Tried calling this place for spring repair. Left voicemail. There was no call back. No communication.

Justin did everything to ensure the job was 100% complete to his and my satisfaction. I say "his" satisfaction as he provided additional work/material to ensure the doors fit perfectly. I highly recommend using Tri-Valley.

I shopped around for a garage door installer and went this a local company. He has been in…read morebusiness for quite a while and therefore trusted him more so than the rest. I ordered a garage door with a certain style of window 'inserts' that match my other windows in my home. He showed up promptly on the day of the install and the installation went good, except that he had to install a basic plain window because the window style I ordered had not yet arrived. He told me as soon as it came in he'd come and swap them out. About three weeks after the install I called to get a status. He said it would be taken care of soon. A few weeks later I called again and left a message, that I was somewhat upset it had not been done and I have not heard from him. I did not get a call-back. It has now been over 2 months since the installation and I am quite certain he has no intention of delivering the product I ordered which is unfortunate since he seems like a nice guy and did a good job installing the door. I actually gave him two stars because he did a good job, he was prompt and seemed like a good guy. I just don't understand why he never delivered my windows.

WARNING: This company installed the *wrong sized* garage door, and did a hack job on the door frame…read moreto try to make up for it, and then even failed at that. Please see the attached pictures and decide if that's something you'd ever want done to your house. If not, STAY AWAY from Local Garage Doors! 1. Our garage door opening is 15'4" across. Despite measuring the opening themselves, Local Garage Doors purchased and installed a door that is only 15' wide, which is 4" too short. Garage doors come in increments of 2". There was no reason to order something too narrow. 2. To make up for the door being 4" too narrow, they nailed 2x4s to the door jamb on either side in order to make the opening more narrow. Really. I'm not making this up. See the pictures. Aside from making it a bit more difficult to park in the garage, it looks terrible, as the 2x4s stick out towards the street because they don't line up with the existing door jamb. This completely unnecessary alteration to the door frame was also unpermitted. At some point when we get this fixed and have the 2x4s removed, I hope there are only nail holes in the door jambs and not any other damage to the door frame. 3. Of course a 2x4 is only 1.5" wide, so they shrunk the opening by 3", leaving the door 1" too narrow. Maybe 1" short is OK if the door is centered, and there's a .5" gap on either side that is covered by moulding. That's not what they did though! On one side the door is lined up with the 2x4, leaving a 1" gap on the other side, that is just *barely* covered by the moulding (that you can stick your finger through), with a section near that top where even the moulding doesn't reach. Again, see the pictures. 4. Oh I haven't even gotten to the part where they mislead us as to what the new door would look like. We said we wanted it to look like our neighbor's door. When they proposed the model they were going to install, and we asked if they could send us a picture of what it would look like, they just sent a picture of that same neighbor's door. Great, we thought, the same model as our neighbors. Our course that's not what it was. It kind of looks the same, but has an additional wood grain appearance that we don't care for. It's also clearly cheaper, judging by the poorly done rough cut of the pieces it's made from (see the picture). We made of number of mistakes in dealing with this company, such as: 1. We trusted them when they told us what the new door would look like. We should have insisted on a photograph from the door's manufacturer. 2. We trusted them to select the correct size door, and did not measure the door opening ourselves and check it against what they put in the contract. When we went back and looked at the estimates we got from two other companies, both of them were for doors that were wide enough for our door frame. Local Garage Doors was the only company that thought it would be cool to install a door that is too narrow. But the biggest mistake of all was doing business with Local Garage Doors in the first place. If we had chosen one of the other companies we got estimates from we would now have a door of the correct size. Instead we have a very costly and time consuming headache.
