Fidel Alfaro and his crew did an excellent job removing an enormous silver maple from my backyard. At its largest point, the stump was almost 8 feet in diameter! My yard has very limited access, which required Fidel to use a crane to lift every piece of the tree over my house with his crane. What a great experience! I never thought I would say that about have a tree removed from our garden on Adams Dr SS. Last November I had contracted with a company from Annapolis to remove a large tulip popular from our back garden. After 9 weeks of delays and excuses the company came back and informed me that they wanted an additional $600 to complete the job. Alfaro's Tree Experts quote was reasonable, and the work was performed in a very timely and professional manner. When it comes to cutting down trees and grinding stumps I don't see how it could have been done better. Alfaro's uses a very professional modern internet based business interface to keep you informed of appointments, quotes, deposits, etc. In addition they maintain an office administrator that I contacted for any general questions and it was easy to contact Fidel for specific job related concerns or questions. Their performance was thorough, used a crane to ensure a safe and efficient job for a very large ~ 80 foot high oak tree that was above a six foot retaining wall. They removed a small section of my fence and replaced it and somehow got their large stump grinding machine in my backyard. Cleanup was meticulous, they left no sign of the tree that was removed. Alfaro's team came to Asheville after the devastating storm. There were incredibly helpful taking care of blocked roads, removing trees off homes and structures and from yards and roads. It was challenging to find a tree crew in those first weeks, but Alfaro did a ton of work in my neighborhood. What impressed me the most was how professional, efficient, and clean the crew was. Plus, given the tremendous need for tree work throughout the area the prices charged were more than fair. Other companies were price gouging, but not his company that came all the way from Maryland to help. I can not say enough good things about this company. This is the second time we used Alfaro and we are very pleased with their quickness and quality of work. We had two tall trees in our backyard one dead and one almost dead and some trimmings on the other trees. The dead one was right next to our deck so Fidel recommends that we use the crane to reach to the back of the roof and to the trees. He was able to give us a quote on the spot. The day of the removal, a 100ft crane drove up our driveway and the men began to work on taking the two trees down piece by piece. They also cleaned up very nicely and hauled everything away. One thing I can say is they love their job. All the positive reviews are spot on with my experience. I had three trees cut down and two trimmed. They left the site very clean and stacked the logs from the trees in the back exactly as request. Even did a little extra trimming one tree that we both agreed needed it. One tree was rotting from the inside as we had several branches break already. Unfortunately, as they hauled away part of that tree, a branch broke off and damaged the deck. They came back and fixed the deck to my complete satisfaction (actually better than it was before). I have already recommended Alfaro to several neighbors for their tree work, and I whole heartedly recommend them to you. read more

We've hired Alfaro's Tree Experts multiple times now and they have done an amazing job each time. During the estimate, they explained everything that needed to be done and which trees were unhealthy and needed to be removed and which just needed to be pruned. They did a great job removing three extremely large trees right near our house and grinding the stumps, removing some large shrubs, and trimming other trees. They were very careful with the machinery and very thorough taking care of everything and cleaning up. We have used Alfaros twice: fair price and good results. The first time was a few years ago. We had Alfaros remove a large dying pine tree from our back yard. First was a few years ago, they removed the limbs, then used a crane to reach into the yard to lift out limbs and large sections of the tree trunk. The second time was last fall when I had Alfaros work on another tree removing branches which were overhanging our roof and trim an overgrown Crape Myrtle. Alfaros responded promptly and professionally with a quote. The work was quickly scheduled, the service was courteously performed and the crew left the work area clean. I called the number from the flier I received in the mail and spoke to Fidel. He made an appointment to come the same day to give me an estimate. I had 4 trees removed and about 6 more trimmed and cleaned up (dead limbs). His price was better than a couple others I had spoken to and their work was excellent. The trees they trimmed look great and they carefully removed the 4 trees and cut the wood I wanted to the length I requested. We had a problem with a huge branch that broke off our tree down our driveway and hit our neighbor's roof. I called Alfero's tree service and they were at our house within an hour. They brought out a full crew that cut up the entire tree and stump and took away all of the tree that day. They did a fantastic job and left no debris. At first we had little bit trouble connecting to schedule the free estimate, but then the owner personally came and give us the estimate that was better than the other local ones we received. Best Tree Service We Ever Had Alfaros Tree Experts are fantastic. The tree which needed to come down was HUGE. Alfaros used a crane to do the job - much safer for the workers! We really like Fidel.
