In a word ... YUM!! This is one of my all time favorites not only in Geneva but the region. It's amazing to see the sculptures and sugar art but I go to make my taste buds dance. I think my favorite has to be when they have crepes on Sunday mornings ... The banana caramel rum flambé crepe (I think that's the name) is heaven on a plate. I just want to bathe in that sauce and the crepes are so nice and light ... love Love LOVE!!! Some other place like to say they have gelato but ACK gelato has such a rich depth of flavor and the texture is so smooth and silky like a gelato should be. If you want gelato that tastes like you are in a Gelateria in Rome, this is the place to go. Some flavors change day to day so be adventurous and try something new or you can't go wrong with the decadent dark chocolate. I recently visited with my sister who visited the first time and she loved the beautiful chocolate truffles and pralines. So pretty you hate to eat them but so good. I hate to write this review but I'm pretty disappointed from my recent experience here at All Chocolate Kitchen. I used to love this place hence why I'm giving two stars in place of zero. The problem is when I went here a girl was working all by herself and it was crowded. This is always a turn off as she seemed frantic and I have trouble respecting business owners who short staff their shifts let alone make someone work by themselves. I wasn't in the mood for a fancy espresso drink so ordered drip coffee instead. The girl didn't even mention that she would be making me an Americano until she handed me the drink. I would have never ordered an Americano. I HATE Americanos those are what Italians make in Italy to give Americans who want drip style coffee as a substitute since it's hard to get American style brews there. They are like watered down espressos and taste gross. I know I'm being picky but like what kind of place doesn't have normal brewed American coffee? If I wanted espresso I would have ordered it and would want it done the RIGHT way. I told her I didn't want an Americano and she made me a mediocre cappuccino instead. My quiche tasted decent. It will be quite a while before I go back here and hopefully by that time All Chocolate Kitchen will have gotten their act together. It's all about presentation and what I experienced was pretty sloppy. read more

One of my favorite stops when in Geneva, Illinois. I have never ordered the same thing twice as every delectable treat on display beckons to be tasted. Today I shared a key lime pie (tart?) with a chocolate cookie crust (and whipped cream on top!) and a chocolate croissant with 2 friends. Both were lip smacking, eye rolling delicious. I enjoy coming to the All Chocolate Kitchen. I love to drop by while I am out running errands solo, and sit by the red sugar lamp and watch out of the window while sipping on my cappuccino and enjoying a treat. The best espresso anywhere around!!! Makes for great shots of espresso, cappuccino, and of course their decadent mocha! I have yet to try the truffles. I absolutely love all of the croissants- traditional butter, chocolate and almond- by far some of the very best I have ever had!!! The giant chocolate chip cookies are excellent and quite a hit at my house. The gelato is superb! The whole family loves their gelato. I recently purchased a jar of raspberry chocolate spread, but have yet to try it. I have tried a few of the desserts now.. which overall are good. Though some for me are a bit dry by late afternoon. I tried the strawberry shortcake on Tuesday with a scoop of gelato and it was quite delicious. I would come in more frequently if it was closer to my house, at the very least 3 times a week(and honestly 5+ days a week if it was close to my house or work just for the espresso!). We are all very much looking forward to coming in for brunch on some Sunday morning as well. I have read several reviews about poor service which I really hate to hear. I have been fortunate in that all of my interactions with staff have been very pleasant, even when I have come in straight after work in my work blues. The centerpiece is a whimsical tree that transports you to a warm fall day, no matter what the weather. My daughter loves the pretty pastel princess castle which is beautiful. You can't have a restaurant without food, and the All Chocolate Kitchen does not disappoint. I love everything from the velvety gelato to the spicy Mexican quiche. So this place has a renown chef, and TV reviews, that's when I worry! The Martha Stewart chocolate cake was stale, even though the new trainee counter girl said it was made ''today". Rather disappointing for a small piece of cake that cost over $7! Yes, I am mad to pay $7 for a piece of stale cake! At that price, they won't be selling like crazy and they won't be tossing them out at closing time either! The chocolate croissant was made the day I was there(I saw it come off the baking sheet), but again, it left something to be desired, it really was flavorless, not made with butter, and actually burnt. The apricot strudel was good, but again, $7+. The coffee is very good, and pricey, $3 for a basic coffee, and no refill. So all in all an expensive venture for what you get, and I would shy away from the $7 desserts as there is no way to guarantee the treats freshness. When I get the chance to drive to geneva I always try to visit this place since they have the best desserts I know. The atmosphere is always lively and not to mention the artwork of chocolate. Unfortunately for this last visit was more disappointing. My family from out of state flew in and I wanted them to try the table side coffee. So I asked Hannah H if they do reservations today at all and she said no they do not because no one is here to do it and she wouldn't know how. So we thought okay we will just do hot chocolate and walk around. After spending couple of hours around geneva we came back for dessert and sat down at a table. And guess what? Here's hannah coming up to these people to do table side. I was so aggravated, maybe next time don't lie to your customers and say you don't know how to do it or that you don't have any reservations today. If I could give it 6 stars, would. We are from Geneva, but moved away. We were up visiting family for the week & we were here three times in one week. The staff, including Chef Roby, are helpful and nice. **They encourage sampling of the gelato. They don't rush you, either. If you're on your 6th sample of gelito, they will happily give you a 7th. I think it says something when you actually see the Chef in the store. He didn't just put his name on the store & doesn't really visit there. This will defiantly be a place we visit on our trips to Geneva! read more

If I could give this establishment a zero I would. I took my three year old granddaughter to All Chocolate Kitchen for her first high tea. I made the reservation 1 month in advance and had a confirmation call back from the restaurant. When we showed up I was told there was no reservation and tea was not being served that day. Needless to say my granddaughter was heartbroken. I've been to this restaurant before and had expected much better customer service. I asked for the owner to give me a call to discuss this mishap, but as of today have heard nothing. That was 1 month ago. My granddaughter lives in Michigan and won't be back for several months. I couldn't be more disappointed in the owners for never returning my call. Clearly they don't care if they lose customers and they can be sure I'll share my experience with everyone I can.
