It's been years and I mean years since I've been back. The reason for the 1 star they were out of Crown Royal, Tanqueray they only had enough Jack Daniel for two of us and it was 4 in our party. The other 2 had to drink beer. The bartender was very cool and offer the well drink . Told him that stuff gives me a headache. I'm glad we got there before they charge a $10 cover ! I would have been upset if I paid and you are out those drinks. The manager or owner could have gone to Stater Bros to get liquor! Saw a sign that had $40 for a bucket of beer really $40. This place is disgusting. The owners are all a bunch of rude, pretentious, catty, backstabbing snobs, even though they are broke as a joke. After the doors close, the staff will allow a few people to stay if you are hot, or a huge tipper. I was invited to stay after, which I did. The staff were all getting bombed on multiple different illegal drugs, and alcohol. I didn't stay long, because I don't partake in doing any kind of drugs. One or more of the bartenders is a thief. One night I paid my tab, which was around 50 dollars. The next day I checked my credit card balance online, and I had been charged 300 dollars instead of 50. They decided that they would add a 250 dollar tip onto my check. The tip I had left was 25 dollars. They went ahead and added a zero after it, making it a 250 dollar tip. From what I've heard, this is a common occurrence. The drinks are weak, and the prices are ridiculous. People go into this bar and realize how much they are getting screwed, and decide to leave. They try going over to The Hookup bar, which is just across the street. The Hookup is even worse. The bartenders will stand there and gossip and put down patrons because of their looks, the way they smell, how stupid they are, who they've slept with etc. No joke. Christina is the worst by far. She's as two faced as they come. She is ever so nice to your face. She was talking to one of my friends (which she had no clue they were my friend). My friend came over and told me all the stuff she was saying about me. Don't tell her anything about yourself if she asks! If you're responsible, have a nice car, and have your own house, you're a stuck up snob, and an as# hole if you're not leaving her substantial amounts of money for a tip. She sure didnt complain quickly scooping up 30% or larger tips from me though. I guess she expects to get a hundred dollar tip on your hundred dollar tab. I'm giving two stars because I don't think my image of the place should be ruined by one bartender. But I will state all the facts of my recent visit. I visited the alibi 3/23/25. There was only the bartender and one other gentleman present. My girlfriend and I ordered two cactus cooler shots. The bartender googled the recipe. Mixed/Shots are normally/typically 1.5 oz plus. The shot glass was probably designed to hold 1.5oz. We watched him pour the ingredients into a tumbler, shake it, then short pour the shots at maybe 1 ounce each and charge $10 each. (I specifically remember thinking he must have not made enough hence the short pour and I probably would have let it go) But less than a minute later he says out loud, I made too much, then pours the remainder of the tumblers contents into a a regular 8 oz drink glass. Almost the whole glass. Then he proceeds to give it to the other gentleman at the bar. He mentioned he was new hence having to google the shot recipe. But he needs to know if he makes too much of a shot then proceeds to short pour not knowing any better people but then to proceeds to give the remainder to his buddy, a stranger, etc, that people will notice. read more

The Alibi East definitely has a fun vibe and can be a great night out. The energy is solid, but the high cover charge feels a little steep for what you get. Also, the music could use a bit more variety to keep things lively throughout the night. With just a few tweaks, this place could really shine! read more

The place is great to have q few drinks and enjoy the drag show. Unfortunate the DJ today (Friday) was horrible. We could not dance any of the songs that were being played. The songs changed rhythm each time one after the other. There needs to be consecutive genres and this DJ does not know what he is doing. There was literally no one in the dance floor the whole night for this reason. Please get a DJ that knows how to stick to one genre and plays danceable songs. It was sad to see this place so empty and the DJ just leaving a playlist that played itself without trying to do something for the ambiance or get people to dance when they noticed no one was enjoying the music. read more

First : $10 cover is not worth since their entertainment is very cheap, the drag show is just playing dress up none of them look anything like the Artis they were imitating. It was just regular people lip syncing to the songs. This bar has been around forever and picked up several times by various owners. It's one of my absolute favorite places to go it has all the bells and whistles of a big club but the vibes of a close group of people. The current owners are all cool people of the ones I know and have met. I love that they've not let this place fall into the cracks there is so much history here and hopefully so much more to be made read more

This location is literally located in a residential area, interesting. It's definitely a mix of dive bar and club. All the staff and patrons are friendly. They have amazing and beautiful performers, including gogo dancers. They have an old cash register that does not operate properly and other than that, you can definitely have some fun here. read more

The Alibi East is such a fun spot. I've been there a few times for events and always had the best experience. They make yummy drinks that aren't expensive. The drag show is always so much fun. And the hospitality is remarkable. I was at a different venue for my brothers 30th and ended up falling down a flight of stairs causing me to break my toe (at the time I didn't know it was broken). The after hours spot was at the Alibi East and they gave me ice for my toe so I could continue having fun; which I did. If you are thinking of going to the Alibi East you wont regret it. I went to visit this place alone and I was really impressed! What impressed me the most was that the venue was clean, including a clean bathroom and clean seating areas. Everything was well kept, clean and comfortable which I have to give props for because I can't say the same for other gay bars I have gone to in the past. Recently went to the alibi, bartenders need to be re-trained. Some of them don't use measurements so our drinks were always under poured. The bartenders overcharged the drinks even though it was "happy hour". When we asked them about the happy hour price all they could say was "oh we dont have happy hour today". Even for the beers, they didn't know the happy hour specials. Very limited on beer on tap. Also charging a cover when there are only 5 people inside is ridiculous. read more

I guess they prefer you to order drinks with the original person u ordered with. First time i ordered drinks, i did it with a sweet nice bartender. Second time, i did it with someone else and even tho he asked me whom i had opened the tab with still served me my drinks and found my tab with my first name and first last name. The third time i asked this other bartender... he said he couldnt find my card, gave him my first name and my first last name.... in retrospect i should have given him my whole first name and two last names...., and asked us to wait for the dude i opened the tab with. We did. My colleague suggested to pay for the two beers to get over it but I still wanted my card back because I did not want to go through the whole bs of having report a card missing and pay the fee. So we waited for the bartender i opened the tab with and when he came back I told him what had happened and 3rd bartender came back and asked me and my colleague if I was fine... i never once raised my voice or made a scene but was simply stying facts... and we all looked at each other like wtf and said yes and 3rd bartender says "because im sensing fucking attitude and you need to calm your ass down" and walked Away. We were all baffled at his reaction. "My original bartender" apologized for that reaction and served me the beers I had ordered, found my card and gave me my bill. I assured him I understood and simply signed my bill. I was so baffled that I left my card at the counter. My original bartender came to the patio to find me and give me my card and once again apologized for what had happened. I wished him happy birthday (since he was one of the celebrated bdays on stage) and assured him that i understood shit happens and that i understood it wasnt a reflection of his work. I asked a security guard of there was a manager on site and referred me to the person at the door. I explained the issue as i left and he said he would speak to the bartender who yelled at me about it and that hed hoped to see me next saturday. I work as an organizer in the labor movement so I understand the struggle.. especially cuz ive worked in costumer service and Ive had to endure people who humiliated me and belittled me. Not once did I talk shit about the 3rd bartender. My concern was getting my card back. I patiently waited when he told me he couldnt find my card and all I tried to do was explain the scenario to the bartender I opened the tab with. I find this sort of behavior to be absolutely uncalled for as not only am I paying patron but I also treated all involved parties with respect and patience. It is absolutely ridiculous for me to find myself experiencing this sort of abuse in a space I considered to be a welcoming place. It is ridiculous that I was accused of being a manifestation of the problematic and sexist narrative that women have attitude and are bitches. I feel discriminated against because all other men around me ordering drinks from this person were treated fairly and werent accused of having an "attitude" or told to "calm Their ass down." And if you wanna argue against this occurrence, look at ur surveillance cameras and ask all other witnesses. Bottom line is, in the years ive placed an order from a bartender, server, etc. I have never been spoken To and humiliated publicly like I have tonight. read more
