When we went i believed they were still in soft openings because not a lot of the stuff was set up. This is a Ma and Pa store and looks family owned. Please be patient as it's just them running the store. The tamales were BOMB.COM, dank, good or whatever your slang is lol It's been a while since I've had good tamales in the IE. My family is from Sinaloa so I felt very nostalgic eating the tamales. They don't add aceitunas like my grandma does on hers but I'm sure that because a lot of people don't like them. If you're not familiar with Sinaloense style tamales they are usually a red masa (you had red sauce to the masa) and fill it with a pork sauced filling that includes jalapeños, potato and carrot. She also had tamales de elote when we went and man I don't even like elote tamales and I could have ordered a whole dozen instead of just 4 lol They also have authentic Sinaloense food like frijoles de puerco, pan con pelonsio, and a lot more food & desserts. The staff is very slow. They only worry about charging you for your order and don't make sure that you receive your food. There are two separate lines. Each line takes about 30 minutes. I can already imagine how packed this place gets during rush hour. It is small, they are quick, and their flow is efficient. The servers and cashiers are nice. The tamales are my jam here. It smells so good as soon as you walk in and because they serve a lot of pork there is a lot I won't eat but the tamales are enough to keep me coming back.
