I'm leaving a review mainly to upload recent menu pics from May 2026. I had good food from here. Ordered to go. Very friendly service and clean and cute inside. I hate rice in my burritos and chimichangas, and I know it's ridiculous and petty. I asked for rice on the side of a chimichanga, only when I arrived I was told that wasn't an option. Ok, no big deal. The chimichanga I got was truly beautiful, tasty meat inside. My partner's chicken burrito was good, but assembled horribly. Lost a star for the rice, the burrito assembly, as well as because I really didn't care for the sauce, I was hoping for chunkier salsa, and no chips and salsa in the bag and I really believe chips and salsa can make or break a mex restaurant, I would pay and request for chips and salsa if I knew they didn't come with meal.

Pig Foot in Menudo

Excelencia! Service is very welcoming! I came in first thing on this rainy morning to grub on Menudo and watch the stormy lake. The Atmosphere is warm, the Menudo is flavorful and tripe is a great texture, there's no hominy in it which is my favorite part but it's very well made. I've tried the Birria Tacos a time ago and those were everything I hoped for! When I get them again I'll update the review.

That's a really cute restaurant, and the food was delicious! I'll definitely come back again.

Ali's Kitchen is a gem in Lakeport. Popped in here and was really looking for authentic Mexican food. I found it here in Lake county. Situated across from the park, Ali's appears to be a local favorite. The restaurant's interior was cute. Colorful decor makes you feel you're in Mexico. The family that runs it were really respectful and efficient. Since it was taco Tuesday, I had to have their taco plate. Was glad to hear they had lengua on the menu that day. And boy oh boy, I was glad to have ordered that. They served it with blistered jalapeño and sautéed onions, topped with onions and cilantro. The lengua was tender and was a great bite.

Were burrito. Camerones!! Yum!!

Authentic and so fresh!! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to and I'm a Californian. AMAZING!!

Mexican Food in Lakeport.... lake county's main choices for lunch and dinner is mexican food countywide... our family wishes there were more options...so we have lots of options to compare...We've eaten here 3 times so far...this is in our top 3 choices... prices are reasonable..portions are large...it's in a good location next to the park..next to the lake...taco salad ...wet burrito..chimichanga...enchiladas...authentic..tasty...spicy..I've ordered beef every time and am very pleased. So, when passing thru Lakeport or looking for a fair priced, fresh and ample serving authentic Mexican....give this place a try...you won't be disappointed...ps. drink prices are reasonable too

Carne asada burrito supreme no sour cream

Went here as my friends car was charging at the electric station. I would give the food a 3 1/2 stars instead of a four or three to be honest. the burrito was good. The meat wasn't super flavorful, and neither were the other ingredients however I enjoyed the burrito. Wait a little longer than I expected, but the staff was friendly. The restaurant itself was cute and there was plenty of seating and it's right next to a beautiful lake, they also had a rooftop as well. I will also say I was watching other peoples food come out and the Menudo looked good as well as the margaritas , wish I could've tried something else on the menu - especially the birria.

Best Carne Asada in Lake County

Ali's Kitchen - Lakeport, CA I had the Camarón al Diablo and wow--absolutely incredible. The portion was huge (I couldn't even finish it), and the sauce was next-level. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. Their bean dip is also worth mentioning--authentic and probably some of the best I've ever had. Cynthia had the Carne Asada and was seriously impressed. She said it reminded her of the quality and flavor you'd find in San Diego--so that's saying a lot. This might just be the best Mexican food in Northern California. We'll definitely be back.

Decor is cute inside, staff is nice, food is yummy! Got the birria burrito (pic taken after I ate half already), didn't expect it to come with consomme but so glad it did! Bf got a wet burrito and he enjoyed it. Horchata was fire too!

Enchiladas

Very small seating area but welcoming. The server was sure to get our order in before a large party which was nice. The food was good. The beans were lacking seasoning but we appreciate that they seemed house made. My enchiladas were not lacking in meat and the salsa given to add spice was delicious. Overall we would go back but we would bring cash because there is a 3.5% service fee for using a card. Also, they charge for chips and salsa FYI.

Rooftop deck with seating and tables.

The rooftop deck is a little gem with a beautiful view of the park and lake. The server accommodated my desire to have a keto friendly meal and served me a taco salad without rice beans or tostada shell. The guacamole was the best part of the meal.

The pozole was great just what I was looking for.

Overpriced for the quality of food. Employees are rude and like to make passive aggressive…read morecomments. On more than one occasion I've seen the cooks yelling at each other. Very odd people and behavior. I have only experienced one decent employee who is consistently nice, helpful and offers to signup for the reward points to receive free items. Sadly the town is mostly comprised of these type of people and employees so hardly think things will change.

We ordered breakfast burritos and received the wrong burrito. I tried to call back and could not get through, I ended up calling, and this is sadly not an exaggeration, eleven times before they picked up the phone. The person taking orders was Julius and he was not apologetic when they messed up my burrito the first time, he was even less so when we had to go back for the THIRD time because they had messed it up again. When I called (for the 12th time!) he actually chuckled and seemed to find it funny that the order had been messed up again. He blamed kitchen staff, however when I was there it appeared he continuously gave them the wrong order. They were the only ones who seemed to know what they were doing. We tried to reach out to the Aztec Grill customer service email and have not received any type of response back. Unfortunately solely due to how Julius acted I can not recommend Aztec Grill to anyone, and we used to be frequent visitors.

My partner brought me here for lunch after visiting here a few times. Saw Shop Public House used to…read morebe an actual saw shop. They have used lots of decor in remembrance of the previous business, like the big saw outside and the saw lights. Quaint establishment w/ patio seating, small bar (4 seats), good amount of tables, wooden floors. Greeted immediately with a smile. Menus, utensils and water provided quickly after we sat. Our server shared the special of the day, what wasn't currently available and when asked of his favorite quickly responded with some gems. My partner knew exactly what she wanted - Pineapple Cauliflower Salad22 (Crispy Asian cauliflower, mixed greens, cabbage, carrots, peanuts, crispy rice noodles, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic, pineapple pico, green onions, and edamame with a Basil-lime vinaigrette 1/2 Cauliflower salad). I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The cauliflower looked like orange chicken. This dish is vegan btw. I was torn between the fish and chips and the Jalapeno Bacon burger. The server said it was a favorite earlier so I went with it. (Grilled Short Rib, Brisket, Chuck patty served on a toasted brioche bun with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and onions with our overloaded sauce). Man was this good! The burger was juicy, the thick cuts of bacon and the sauce. Everything complimented one another nicely. They make their ketchup in house throughout the week. You can tell too! It has it's own flavor that outdoes regular ketchup. The fries were crispy, lightly salted and just enough. Service was friendly. We were checked on throughout our meal to ensure the food was good and so were we. They do offer a rewards program we signed up for. This is definitely going to be a go to spot for us. Can't wait to explore the menu!

Great vibes, my friend and I both ordered the honey walnut chicken sandwich -- incredible one of the best things I've had this year. I need to try tore-create it at home just to have it again. I loved the honey sauce and candied walnuts drizzled over the fried chicken. The potato wedges were also amazing, so thick and soft and crispy. Very cozy vibes, such a great atmosphere. The service was amazing the whole night. I will always try to stop here every time I come back to Lake County. When we first sat down, we were starving, and our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, we ordered the poke appetizer and two honey walnut fried chicken sandwiches. Our sandwiches came out before the appetizer but once our sandwiches came, we both realized there was no way we were going to have room too also eat the pokey. We asked our server if he could just cancel the appetizer and we told him it really was no problem because we were enjoying our sandwiches so much. We were already way too full for the appetizer. Our server felt bad about not bringing out the appetizer and instead gave us free dessert even though he really didn't need to--it was so kind. So generous so gracious! We weren't upset about the appetizer not coming out in time; we were glad it happened that way, but he still wanted to make up for it! He didn't even charge us for the appetizer in on our way with a hot brownie and ice cream. Incredible service and I can't wait to come back. Thank you so much, Saw shop public house! Looking forward to trying more food on your menu. See you next time!
