Rude receptionist and doesn't follow up on returning calls and information about pending job or repairs

It took them 2 weeks to replace an Insinkerator garbage disposal under warranty, and the technician installing the new one refused to wear a mask while in our apartment, risking giving me COVID-19 and possibly killing me. He also refused to leave the new disposal (for us to get installed by a plumber) and would not promise that another tech could show up soon to install it. I advise avoiding this company unless you have no other choice. read more

Extremely poor customer service. Treat you like their time is more valuable then theirs. The woman that answers the phone is extremely rude. She seriously does not deserve to have a job. I was without a dryer for 4 months! Larry, the technician, was pleasant to deal with. My dryer was only 4 1/2 years old so I went the repair route. Bad mistake. $366 later and multiple parts ordered and installed I decided to cut my losses. Bought a new dryer. read more

Home depot frigidaire went so they told me All Appliance would arrive 2 days later between 8am and 5pm. Well on the day they were to arrive I called All Appliance at 11AM, they said, " Oh, we do not have a phone number just an 800 number. You'll have to get a new reservation..." And that new reservation date was to be 14 days from the call. When I balked, the employee at All Appliance hung up. Now a good co. noting a mistake 800 number is not a residence would contact me and or Home depot for it. Waste of time and money. The encounter was no more than 10 minutes. When the technician reached my home, he took a look at my oven. After looking at it, without removing or opening anything, he stated the thermometer we frozen. He then stated that my oven was an older model and he doubts they were gonna be able to find the piece and fix it. He then proceeded to charge me 90 dollars for coming out. SMH. Could've saved me a lot of time and money if the appointment setter ask me for the brand and age of my oven. SMH. read more

I am shocked that this company is still in business. Hired them to repair a fridge. They came out diagnosed it and took them 4 weeks to repair it. Still not working. When I called back they had the manufacturer call me directly who said the company repaired the wrong part that likely was not broken. When I called back to ask for it fixed I was yelled at by the secretary and tech and told they don't repair this brand of fridge at all (never disclosed... Btw look at the name of the company- ALL appliance repair). I am disgusted by there lack of knowledge, willingness to take advantage of a customer and most of all not following thru in repairing an item after the already collected hundreds of dollars. read more

Wow what a bunch of crooks!!! If you just call them once they hook you. All appliance suggested we give them serial number so they can order two door springs. For Bosch dishwasher. They advised us that when parts come in we can schedule appt for service. It's only been less than 48 hours. Now Dishwasher reporting pump or filter malfunction so we decided to buy a new dishwasher snd informed all appliance of same. Again not even 48 hours had passed. There was no scheduled repair appointment yet which leads us to conclude that the parts weren't even sent to them yet. Now the very crude, rude and offensive receptionist is demanding a restocking fee AND a service call fee. They didn't even call to report receiving the parts. They never made an appointment to come out to our home so no service at all was given by them. This sham of a business should be investigated by the mercer county prosecutor's office, NJAC state consumer affairs and the BBB. Do not even call these scam artists! read more

We gave up and replaced our stacked washer/dryer after wasting $550 on repairs to the dryer alone. First it was one part for $250. Then on the day of the visit, they called and said that part wasn't sufficient, and we needed to spend another $300. We reluctantly agreed. The dryer worked for two weeks, then failed. The diagnosis this time was three new parts, one of which they had replaced two weeks earlier, so it was no charge. But the other two parts, including labor, would be$500. How can they advise anyone put over $1000 into a dryer?? There just aren't that many parts!! I believe they were replacing parts without knowing what was needed, and possibly damaged other parts in the process. We have an identical stacked washer/dryer at our shore house, and when it needs a belt or something, it's a reliable, reasonably priced job from a experienced repairman at that location. I am writing about an excellent experience with Mike from All Appliance Repair in Pennington NJ. This is my 3 Rd time using them and the service is always above and beyond. Not only did Mike diagnose correctly on the repair..he gave additional info rmation that will help us to run our washer more efficiently. As well as other pointers that I did not receive ever from the manufacturer directly after calling over the years ‼ He was professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. This business sucks. I called them to fix my washer because the drum kept slipping in the spin cycle. The guy came out, claimed he fixed it, and I paid him. Next time I did wash, it was still happening. So I called them, and they send the guy again. He still didn't fix it. So I told them I wanted my money back, and they wouldn't give it to me! The absolute worst! I ordered the parts that AAR asked me to order directly from Bosch, as they offered me 50% off due to the newness of the refrigerator. I can't understand the negative reviews. We have a freezer that was having problems, we initially contacted the service department of the Big Store Chain that we bought it from. The "technician" came out and said the cheapest option was $450 worth of repairs unless we bought an annual service contract. Good bye, get out... We then had All Appliance come in, on the same day I called. The technician Larry quickly located and resolved the problem. All said and done for less than $150. He was very professional, polite, and knew what he was doing. I'll be using these guys again. read more

I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED YELP FIRST Overall they are ok, have used them a couple times, but I did have some trouble with a clothes dryer repair on my last service call. Called for an appointment to have a technician check a poorly functioning, but fairly new LG clothes dryer. Initial visit and diagnosis was fine. Needed two parts, 1 was broken and the other part was recommended by the technician as preventative maintenance. They had neither part in stock so they promised to order and reschedule for an install when parts come in. Fast forward 1 week. Parts are in, appointment scheduled, technician shows up. During the replacement he realizes they ordered the correct part to replace the broken one. But ordered the incorrect part to replace the preventative maintenance part. Ok, fine, so I say replace the broken part and skip the preventative maintenance part, we can reschedule another time. Technician refuses, states something about how that is not how All Appliance Repair works and leaves the house without doing either the repair or preventative maintenance...huh? Crazy right? Not sure he realizes that 1. AAR screwed up the parts order. 2. Wasted my time scheduling the appointment without proper preparation and ultimately refusing to do the repair and 3. not really doing me any favors by making me wait another week before I can dry clothes. We were referred to All Appliance by the manufacturer of our dryer. The tech came and basically determined after a few seconds that a valve needed to be replaced. When the office person called to give us the estimate for the remainder of the work, she became absolutely rude and condescending when there was a disagreement about the part covered under warranty and what was already paid during the initial visit. Disagreements happen but her handling of the issue was absolutely unprofessional. I will not be giving this place my business ever again. read more

Beware of this dishonest business. They are scam artists and I have reported them to the BBB! Do not use them under any circumstances!!! Our 5 yr old GE profile dishwasher was not draining and was flooding the kitchen floor. The service technician they sent was not very friendly and he did not pull out the machine to examine it. He opened the door and took out the filters to look for clogs which I had already done prior to his arrival. I mentioned this to him but got no response back. He then miraculously decided that it must be the pump and hose charged me 90.00 to look at it and went on his way. This was the first week of July 2020. We were then informed that the pump was on back order and wouldn't be in for a few weeks ok no problem, we thought. Yes it was a huge problem! Long story short we dealt with that "rude office person" everyone seems to have mentioned in their reviews, on a weekly basis for 6 months!!! She kept telling us it was coming it would be in soon and "don't worry we will have it by the end of the week" The only reason we kept waiting and hoping was that we were told that this was a result of the pandemic and it was very difficult to get the part because it was "GE". We should have figured out by then that they were B S...ing us. We gave our weekly call in November and wow, magic, the pump had just arrived that day! The same guy came to install the parts and within minutes told me he couldn't do the installation because he needed another part that he didn't have w him. I was furious! He came back the following week to complete the installation. He ran the dishwasher charged me 229.00 dollars for a new pump and new hose and and proceeded to leave. Thirty minutes later...giant flood!! We ended up calling GE and had them service it. Technician pulled out dishwasher and told us it was the pump. When I explained that it could not be, because the pump and hose were brand new he removed them to show me quite to the contrary that they were the original parts and had never been replaced!!! I felt so foolish to have been taken by this company and to have waited half the year for a part that obviously never came! All appliance repair should be ashamed of the way that they do business! How they sleep at night is a mystery to me because it's obvious from the reviews that I'm not the first and certainly won't be the last to be ripped off by their shady business practices!! We've relied on the all appliance team for years for all of our appliance problem solving. Recently they came out to check out our dryer (17 yrs old) and ice maker (2 yrs old). They fixed what they could (ice maker), and advised us on how we should manage the next stage (dryer). They are fair, honest, and have obvious insight into the reliability of these appliances, especially on what to buy vs not. I go back to them with great confidence with every appliance issue I have. read more

My family has been using All Appliance Repair for over 25 years for our 5 homes (Mom & Dad's & 4 kids') and for an 8 unit apartment building I own. That's a lot of appliances. One needs to understand that diagnosing and repairing these increasingly complicated machines is not an exact science; sometimes the first effort doesn't yield the solution and waiting till another part comes in can be frustrating. That said, All Appliance always stand behind their work; provides very frank advice on whether it's worthwhile to repair or move on to something new; and they show up when they say they're going to. Cheats. I had 2 liars come out and tell me I need my whole ice system changed in my refrigerator. They pushed on a button and lied about what it did and indicated. They quoted me over $300 to have the item fixed. Sears unclogged the frozen tube for $60. That was all that was wrong. Nothing needed replacing. Dishonest and/or incompetent. They told me my drier's motor is broken. It wasn't. Then they said my warranty was expired. It wasn't. They probably were hoping to make quick 500 bucks off of me. At least they could have disconnected the motor, so when I turn the machine it will not work. Or they were hoping I will just say "Fix it" and will never know. Also 2 years ago installed a washing machine and it stopped working same evening- bad power connection. I fixed it myself, but perhaps they were hoping for some more easy money from me, since installation problems are not covered by the warranty. Never even consider calling these people. read more

This is the worse appliance company I have ever worked with. The "tech" came out to look at our dishwasher. Within 5 minutes he apparently diagnosed the problem but refused to pull out the dishwasher because he felt we had a mouse problem. We had an exterminator come out to check and no signs of any mice. All Appliance returned with the parts in twice the time as they promised which took about two weeks or more. They installed the parts and ran the dishwasher. One day later the dishwasher stop working again with the same symptoms prior to is calling All Appliance. It took them another week or better to come out. After their third visit they still did not fix the problem. We ended up having to buy a new dishwasher. After disputing with the company about their poor quality work and not having our dishwasher for weeks, all they kept stating is that the mice are eating the water supply hoses and that's why our dishwasher wasn't working. Wouldn't you think we would have a water leak in our basement if we had a mouse and it ate through a water supply hose? I certainly think there would have been a leaking and water damage. Beware, this company has a tech that knows nothing about dishwashers and most likely (opinion stated) nothing much more on other appliances. As a business owner myself, we take great pride in our work and customer service has always been our number one goal. We defiantly chose the wrong company to help us out when hiring All Appliance. read more

This company used to be good. NO MORE. I called them to repair my washing machine because it was dripping a little bit from the top. They sent someone who checked it and said it needed a new valve. So, they ordered the valve and after a few days two technicians came to install it. They left declaring that the machine was working properly. I tried it with one load, it worked. When I put the second load, the machine stopped spinning. I called them, they sent the same guy the next day who declared that the motor burned and he can give us a price on a new motor. We refused his offer and decided to buy a new machine. All I know is that I had a working washing machine until these people came to change the valve, which is supposed to be a simple job. Had a consistent drip in washing machine where hot water hose connected. Charged $80 for diagnostic call, where we were told we need a $93 part. When it was installed next visit the total for the part and installation came to $153. So now we're at $233, but when they leave the washing machine is still leaking. We call and they come back. Didn't need the $93 part-- just a new hose. How do they make good for 10 days of leaking washing machine? They don't charge us the $46 for the hose and installation. So we paid $233 for a $100 total charge that should have been fixed at the first visit. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for help. read more

You really can't be both incompetent, lazy AND dishonest and still get my business. I called them to schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment, no one called, no one showed up. After waiting a few hours, I called and they had no record of me. Fortunately they fit me in and came out. It took 5 minutes and they said I needed a part. A week went by without any word. So I called and the guy said the part hadn't arrived. He told me they would call me when it arrived. Being that they hadn't inspired much confidence, I called again a week after that. After being put on hold for a very long time, I ended up with a woman who insisted she had called me the very next day after the service appointment to tell me about the cost of the part and labor. And she quoted an exorbitant amount for the parts and labor. She wasn't very nice about it either when I told her I never got the message and that I had called and been told the part was on its way. Why would I call the office twice if I had gotten her call? And why would the first person I spoke to a week after the call not tell me that the part had to be ordered and they were waiting for my approval? And why did the first guy I spoke to tell me the part hadn't arrived? Utter incompetence. So then I start googling the part she mentioned I needed. The company basically wants to replace the entire module which she said costs $160 plus labor "depending on how long it takes". Well, there are various parts to it that cost about $20-30. And just from youtube videos on ice dispensers, I can tell they didn't perform any of the tests they should have performed or could have performed to see what the actual issue could be. That's the least they could have done for having charged me $80 for a visit! This tells me they are lazy and dishonest and would rather just buy an expensive part and install it at very high labor than actually save me money and just fix what needs to be fixed. They are dishonest because they took my money and didn't perform the basic troubleshooting that they should have! I will not send them any more business. read more

Called them in June 2015 to repair Eletrolux fridge/freezer that was purchased 10/2014. Ice maker freezing solid and frost building in freezer. They came out said freezer door not aligned properly. Aligned and left and said to give it 24 for ice maker. I did, no ice, more frost. Back out 2 more times in July and August. September they said new mother board needed and ordered. Came in Oct 5, 3 days after warranty expired, told me over $800 or call company and extend contract for $600 which I did. Installed mother board and guess what? Still no ice and frost builds up in freezer like snow every night! Dealing with Electrolux directly right now. Do not use this company! read more

The receptionist Janette is very rude, disrespectful, combative, condescending, lacks respect, compassion, and the epitome of unprofessionalism. I have a home warranty contract that uses this company for repairs. All repair was sent to my home to diagnoise a problem that my freezer was not freezing and the ice maker was no longer making ice. The technician just took a look and said it's the fan and had to order the part. Would take 10-14 business days. I had to buy a upright freezer in the interim. He came back and installed the new part and told me the ice maker should work in 24-48 hrs. If not call back. It never started working so I called back and they sent a different technician. He assessed that the fan they installed was faulty. Had to order a new fan. Came back and installed the new fan. Told the ice maker will work in 24-48 hours. Still not working. I called back and the receptionist Janette stated she could not send the repair technician back because she closed the claim and that if I wanted the technician to come back I would have to open and new claim and pay another $100 deductible. I called my home repair company and they issued a recall and stated I would not have to pay another $100 deductible. I only would have to pay if there was a new/different issue. So far I have taken 5 days off from work for this repair. They only give you the time window the morning of. I have no way of even taking 1/2 day from work. The technician came and wanted a $100 ded. I told him I should not have to pay as per the home warranty company because this is a recall not a new claim. He called the office and Janette stated it was a new service and I had to pay. I procedded to ask to speak to her and that's when I have the most unacceptable treatment from a company that was providing me a service. She was screaming at me, screaming over me when I was speaking, I was trying to explain to her what I was advised by the home warranty company but she was not trying to understand/hear what I was saying. She wanted to be right and that's that. I asked her to put herself in my shoes and if she would want to pay for something that was not fixed in the first place. She refused, told me she's pulling the tech out of my house and to figure out how I'm getting my appliance fixed because he's out of there! Then she hung up on me. read more

Utilized this company for a leaking washer. Repairman was polite enough, but he seemed more interested in running thru his predetermined checklist of things to do within 30 minutes rather than listening to us under what conditions the leak did or did not appear. In fact, we ran a load as he was pulling out of our driveway to leave, and it leaked again at the same point in the cycle where we told him it would leak. We called his dispatcher asking for him to return, but were told that no one would be available until the following week! We then escalated this to the service manager, who told us that his people did not have the time to fully reproduce all wash conditions in the field, and that the machine would have to be brought in to their shop, and they would charge for both bringing it in to their shop and by the hour for diagnosis. This would be in addition to any additional parts or service. Checklists serve a valuable role whether in a cockpit or operating room to make sure important details are not missed, but they should never be used to re-define a problem and make it go away because "everything on the list checks out.." Sometimes the problem isn't on the list. We ended up calling another company in Trenton. Their seasoned technician actually listened d to what we were describing, reproduced it, and figured out the source of the leak within 15 min. I have no doubt other customers have had satisfactory service from this company, but for this visit with this technician, it was a no-go for me. read more

Nothing but great to deal with. Our washer recently died and All Appliance made a valiant effort to save it. In the end we needed a new one. Got a deal so we purchased a dryer also. I tried to do the LP conversion myself. The attempt however turned into a huge mess as the Bosch we bought needed to be almost completely taken apart to get at the valve and in the process, I broke the igniter. I called All Appliance in a panic (it had been 10 or so days since we were able to do a wash) and they came out within an hour with a new igniter and put the beast dryer back together. Had to use All Appliance as a last resort after 8 PSEG worryfree appointments to fix my Electrolux oven. After PSEG could not figure out what was wrong, Cost was reasonable for part that needed to be replaced and labor. The employee that came to my house for All Appliance took extra steps to make sure the oven was working correctly after he replaced the part. After the long ordeal, not only did the part PSEG replace initially not work, but the wiring wasn't connected all the way internally in the oven and they never thought to check it.
