I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. The decor was really cool, colorful and full of murals and artwork of...you guessed it: aliens! Music played and was upbeat and trendy. Amar was our server and was very helpful with menu suggestions. We ordered the Ramen birria bowl with a side birria taco and a jalapeño margarita for me. The beef was so tender! This was topped with pickled jalapeños, corn, cilantro and sooo much flavor! I will definitely return for a few other interesting items on the menu! It was "outta this world"!

Tried Alien Taco Bar and it's such a fun spot The food is really good not super traditional, but more of a creative twist and everything we've had has been delicious. The vibe is what makes it though. Colorful, fun aesthetic, and the night we went they even had a DJ. It's honestly become one of my favorite Sunday spots after a long week good tacos, good energy, and an easy place to just hang and unwind.

Stopped in for dinner when visiting my bestie for her birthday. The place is super cute and the food was good! The drinks were very tasty! The staff was efficient and friendly! Ps the bathroom is super fun!

So disappointing. The atmosphere is pretty cool, even for those of us who aren't into aliens, but the service was terrible and the food was subpar. It looked absolutely delicious when it was served, but neither of us were happy with the taste. Aside from the chewy taco salad bowl, I can't really describe why it wasn't good other than it just didn't hit. Speaking of not hitting, our server barely checked on us. I had to go to the bar to tell her that we needed refills and that the taco salad was missing the chicken. Never mind the fact that one meal came out a good 5 minutes after the first meal came to the table. We will absolutely not be back.

We have visited Alien Taco a few times and every single time they have delivered great service, amazing food, and fantastic margaritas. I have tried various dishes every time and they are all tasty. This quesadilla was GIANT. the empanadas are so good. Sorry I didn't grab pics of everything. The guac is fresh and zesty. The alien theme is throughout the restaurant, even the bathrooms. So very fun environment.

Shrimp burrito - enough for 2 meals!

Loved my dinner at Alien Taco on Sat night (and even loved my leftovers today lol!) Their cobless street corn is my favorite - love the charred corn and all the spices. Also enjoyed heaps of queso and chips cuz it was my birthday weekend haha. Ordered my fav meal- the shrimp burrito- such a huge portion I had 2 dinners. Lastly Alien Taco overheard it was my bday weekend and surprised me with a dessert plate - complete with an alien figurine

Alien Taco is one of those places that's less about the food and more about the experience. I came here for a girls' night. Our waiter deserves all the shoutouts, he not only kept the drinks flowing but even brought us shots and took one with us. That kind of energy instantly turned the night into a party. There was a live singer (so talented!), who had folks dancing. This place reminds me of a pregame spot I'd go in my 20s before the club. The drinks were decent, but the food was just mehhh. Honestly, I wouldn't go back for the menu. But if you're looking for a spot that guarantees laughs, music, and an entertaining night out after 8pm, Alien Taco is definitely the place.

So excited for the Astro surf and turf and the mahi tacos!!!

Stopped into Alien taco for the first time and I was impressed! I would categorize the price as maybe mid-tier expensive but I think the meal was worth it. I got the 2 taco meal and my friend got the 3 taco meal. Our meals came with 2 sides and plantains which was the perfect size for lunch. We each ordered different tacos so after I got to taste 5 different tacos, I can say with certainty that they have a fresh and delicious selection. Each one was very different and very delicious. Service was friendly and we were seated immediately with waters swiftly brought to the table. We had a couple questions about the menu and our waiter was good at providing helpful information. The inside of this place is so the vibe. Aside from the fun party you can have in the bathroom...which seems like a weird comment but...you just have to go in order to get what I'm talking about lol - the inside of the restaurant is fun, kooky, and colorful. Its this odd juxtaposition of modern casual dining and aliens-live-amongst-us. Anyway, I recommend stopping in, it was delicious and I think they have drink specials for happy hour.

Wow how does this place not have better reviews?! It was very packed when I came and the service by our waitress( Chelsea) was still great! She was attentive and very kind! The happy hour is the coolest thing and keeps it very affordable ! It was pretty loud and fun with lots of jags blue all around! Tons of seating! The food was great! I love their salsa and the queso was delish ! I could have drank it! The pork belly taco was super flavorful and delish and the loaded fries were amazing as well ! The margaritas were great just slightly watered down could use less ice but i loved them all!

The old JJ's Bistro converted into a taco joint. I like it. The place was hopping and by the end of our night it was packed. Our server was fantastic, made great recommendations, and had fun with us. Her friend and I split the Blistered Empanadas (Choose from Seasoned Beef or Chipotle Chicken (both with cheese). Braised with Peppers and Onions. Paired with Ranchero Dunking Sauce and Avocado ranch). There were 3 so we each had 1.5 and we chose the chicken option. These were pretty tasty but I prefer more cheesiness in mine and olives, okay maybe I'm partial to my man's empanadas. My entree was the Lunar Lamb Quesabirria (Tender Lamb Roast, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Garlic, Shredded Cheese, Cilantro and Avocado Crema. Served with a Consomme From the Spicy Beef Birria). These were not greasy or gamey as you'd think they would be. I think I would have liked to try the quesabirria with lamb consomme instead of beef but maybe beef is familiar and lamb would be too strong for some. The onions and cilantro along with the crema was copious and kept the tacos moist and flavorful. I also had two margaritas. Even though it was Friday and I was going to get the $5.55 Margaritas but I was talked into getting the Jalapeño Meteorite Margarita (Blanco Tequila, Orange Liqueur, Agave Nectar, Citrus Juice Mix. and later I got the Prickly Pear one. These were huge and very tasty. Our table was next to the area were they have live music and unfortunately a speaker was placed right near our table. While the music was good it was loud and we did have to raise our voices to be heard. We moved outside so we could talk and ended up getting some more shots. One I remember was the Alien Blood (Lemon Infused Vodka, Illuminated with Florescent Mystery Goo) Never found out what the goo was but it was very strong and required some water afterwards.

We went to play music bingo and holy moly it was crowded. If you ever decide to go for this, get there early. We were there about an hour before hand and told there were no tables available, so we sat at the bar. One neat thing they had was a stock market type thing for happy hour pricing, based on demand. One bummer thing was that after happy hour a Corona was basically $7. The food is also quite pricey for fairly mediocre food. I had chicken earthling taco. The chicken was pretty plain, and the shells tasted like grease. Beans and rice and plantains were better, but none of that was worth the price. The service was ok. And the restaurant itself was cool atmosphere. I might go back for a happy hour eventually, and see what's affordable according to demand, but certainly won't make it a regular place.

Dropped a bit this time, 3.75. Let me start by saying we normally have good food and a good time here. It was busier than when we are normally there, but still seated right away. Nice server. Group of 6 made up of kids and adults this time. Drinks- Boba (ok) and side for the kids, margaritas for the adults: spicy (super spicy), pear (yum). Food- All ordered the normal array of tacos and enjoyed outside of the kids with chicken tenders- food serving size. Reason I was slightly disappointed this time is that my fish taco tasted not so fresh- a bit fishier than normal which made me leave it on the plate. Their surf and turf was good and the corn was great as always. Will be back again.

The vibe in the restaurant is fun. The guacamole was one of the best I've had, very fresh and a large portion. The spicy birria tacos were so yummy, definitely be back to get those again

I ordered the lunch chimichanga and it was still the size of most dinner platters. It was delicious along with the rice and beans that came on this side. The guacamole was amazing as well. There is also a salsa bar where you can get any level of heat. All of them are great. Tequilas is one of two Mexican restaurants I frequent and they are excellent. Upon being shown to our booth, the floor by the table we were seated at was extremely slippery. At first I thought it was due to a fresh mopping and they had just forgotten a sign, but it stayed extremely hard to navigate the entire meal. Let's get into the highlights: some of the freshest table side guacamole I've ever had. Made right in front of you and you get a ton for what you pay for. My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.

Word to the wise because they have an open kitchen, if you run hot be sure to dress appropriately. It gets pretty warm in there. The pizza was delicious. I loved the combo of blue cheese and sweet figs. The meatballs were flavorful and the sauce was really good. I liked the bread plate, just wish there were more dipping options. For dinner we all ordered the strip with the truffle fries and the peppercorn sauce. We really enjoyed the steak, but I liked the one with bernaise better. The steaks were all cooked to our liking. I'd definitely return if I'm sent to Jacksonville for work, and would recommend for anyone living or visiting in the area.

We had high hopes for this spot. I know they claim their pasta is made fresh in house but didn't…read moretaste like any freshly made pasta I've ever had. Thick chewy noodles that stuck together. The Alfredo sauce was flavorless, watery and just all around awful. Soggy bland chicken parm. I even tried my friend's Lugo and he said it tasted like a boxed meal. To top it off the meatballs did not taste homemade and the table swore they were premade frozen. Sadly most of the party we were with didn't enjoy their meals but we were there for a birthday and all decided to keep it to ourselves. It wasn't a busy night and our poor server seemed all on her own for the most part. Dishes piled up and expected someone to come help her clear for the party or refill drinks. She did the best she could. The only redeemable dish is the pizza. The godfather pizza was great with crispy edges and full of flavor. Please just stick to pizza! Pleaaaaassssseeeee The food photographs well but oof I couldn't even eat my dish.
