After being rudely treated at Mulligans, our party decided to move to Alice and Pete's and what a difference! They immediately jumped into action to make us comfortable and welcome! Kyle and other bartender were pros and our waitress Audrey handled our orders with professionalism and great sense of humor. Took a min for our food to come out but you would expect that with a large party. Everything came out perfect and delicious! My colleague and I had dinner at Alice and Pete's Pub at the Marriott and enjoyed it. The hotel resort fee includes drink coupons that can be used here. We both had fish entrees and both were great. Excellent! Came here with my dad for breakfast and it was great. We sat inside with a great view of the water. My dad and I both got a "build your own omelette". It was delicious! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our waitress was Anna, she was awesome, 5-star service! The facility is very clean and has patio seating by the water, as well as indoor seating and bar tables available. There's a billiards table, foosball, and other gaming tables inside. Do not waste your time eating here. There are too many good options in Jacksonville Beach, and in Ponte Vedra. This is one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Service was terrible. We waited forever for drinks, and then again for our food and, finally, for our check. We were there for over two hours and our order was not complicated. When our food finally arrived, the items were cold, and everything was basically inedible. Server was kind, but did not know what he was doing. The manager was a complete jerk... I'm not sure how to review this - I had meh expectations based on previous reviews. I had some drink tickets so I scored a few freebie vodka sodas (well vodka, which I can tolerate more than well bourbon). The turkey club came out fast and honestly looked pretty good. Bread was nicely toasted and buttered and the fries weren't shoestring which is already winning in my book. I also like the sweet gherkin touch on the top of the sandwich. Sandwich was surprisingly good, nice mix of avo/guacamole spread, bacon, turkey and some yummy flavored mayo stuff. Really solid for a decent price in my opinion. Was it the best meal ever? Maybe not. But it was pretty darn good, came quick and definitely worth leaving your room for. I am not travel here for the sandwich or the restaurant proper but if I stayed again I'd be more than happy to have this sandwich again! read more

I had three meals in Aiice & Pete's Pub during a recent stay at the Sawgrass Marriott - and a number of Ales. First day upon arrival I was starving - had a late lunch in here - ordered the Minorcan Fish Stew and the Mahi Salad. The Minorcan Fish Stew is a spicy, tomato based seafood stew - and it was amazing! So damn tasty and delicious! I could have eaten a gallon of this stuff! The Mahi Salad consisted of greens, fennel, tomatoes, onions, carrots, and more - with a lime vinaigrette - topped with a nicely grilled piece of Mahi - darn good! For dinner one evening, I had a Burger with Bacon, cheddar, tomatoe, lettuce, onion (no bun - low carb) and an order of waffle fries served in a mini fry basket - with a side of their Remoulade sauce - which was amazing! For dinner the next evening - I had them modify a menu item - I had them make me a platter of Nachos - with pulled pork, fresh chopped jalapeños, melted cheese, sour cream, a side of Guacamole - it was damn delicious! They carry a couple of local Ales - a Pale Ale and an IPA: People's Pale Ale (Intuition Ale Works, Jacksonville, FL) Head High IPA (Green Room Brewing, Jacksonville Beach, FL) I had four of the People's Pale Ale during my stay - an ousting Pale Ale! Crisp, hoppy, and nicely balanced! I also sampled the Head High IPA one evening - more citrusy than the Pale Ale, and very hoppy, with a bitter finish. Last night I was there - I had a rather ordinary Bloody Mary. No garnish other than a lime wedge. I think even a basic Bloody Mary should include a celery stalk and a couple of olives, in addition to the lime wedge. Service was always good. Alice & Pete's Pub is a cliché hotel restaurant which serves overpriced mediocre food. You essentially pay for the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. Since I was staying at the hotel and was on a tight schedule, I did stop in for lunch on a couple occasions and tried the First Coast Mahi Tacos and the BBQ Beef Brisket Sliders. The tacos were disappointing. The "soft" taco shells seemed like they were getting a bit stale and the fish was dry and flavorless. The avocado mash that topped the tacos was the only thing that represented flavor on the dish. The sliders were a little better with shredded beef, BBQ sauce and crispy coleslaw but still pretty average. I did enjoy the pub's half priced draft beer happy hour (4 to 7pm) that featured some local craft brews. read more

Very good pub for a quick bit and drink Stopped in before heading to the airport for my flight. Was greeted warmly, took a table and seat, gave my order, and had my Arnold Palmer on the table in about five minutes. Food arrived less than ten minutes after than. And when I asked for the check so I could leave quickly, the waitress handed it to me two minutes later. She even brought a to-go Arnie for me to take with me. The Shock top beer was good, it came chilled wth a slice of orange. The Mark West Pinot was tasty and we wanted more than one. The Coastal Fish sandwich was Mahi with a sweet/spicy sauce. We enjoy sitting outside watching guys try to hit golf balls onto the little island green out on the lake so they can get free drinks (or free night at hotel if they get a hole in one so I heard) Pool table, wii, shuffle board and other fun things to do.
