This company is the worst. AHS sent them to fix a dishwasher and they sent out an angry repair guy who said they had to order parts. After a week of not hearing back we contacted them and they sent a different repairman out and said the previous repair man disappeared. He said they would have to reorder the parts. So another week goes by and the repairman comes out and realizes he didn't order all the parts he needed. So now we are 3 weeks in and dishwasher still isn't fixed. Then they contact us and say they have to charge us 755 dollars to repair a 300 dollar dishwasher. Basically the repairman forgot to order the right parts, so they were trying to scam us out of 755 dollars. Not to mention when we called there were dogs barking so loudly in the background we couldn't even understand what the phone lady was saying. We got our money refunded for AHS. If your home warranty (such as American Home Shield) assigns this company, I would strongly recommend requesting a different vendor. They went to our property multiple times and finally provided a diagnosis and repair quote that was not covered by the warranty. We were fully prepared to pay out-of-pocket to get the repair completed. However, when we called to schedule the work, Toni in the office told us they "didn't have time to do the repair" and were too backed up. I asked for clarification -- because they had already collected the $100 service fee and completed the diagnostic -- and she replied that those were "two separate things," meaning they would take the fee but were unwilling to complete the job. So after multiple visits, delays, and a paid deductible, we were left with no repair and had to start over with another vendor. That's simply not acceptable service. read more

One my washer was unbalanced and the tech they sent basically said it was just the clothes I'm putting in. I paid AHS twice to have this company come out and wasted my money because of the lack of effort in really checking the washer. I called Samsung and they had their tech confirm that there was some parts that were broken that caused the washer to be unbalanced. I paid $300 for that repair. This was back in 2022. Now my AC was supposed to be maintained today. It's still working but thank god I'm learning this now. Alfa inspector did the maintenance on my ac unit back in 2023 and per the tech that came today he don't wanna touch it because of how the last tech who worked on it did a crappy job. If he removed anything it could cost my ac unit to not work properly. This company was dispatched by AHS, and from the beginning it was clear the technician intended to report to the home warranty company that the washer failure was caused by "excessive wear and tear due to overloading." It felt like an attempt to deny the claim and then pressure me into hiring them directly for repairs at a cost of $755. If they are assigned to you through AHS, I strongly recommend calling and requesting a different vendor. AHS sent them to look at my washing machine. Was told that a cockroach fried the mother board, but was not shown the damage before the washer was put back together like most technicians will do. They knew this wouldn't be covered under my warranty if it was caused by pests so they wanted to charge me $475 for replacement parts. Heck, with the $125 AHS fee and the $475 they wanted, I could get a new washer for that price. Thinking how I don't have issues with pests, I got another option and that technician didn't find any issues that was pest related. I am getting extremely frustrated with AHS and their hiring of businesses like this. Highly recommended finding another company if they assign them to your repair. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He assessed my washing machine and ordered the necessary parts needed to repair it. The parts arrived in a timely fashion. Stefan came to install the new parts. My husband said that he was also knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, the machine still was not able to be repaired. My overall experience with Alfa Appliances exceeded my expectations. She told me that they were booked and couldn't come out but when I looked online they were available every day! Wait times for service dispatch are a week out. Once parts are ordered they will not schedule an install date until the part is received which pushes you out another week to wait for repair. Please do not let these people in your home, I don't care who recommends them. Let's start from the beginning. So I was notified of his arrival, and it showed how far he was, and etc. so that was good. But that's about it. I explained to the technician exactly what was wrong to the best of my knowledge. I told him the device that was malfunctioning. I told him that we had other devices checked out but never this one. I explained that the problem had been going on for sometime but every tech always though it was another device. I even showed him photos and videos of the device malfunctioning. So what does the tech do? Well he takes apart another device and spends an hour in my home wasting time. During that time he makes several trips in and out of the house for some odd reason. At some point he takes off his mask, because hey we aren't in the middle of a pandemic right, and I have to ask him to put it back on. And he looked shocked that I would ask him. This company should not only be run out of business, but out of town. My home warranty company contracted with them to repair my built in refrigerator. That was Wednesday, Alfa didn't show up until the following Tuesday. The tech opened the fridge and freezer doors, took a picture of the label in the freezer and announced I needed not only a new compressor but the whole thing needed to be retrofitted. He knew all this without doing any diagnostics. Then he said Alfa doesn't do retrofitting and I'll have to find a company that does. I called a company I've used before for a second opinion. They told me a complete retrofit to replace a compressor is ridiculous and it just as easily could be the Freon and pressure. No way to know without actually diagnosing the problem. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield and Alfa Appliances was assigned to service our Samsung Refrigerator. Alfa called to discuss the problem and to schedule an appointment. The Ice Maker Freezing is a problem that Alfa was familiar with and stated they would order the parts which would take approx. 2 weeks. The Ice maker freezing problem is well known and there is a class action suit pending. Samsung has issued a repair bulletin but will not provide any free repair if the unit is out of warranty. Once the parts arrived a service time was scheduled. The Alfa service technician assigned was Stan. Stan called during the scheduled appointment window to advise of his estimated arrival. Upon arrival he wore shoe protectors and a Cvoid 19 mask. Stan was professional and cleaned up thoroughly after completion of the work. To date the Ice maker has been operating correctly for two weeks and appears that the problem has been resolved. read more

There is a repair that is necessary and the guy (not gentleman, because he is an unprofessional worker and so disrespectful to my father on multiple accounts) has come by, that I know for the last couple of months since June 2021. It is now December 2021. They apparently have said that they are not open until Dec 1, 2021 and were on a break. My father has needed a part to fix his stove top and it is still not working after having them come by in June, July, August and September. They were the second choice from HAS home warranty. Our dishwasher stopped working after we detected a smell of burning electronics. The first choice of repair company had our claim denied because they said that we did not have an air gap device. After a web search we discovered it is a device in line with the waist water line going to out garbage disposal. This was a plumbing part, not an electronic part. After calling HSA to complain, they sent out Alfa Appliances. They took one look and decided we needed the control board repaired and the air gap has nothing to do with it, so HAS covered it. Alfa told us it would take two weeks, but it only took one. They also replaced the springs for the door for just the cost of the springs. Thought they needed a good review after all the bad one. Stefan came to repair our washing machine on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Stefan stated to me that Darnell the previous tech did not diagnose the problem correctly, that the part he ordered was incorrect and the washing machine only needed a hose. Stefan said he had to drive out to Henderson to the parts warehouse to pick up the hose and it would take him about an hour and half to drive down and back. Stefan returned and put the hose on and left. The next day Friday, November 6, 2020. I put my bed linen in the washer and left to go back to my bedroom. As I was walking back to my kitchen, I walked into a river of water coming from my laundry room coming from the washing machine. When Stefan arrived he did not show any compassion, did not apologize for what had happened. I asked Stefan who I need to talk to regarding my flooring being replaced. I told Stefan, I will be calling again Monday, November 9, 2020 to speak with Alpha Appliance , the wood flooring has buckled due to the water Damage The first technician ordered a Master Seal due to the motor not being activated. Stefan had put the Master Seal part on the washing machine on Thursday, November 5, 2020, and tested the washer to make sure everything was working properly. I'm quite sure my wood flooring and molding in my home would not be damaged. I'm requesting that my wood flooring and molding be replaced. I have also attached a copy of the work order the first technician gave us. I have attached a copy of the hose Stefan put on my washer Thursday, November 5, 2020. I have also attached pictures of the water damage to my flooring and molding, as you may also notice my floors were covered in water. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau to see if the would assist me getting my floor repaired, this was due to every time I called the receptionist would not take my call. Brian from ALFA Appliances arrived on time, was professional and courteous. Our dryer has not been drying the clothing. He pulled apart the machine and we found tons of dog hair. I was able to vacuum all that hair up and he checked the machine. Found out it was a heating element which is a wear and tear item .
