally ignores you I assume leaving a tip is not worth my effort. It is the first time that I have never left a tip in any resteraunt that I have eaten in. What upsets me most is that I have raved about this place to my friends who live out of state and anyone who may be traveling through the area. I guess I will spend more money at DiTrapanis to get the service that is expected. read more

This is probably the worse place to eat at in town. Staff is disrespectful, manager does not care about his customers at all! On Sunday it specifically says online on there website that when you order a large pizza you get a free order of toasted ravioli. No where on the site it says "upon request". So I went to click delivery, I ordered my large pizza and waited for my food. When I got my food I only received the large pizza not my toasted ravioli. When I called to inform them they forgot it they were rude about it and said "Well, did you request it?" Of course I didn't cuz it said online that it is included with the large pizza specifically. I told them no, and then they told us that it's only served when you request it. So we asked them if we could get them. They said "yes only if you wanna drive up here and pick it up yourselves" so of course they don't care at all about there customers if your gonna talk to one like that over the phone. So we drove up there my boyfriend went in and he asked for the raviolis they asked him what the name was and they didn't ask for a name so he told them that, and the heavier set guy kinda just scoffed at him. He then yelled at the people in the kitchen "THE COLLEGE KID IS HERE!" When were obviously not college kids. If you ask me that's so unprofessional. You could have said a million different things to describe him. So then after going through everything they made him and handling himself professionally compared to how they were when they were downsizing him pretty much. He asked for the tip back he gave the deliverer and the manager said "You can get two dollars and that's all! Next time you need to request it; how are we supposed to know you want it?" And my boyfriend continues to tell him that we both have had Alex's every Sunday for the past month and we have not requested it, and we still received it every time" The manager goes on blabbing that we need to request it next time. So then my boyfriend just left considering the fact that there just gonna blame there customers for there mistakes instead of owning up for it and apologizing. I went there the first week of june. The place appeard to be nice but the staff was so bad I had to leave before I even got drinks. The waitress spilled tea all over me. Now you may say accidents happen. NO, this was not the case. She was talking to her friends accross the dinning room and not paying attention to what she was doing and didn't set the glass down correctly. Also when we came into the resturant (which was NOT packed or crowded I may say) she had a poor attitude. After spilling the tea on me she did not seem genuiely sorry which I must admit is a perception thing. I have been to Alex's about half a dozen times and it is always delicious and fresh. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get my food but when I do it is scalding hot right out of the oven. I am not a thin crust pizza person, but theirs is actually quite delicious and not a cracker crispy crust. I personally enjoy their calzones and gyros the most. read more

My family was traveling from Chicago to Branson and wanted to stop for dinner. We found Alex Pizza place online, and we looked at their menu and decided to stop there for dinner. With that said, it is a Greek restaurant that also serves pizza. We like that we could get a Greek salad and pizza too. The price of the Greek salad online is $5.99. However, the price when you get to the restaurant is $6.49. For that price we were expecting salad the size of a meal. But, the salad was the size of a house salad appetizer. We mentioned the discrepancy in the price and the size of the salad to the waitress... She agreed with me and said that she would talk to management. She came back to our table and said the "price is the price" and it's correct in the menu. And, that management said there was nothing they could do for us. The waitress said that we could take the cost of the salad out of her tip. That was very nice of the waitress and not very nice of the restaurant management. We understood why the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. I would not recommend getting their Greek salad if you are looking for something substantial for the price they are charging.
