1st time here. Not usually a big fan of "fast" food, but had no time to cook. Food and service was excellent. Chicken Breast bowl and Salmon bowl, with a side of Edamame to go. Everthing was hot, delicious and plentiful. Will visit again. read more

This is for togo ordered Beef and chicken mixed teriyaki and chicken teriyaki. I was surprised that the bag feels super heavy. It was jammed packed with lots of rice. The meat is good amount too but it would be great if its equal ratio. Put that much rice, meat has to be the same too. . Anyway. Meat flavor is very good. I like it. However, the teriyaki sauce on the side is a cheap kind of teriyaki. Dark soy sauce and sugar or whatever but the dark soy sauce is way too heavy. Can smell it and too salty for a teriyaki. Not a fan Veggies are not good too. I got a whole chunk core of the cabbage. Quality check please. Some part of the veggies are raw. While some are good. I guess the veggies were low so they just tossed the raw in and disnt cook well enough before they mixed with the old veggies. Will I come back? Sorry no. Teriyaki sauce is no MVP for me. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars, is that the people that work at the front counter are very nice. The food here is simply not of a high-quality. The flavors are good, but the quality of the meat leaves slowly something to be desired. Very inconsistent, and just not worth the price. We just needed something quick after a long day! We had just left target and decided to give this place a quick try. The server was very kind, and helpful. They were in the process of cleaning when we came in... the bottles were still sticky and the table wasn't wiped down... I ordered the spicy teriyaki since the gal at the register recommended it... and then the noodles.. I normally love spicy but this was over the top spicy... not sure if the cap to the chili peppers popped off but it burned my lips! Went to pick up dinner here and ordered a few bowls... 1 with chicken breast, 1 with extra chicken and the other just normal. The chicken breast one that I paid extra for did not come with chicken breast it had thigh meat, the other bowl did not come with the extra chicken I paid for. We called to speak with the manager and he argued with my husband and then said oh we will have to check the cameras as if we were lying. Absolutely unprofessional of the manager to argue about it. First time at the Simi location and it was good. They serve a good amount and the orange chicken was surprisingly good and I'm not really a fan of orange chicken! Set your employees for success. On My 3 different visits, this is what happen. One cashier and know employee to expedite the order to the waiting customers. She was the only employee in front, taking orders and packaging the orders for the waiting customers. During your peek hours, put another employee to assist your cashier. Lunch time 11-2 usually and Dinner time 5-8 pm. Or by assessing your time frame by using your tools on your POS system, will tell you your busy times. On another occasion your Dining room was to cold. The Teriyaki Chicken had a Good taste, the Chicken was at a room temperature. Going back to the service part a bit. Basic Service issues. Acknowledge the Guest or if busy, I'll be right with you. Just Acknowledge your customers. Smile and greet your customers and at the end a Simple Thank you! New in Simi Valley! Something I need to try. There's a trend in this town that anything new only last for months. Well, on this place I certainly hope not. I was on the way home and decided to try this place. I made an order while passing by Tapo Canyon on the 118. When I came to pick up my order, I was surprised that it was ready. That was fast! Actually, the lady wrapping it up saw me came in and asked my name then she handed it to me. It was nice and hot and somewhat heavy. Got home and first thing came to my mind, is it going to be another teriyaki place? I opened the container tray and I can smell the smokey grilled chicken with aromatics of a good quality teriyaki sauce. It's really the sauce that gave me a lasting experience. It's great! The chicken was savory, smokey, tender and juicy. The calrose Japanese rice was fresh and soft. I read a one or two star review about the rice being mushy and nasty. Obviously, that person never had Japanese rice in their life. The vegetables were cooked just right. They were crunchy and fresh. My chicken teriyaki bowl was amazing! I can finally say, I don't need to go to Gardena, West LA (Sawtelle), Manhattan Beach (Fusion Sushi), Torrance and Rowland Heights (Tokyo Lobby) to have a good teriyaki. The best ones I've ever had was in Tokyo, Japan. Bird land and Tamahide to name a couple. This place is not too far off from them. Give this place a try. I highly recommended! read more

If you're craving something similar to Panda Express, but find their food inedible. Teriyaki Madness is a better quality alternative! Teriyaki Madness is something i've passed many times, but ultimately have never opted to try until a friend suggested it. The location isn't very large, but it's a small shopping center to begin with, so it's great for grabbing a quick nearby lunch or ordering something to-go. Their chicken doesn't taste processed and isn't difficult to digest like their competitors at Panda Express-- I always regret eating there. Portions are more than fair and will definitely leave you full later or saving half for later! The only criticisms i'd give are that I personally feel their sauces need work. They're a bit too sweet and intense, possibly due to too much brown sugar or whatever ingredient they use... something less overbearing or spicy would really help control the flavors. Also while their veggie selection is yummy, I think they'd taste a lot better if sautéed for longer. The broccoli and zucchini in particular sometimes taste on the rawer side from store packaging. Overall, the service is friendly, quick, and good. Pricing and portions are reasonable for the times we're in and definitely worth giving a shot! Hopefully more sauce and extra sautéed options will be available in the future, but I still very much appreciated the meal. Thank you! read more

Never again. Paid $14 for a tiny dried out piece of salmon that was so thin it was crunchy. It wasn't even a solid piece. It had parts missing. Was horrible. There shouldn't be so much liquid at the bottom of the bowl. read more

It's edible but $30 for two bowls is kind of insane for the quality you get. I'm eating mine but my mom isn't eating hers because she's convinced it's not real chicken. I love this place. They have good food. Fried rice is good. Service is good and friendly. But for the love of God.... Please use new or clean the oil you deep fry the food in. My Katsu looking burnt AF... and the batter it's in is dark brown almost to black. I know it's the oil because the chicken is cooked perfectly. Simple but sometimes that is just what you want. Classic combination of rice, meat and veggies. You can customize with brown or white rice, fried rice, noodles. They even have chicken katsu, orange chicken, and salmon. Their pickup process needs major improvement. I watched as bowl after bowl piled up while the person handling the packaging seemed extremely confused. There was no one dining in, yet eight people were waiting for their food, mostly mobile orders. I was quoted 13 minutes on the app, but it took nearly 30 minutes for a single chicken bowl. I waited to leave a review until after a second experience, and unfortunately, this place still falls short. During my first visit, the rice was soggy, and the chicken was full of fat. For the second order, I switched to white meat. While the rice was much better, the white meat surprisingly had more fat than the regular chicken. For a $16 bowl, you're much better off heading down the street to Fire Island. I genuinely don't want to see any new business fail; I want you to succeed, but you're off to a rough start. Simplicity should deliver consistency, but the only thing consistent here is underwhelming bowls. I'm being generous with two stars, but I doubt I'll give this place a third chance. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me (everyone has a bad night, right?). Fool me three times--won't happen. Good luck. This place has always been great from the food to the customer service since it opened. But tonight the service was definitely not good. The flamboyant heavyset white guy with the purple streaks in his hair.... Fire him. Horrible attitude, even worse is his response to asking for half white rice and half fried rice.. he responded "we're only gonna do one" with a rude tone and eye roll. He needs to really be taught some respect or just let him go. I'll take this review down eventually since the foods great and I'm sure he won't be working here much longer with an attitude like that.
