Recommended to me by volunteers from Sarah's House Garden. The volunteers weren't lying when they said it's the best clam chowder they've ever tasted. It's got a brown buttery goodness to it. No fishy taste at all. (I won't touch anything with a hint of ocean taste to it) It definitely beats the clam chowder from boudin, Hook Line & Sinker, and other chowders I've had on the westcoast. The yellow lentil soup is also comforting to eat. Careful, because it has salt. Reminds me of the chicken buillon you get with manischewitz Matzoballs. A very nostalgic flavor for me. Had the pleasure of dining here after hearing good things about it from Long Beach locals. The menu is extensive and has every kind of protein imaginable including seafood options and vegan friendly protein. I opted for salmon and although the platter was expensive the item is a good value for the portion size of the fish. Our cashier was very hospitable. We got several cups of water and asked if soda water was free as well. Seemed like it should be extra but he obliged to provide it for free. This place is fire! I ordered to-go and it was torture - I could smell the food on the way home and I could tell they were just got off the grill. I was taken cared of as soon as I entered. That to me was great service. Everything tasted fresh! I became a fan on the first bite. Our chicken kabob, chicken shawarma and ground beef were beautifully marinated. Love the rice! The owner, or was he the manager, was really helpful and deciding what to choose off the menu. It's a sit-down place but feels like a takeout place as well. Good atmosphere, delicious food. A buddy and I opted for the lamb, made two different ways. He opted for the lamb kebab, which was quite a hefty portion, and also a Mediterranean style salad. The salad was great, it's like a chopped iceberg lettuce, with some tomato, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and some onion in the mix. Seasoned with oregano, olive oil come on a dash of vinegar, it's Tangy and refreshing all in one bite. The salad was huge, definitely a huge Bowl full. I got the sliced lamb plate, which also came with hummus and a salad. And some pita bread as well. It's like chipped beef, but lamb. Really tasty, quite flavorful. It's tangy, it's juicy, it's tender and moist. Since it comes with a few Pita breads, I made little mini Gyros, if that's what you want to call them. Spread some hummus in, put in some sliced lamb, and you're good to go. Service was great, both the waiter, and a person who I believe was either the owner or a manager came by to check up on us quite a few times over the course of 45 minutes or so. We took our time, and the outdoor seating was very pleasant this time of year. I think people who would really get the most out of this would be smaller families, and also Travelers passing through the area, like people riding their bicycles or motorcycles. Have been wanting to swing through here for quite a while and finally had my wife pick me up some to go while I was laid up. Order the beef shawarma plate and was NOT disappointed. Staff on the line was extremely welcoming and the serving size was ridiculous! Hopefully my review doesn't cause them to draw down the serving size because it literally was enough for my wife and I. It was honestly the best Mediterranean food I've had since actually visiting the Med. Let me start by saying that I have been going here for over 10 years, so yes this is one of my go to's in the area for Mediterrenean food. I usually get the schwarma plates or beef/salmon kabobs. I used to get their chai when I drank caffeine and loved it. Good /friendly service, not too long of waits. Overall this is a great option and adds variety to the area. My only complaint is that recently the hummus has had a minty/ soapy flavor. I still gobble it down, doesnt stop me but I'm really curious what the recipe includes. I thought maybe it was parsley giving it that minty taste last time I ordered but IDK - anyone else? Just me? read more

I still have the flavors of this café resonating in my mind and on my tongue. I wish this little café in my hometown. The hummus is velvety and smooth. The tabouleh is spiced just right. The lintel soup took me back to my grandmothers split pea soup. Velvety smooth and creamy just the right amount of mediterranean flavors. The inside has nothing to squawk about. It's simple and adequate, but I'll be at rustic. The waitress that waited on us had a bit of an impatient attitude. I think it was because we didn't know what we wanted right away. But with a complement or two she warmed up. And the rest of the meal went just fine. I had a falafel plate. It came with their salad, for falafel croquettes that were crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. It had the hummus and tabouleh. It came with a basket of pitas. My partner had a bowl of lentil soup and sautéed vegetables. And the flavors still remain. When I went up to pay my bill, The owner asked how everything was. He was so proud when I announced how amazingly delicious everything was. He invited me to come back. I think I most definitely will! read more

It's been a while since I'd been here, partly because the shopping center is small and don't often go that way but I was craving Mediterranean food so looked at yelp. I'm glad I did, I wanted to try a salad and their "greek" salad is amazing! Their chicken is also good! I stopped Friday to order again and they were pretty busy so call ahead. They are very friendly and kind. They have a couple tables outside as well and they have a couple tables inside to sit but noticed they do a lot of take out.
