I hired Dales pool in mount Washington, ky to install an inground pool with liner in the year 2022…read more Unfortunately,the pool has leaked since the first year it was installed. Over the next 3 years, the company repeatedly denied it was leaking, despite patching the liner multiple times. Each season the leak became worse. Eventually, the company told us to obtain a third party evaluation and stated they would pay for that. We had two separate pool professionals inspect the pool, and both immediately identified that the liner had been installed with a wrinkle under the main drain and that the drain gasket screws were stripped. After we reported these findings, Dales pools drained the Pool themselves and applied sealant around the drain, but the pool continued to leak. In the fall of 2025, Brandon , the son, admitted he could not stop the leak and agreed to replace the the liner in the spring of 2026. When spring arrived ,we were told by Corey, the father, they would no longer honor the repair because "someone else drained the pool" even though their own company had drained it during prior repair attempts. We are now facing approximately $7,500 in repairs due to what multiple professionals identified as a faulty install. It was all sunshine and rainbows until it came time for them to honor their word. Then we were ghosted. They will not respond to any communication attempts.

We had previously used two different, smaller, local pool services and had found several issues with over-selling of products and overall poor maintenance. We switched to Suntime Pools and have been VERY happy. They are certainly not the cheapest service in town, but pool Owners understand that relatively nothing is cheap with a pool and it takes constant attention to keep them operating well. Several things that I really like about Suntime all start with the people - quality, friendly, professional and very responsive to our needs. I have met several people, most of whom come every time to service our pool, and each one has been a stand-out. They are awesome with communication too. I prefer to use email and they are super responsive that they truly make everything easy and no-hassle. They will allow you to pick as much or as little involvement with the service needs as you like. I personally allow them to open, and close the pool and then they do a bi-monthly service for us. They use their chemicals and can also allow you to supply them. Great people, great service! Definitely a Win-Win!

My parents joked that I was like a fish. I was on the swim team as a kiddo and then again in high school. My first job was as a lifeguard, and then a swim instructor. During college I volunteered as a swim coach. The water just calls to me. A few years ago, I returned to my first love: lap swimming. Then, like everything else in the world during the pandemic, my local pool shut down. I was devastated. When it finally opened back up, the hours were awful, and lane priority was given to Lakeside kids who weren't following social distancing standards for the time. The public pool started to feel gross to me. I love swimming, but was over sharing space with the public. I had always wanted a pool of my very own. People that know me well know that I am very frugal. I love a really good deal and will price compare until the cows come home, as they say. But, I'm also a big fan of a treat yo self! So when I do make a purchase, is well researched and quite frankly, top-of-the-line. If I'm going to spend money on it, I want to be the best. In 2020 when the market fell, it was finally feasible for me to put in my own pool. Admittedly, it's really bougie. It's an inground, 37' fiberglass, heated pool with the newest water filtering technology, and an auto cover. It is my own personal oasis. The ozonator technology I purchased was so new in residential spaces, that the company that installed my pool really had no idea how to get the water right on the system. I didn't trust them after a long and frustrating installation, so I turned to SunTime Pools for help. Best decision ever. Suntime knows pools. They only deal with inground pools, and though they were not as familiar with the ozonator, they took the time to research and figure out what my pool really needed. Now, I turn to them as not only my water balance experts who test my water for free any time I bring a sample by the store, but also as the exclusive opener and closer of my pool each year. The in-store service is exceptional. Even when they are busy, they are friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to help you get exactly what you need. The products are certainly pricey, but that is the reality of owning a pool. Every Winter, typically in February, they have their winter sale. It saves you about 15% off. They make sure you know the sale is on, even sending postcards to your house. I go ahead and purchase all the chemicals I will need for my opening and closing that year to take advantage of the discount; they encourage that and are more than happy pick out the products for me. They even review your purchases the last season to best predict how much you'll use this season. When you have your water tested, or run by to buy additional chemicals, they not only walk to the shelf to gather the products for you, but they print out a very detailed chemical test and provide you with very clear written instructions on what to add, how much to add, when and where to add it, etc. I have ADHD and it's very easy for me to forget or confuse details, so I am so appreciative of this! When I get home I know exactly what to do.. and if I get confused, I can send them a text and they'll walk me through it. As a customer, their communication is wonderful beyond the limits of the store. They will email and text things like, "hi. The weather is going to be below freezing this week. Make sure that your pump is running properly to ensure your pipes don't freeze." Or "hi. You haven't scheduled your pool closing yet. Our schedule is starting to get full, and we want to make sure you have a spot reserved. Here's a link to the sign-up. This year, we are only excepting return customers to ensure that we can meet your needs." They will also text you as your appointments come up. They'll let you know the date and time and give you instructions on what to leave out if you're not going to be home. The staff they send to your home are always very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and diligent in their work. I've never once worried about giving them access to my backyard, or the code to open the pool if I'm not home. I trust them implicitly. They are truly just wonderful. If you are an inground pool owner, I honestly would not recommend anyone else in town. SunTime has earned my business and trust for life. All right, I'll stop gushing about how wonderful they are. Usually I'd have some poolside homework before they open my pool in a few weeks, but today they said my water was perfect. "Do nothing", they said. I'm headed home with my chemicals for the year and look forward to seeing them at the end of March. Thank you Suntime Pools!

We thought we needed a new liner. That would have been a few thousand dollars, but they quickly explained that no- we did not need a new liner. In fact, ours will be good for years. It just needed a few spots fitted back in place. I take my water weekly to be tested -which is free, and this whole summer I have only had to spend about 125 dollars on chemicals. They have never tried to sale me items I didn't need. I did a pool school class with them at the beginning of the summer and the gentleman who did it was wonderful and even had me record it so that I can replay it any time I need a refresher. The ladies in the Shelbyville Rd location are wonderful! They are very sweet and knowledgeable. They can answer any questions you might have. So, in summary, if you want a honest pool company that won't try to sell you items you don't need. This is the company for you.

I would love to give a 0-star review if possible…read more I contracted YayVisions to install an in-ground basketball goal, including excavation, concrete work, and assembly. The manufacturer specified that the installation required a 20" x 20" x 48" deep footing using 22 bags of concrete. I reviewed these requirements with the contractor beforehand, and they assured me the installation would meet the manufacturer's specifications. When work began, they had only dug approximately a 2-foot-deep hole before I needed to leave. Prior to leaving, I specifically reconfirmed that they would continue to the full 4-foot depth, and they confirmed they would. About five minutes after leaving, I checked my security camera and saw they had already begun pouring dry concrete into the hole. I immediately contacted them, and they claimed they had already dug the hole to 4-5 feet deep. Given the timeline, that explanation was clearly questionable. They then sprayed water into the hole, set the anchor plate, and left shortly afterward. When I returned home and inspected the work, it was apparent the installation had not been completed according to the manufacturer's specifications (the footing wasn't even square and the anchor plate wasn't anywhere close to centered). Before escalating the issue, I independently evaluated the work by calculating the approximate footing volume based on both the amount of concrete used and the volume of excavated dirt. Both calculations indicated the hole was likely only around 2 feet deep. I contacted the goal manufacturer, Mega Slam, and they advised me to first give YayVisions the opportunity to correct the issue. Unfortunately, instead of addressing the concerns, the company repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. They stated they used only 8 bags of concrete and claimed that amount was sufficient, despite the manufacturer explicitly requiring 22 bags due to the size and weight of the basketball goal. The manufacturer confirmed the installation was inadequate and could create a serious safety hazard, including the possibility of the goal failing or tipping over. Ultimately, I hired another contractor to remove the original concrete and reinstall the footing correctly. This process also confirmed the original installation was significantly undersized. The actual hole measured approximately 13" x 17" x 25" deep and tapered to a point at the bottom -- far from the required 20" x 20" x 48" square footing specified by the manufacturer. I've attached photos so others can evaluate the workmanship for themselves. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The work did not meet manufacturer specifications, required complete replacement, would have resulted in a serious safety risk if not corrected, and raised serious concerns about both workmanship and honesty throughout the process.
