We lived down the street from Alforno's for 15 years. This was our "go to" for a great hot sandwich or freshly made, ny-style, pizza. The owners are so sweet and always call you by name when you dine-in or pick up. We came back to the DFW area to visit friends and family. Friday I suggested we take a friend to Alorno's for dinner because we were regulars when we lived in Flower Mound. When we walked in a server that we were familiar with recognized us which was impressive because we moved away 8 years ago I ordered my favorite, chicken marphy with fettuccini alfredo, my wife had the special salmon stuffed with crab, our friend had the chicken marsala. Wow, it was just as good as we remembered. The service was great and I told the server we had been regulars and he informed the chef who owns Alforno's. Robert came out and spoke to us and thanked us for coming back. Now, you can go to a "fine" dining establishment and pay double but if I have a choice of a last meal the fettuccini alfredo would be on the list. Thank you Alforno's for a great evening! read more

Chicken parmigiana is what I always get. Always! Unless I get the lobster ravioli or spaghetti w meat sauce. Great people first off, the food you just have to try. You won't regret it. Food portions were huge and flavors were great! Calamari was very good. So large, we shared with the other couple we went with, and still didn't finish it. The server was very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Had not heard of this place before but saw the nice reviews on yelp and was craving pasta so the whole family went. Weird location, thought I was in the wrong place when I pulled into the parking lot. Decor is old but lends to the atmosphere. Forgot to take pictures of the appetizer and main course. But we had the fried calamari, margherita pizza, and vodka pasta. Generous portions, very flavorful. Even the picky kids loved it. It was so good, we stayed for dessert. We ordered chicken alfredo, veal piccata, garlic bread and mozzarella sticks. Here's our feedback: - Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken: tasted like warm cream and the kitchen was out of every seasoning on the planet. - Veal Piccata: Flavorless and looked like 3 day cooked chicken - Garlic bread: still half frozen - Mozz sticks: the only edible part of the meal by a small margin Overall, we spent $70 on takeout for 6 mozz sticks and a few packets of parmesan cheese. Tucked away a little bit but worth the find, this place does awesome takeaway orders and has everything packed away so nicely and fresh. I waited in the bar area for my food and they have a few tables in there with a TV and then the main part of the restaurant is more classic with booths and tables to sit at. I had ordered a catered dinner for a New Year's Eve party. I was so happy to find out that they deliver and delivered on time. Everything was well packed, hot and pretty much ready to serve buffet style. The food was great and all my guest enjoyed the meal. The price was reasonable. Hi! I want to give a five star to the chef, the food is amazing, we had the trio pasta, and chicken provolance , however I felt rushed while the server was taking our order. I asked for some breadsticks and before I finish my sentence she was walking away. But the food was perfect. Deserts were not that good, I ordered a New York style cheesecake and my son ordered a cannoli. The cheesecake was plain and the cannoli was dry and had no flavor. This food is good!! I am not a big fan of Italian food, but I had a craving for some pasta recently, and saw Alforno's highly ranked on DoorDash, and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the Shrimp & Scallops Fradiavolo. The Lobster Ravioli is creamy and rich but not too rich. The Fradiavolo had some spice which I loved, and the seafood and noodles were so moist and well cooked! The portion sizes are great! The meals also came with side salads and bread. And even though the delivery from DoorDash was about 40 minutes late (not Alforno's fault) and was picked up 15 min after the restaurant was closed, the food arrived hot! First time coming in for an early dinner and we LOVED it. My husband and I were immediately greeted and sat. The restaurant has hand sanitizer, employees wearing mask, and seating everyone apart, so they are covid approved for us! We started with the cheesy garlic bread with tomato, we really enjoyed it! Crunchy on the outside/first bite but then nice, soft and super cheesy in the middle. The decór was simple, the menu was not overwhelming and they had a very nice wine selection. We got there right before 5, so we were honestly the only ones there, which made us nervous as first timers however, it was an early weekday dinner. As we were leaving closer to 6, more and more guests were coming in. That's when we noticed the social distancing inside (good job guys). Service- missed his name but he was friendly, attentive and honest Food- daYUM. Marinara is legit the BEST marinara I have ever ever had. You can taste the REAL tomatoes, the fresh chopped parsley and garlic. I am super picky about my alfredo, ley me tell you, 5/5. I noticed another yelper mention the alfredo which is why I got the pasta trio (cheese ravioli, lasagna, and alfredo). We had the tiramisu, also so so good! My husband had the veal, he was short of licking the plate clean. We deff look forward to coming back and becoming regulars. I noticed not many recent pictures so I made sure to take some and post.
