They are life savers! At 11:00 pm, our garage door spring broke after maybe 10 years we had it replaced. We left a message that evening as well as emailed them so that they had it first thing in the morning when they opened. At 8:00 a.m., they returned our call and said they would have someone at our house between 11:00-1:00 p.m. They called us again around 10:30 and said they would be over at 11:00. I cannot recommend this company enough! Our house was built around 1930 and installing sectional garage doors were problematic since it didn't have the clearance necessary to install the tracks for sectional doors. This company had the expertise to make it happen, resulting in more overhead clearance than our previous tilt-up garage doors. They also provided excellent customer service: *continuing to work the day before Christmas to finish the project (even though we wouldn't have minded them finishing the following week) *coming back onsite a few months later to address questions we had about the doors. They wouldn't have been on my radar normally because I live on the Peninsula (around Redwood City area) which is not close to their location of San Leandro but my contractor has worked with All Bay a lot and recommended them. I called around to 3 different garage door companies and All Bay had the best pricing for installation of the Liftmaster side mount motor. Hannah is the one who typically answers the phone, she is friendly and helpful with scheduling, which I was able to get on schedule for the following week. On the day of installation, Frances called me about 30 minutes before arrival to let me know his arrival time. It was a pleasure having Frances as our installer, he was patient to answer all my many questions, knowledgeable about the various motor features, and overall had a professional friendly attitude. If I ever need to replace my garage doors to insulated doors, I would ask for Frances to be my installer. Just recently bought a home where one of the panels on our garage door was dented in. I reached out to a few places on Yelp to gauge how much it would be to replace the panel. Everyone who got back to me told me that they were unable to replace the panel cause the brand of the door is now discontinued (Windsor) and that we would need to replace the entire door. However, All Bay Garage Door was the only company that didn't try to sell me a brand new door. They were willing to replace just the damaged panel and paint it at a very reasonable price. Francis came to take a look at our door and told me that the best that he could do is an 80% match (grain wise) and I was completely okay with that. He gave me a quote and he was super flexible in scheduling me in at a time that worked best for me. This company provided amazing service. I called with what basically ended up as a "call an electrician to replace a lightbulb" situation- but after researching on YouTube and checking everything they said, I still couldn't figure it out. When I called to describe the problem, I was given a next day, free of charge visit so they could take a look and provide a quote. Francis (the technician) called to let me know he could arrive earlier than my scheduled appointment, and to make sure that was ok. He was super friendly and didn't make me feel like an idiot when the problem was simply that my cats had disengaged the chain drive and there was a specific way to re-engage it. I've been having problems with my garage door opener for the past 6-8 months and finally got around to calling. My remote would work great on my husbands door but not necessarily on mine. I often spent a couple of minutes clicking at different points to get it to close - yet could always open it from anywhere on the driveway. Very frustrating. The technician came out and figured out that I needed was to use a white light bulb instead of a yellow. The frequency is different on different bulb colors. Who knew??!! We had All Bay Garage Doors replace two garage doors with new ones at a rental home in San Leandro. Kevin is responsive, fairly priced, and gives excellent service- something that seems harder to come by these days. The doors were installed before drywall and electric work was completed and they came back after to place the openers on the walls, program the remotes, and do some rewiring. Sometimes even service that doesn't go 100% perfect can be 5-star. Our garage door started malfunctioning. We had used All Bay previously and called them. We called on Friday and the soonest appointment was Tuesday between 12-2. On Tuesday, I waited till about 1pm and still had not heard from them about their arrival time. I called their office and Hannah (who we had made the appointment with) returned my call and apologized that apparently somehow there had been a malfunction with their scheduling calendar and my appointment had fallen off the schedule. She scheduled someone to come the next day at 9am. On Wednesday Francis Garay arrived pretty close to 9am and evaluated our garage door. We needed to replace the motor. Our current motor was 24 years old, and the part needed to fix it was no longer available. Francis was ready to get started, when he realized he did not have a motor on his truck to replace ours with, so we were going to have to go another day without using our garage door. He scheduled us for 11am the next day. At 11:30, no one had arrived yet, so I called the office to be sure we hadn't "fallen off the schedule" again. I must admit, I was getting frustrated trying to get this taken care of, but again, Hannah answered and was very understanding and apologetic. She asked if she could call me back and she did very promptly and let me know someone would be on their way. Francis arrived about 10 minutes after she called me. He was friendly and worked quickly as I had somewhere to be. Things did not go perfectly, but their response and their friendly attitude kept things a 5-star review! We purchased a garage door from All Bay a few months ago. I screwed up and blocked the door with some plywood a couple of months later and the drive cable unwound. All Bay sent a man pretty quickly and the repair was done for a reasonable price. I had a similar problem not caused by me this time an the owner Kevin came out within a few hours to troubleshoot the problem and make corrections. He went through the entire set up to make sure everything was correct and lubed areas to make sure all was up to spec. I also own my own Garage Epoxy company and have many of the same clients and business issues as Kevin. I pretty much never write reviews because of the time it takes to sit down and do so. Many years ago, probably even before Yelp was around, I had an issue with my garage door and All Bay came to fix it. They left their business card on the garage wall which was a smart move. I can't remember what they fixed as it was so long ago, but I am sure it was great service or I would have torn their card up. Fast forward to many years later which is what this review is for. One of the springs (right side) broke unexpectedly and the garage door would not open. We called the only garage door place I could think of (once again - smart reminder with the card) and set up an appointment. Someone (sorry forgot his name) came to replace the spring. He recommended replacing the left side spring also since it was old and would eventually break. It would be easier to replace both at once and less expensive than doing both at different times. This sounded logical so we went with that plan. Cost came to $350 which included balancing the door and servicing door/motor. Quick appointment, professional, great service, and fair price. My 18 year old son, a month after getting his drivers license, pulled in a little too close to the garage door. It resulted in damage to the bottom two panels. Reliable and honest company. My elderly 76 year old aunt's garage door would close but reopen after 10 minutes or hours later.
