Each group was provided a mystery box of chicken thighs, and mahi-mahi for protein. We also had broccoli, orange, marmalade, rosemary, and black beans. We all had fun, laughing along with Tre. He is hilarious! The meal he and the other chefs prepared for us, was also delicious. Free-flowing, fun and laughter! Would definitely recommend this venue for other team building events.

I'm the baker in the house (although my husband makes amazing souffle's) and I walked away with tips and and tricks that I will definitely be using in the future! Chef Zach was an absolute gem. :) We parked, walked up to the door, and he opened the front door without us having to knock. He had his entire kitchen prepared for us so that all we had to do was whisk or pour or laugh at his jokes. We made white chocolate mousse with a strawberry sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and he made the entire class effortless. Taught us a lot about chocolate along the way and imparted great advice for an easier time with remaking it. Had a serving each while there, and he sweetly (;)) boxed up our extra servings to-go. Definitely recommend doing his chocolate class! It was a fun date, and the white chocolate mousse just melted in our mouths haha.

They also have the option to write a note of encouragement or inspiration to someone suffering from mental illness. I thought that was a sweet gesture and liked participating in that. I sent Veena a handful of my Mom's favorite recipes (including a more obscure and apparently heavily British dish called Lamb Pasanda) and she created a meal plan that included everything and more. We showed up and Veena greeted us warmly. Her kind energy and passion for her food and culture were clear. She never made us feel like we were asking silly questions and kept the experience light and fun. She was basically willing to go into as much detail or as little detail as we wanted. It was a very affordable class considering it was a 3 hour long private sessions for the two of us. We even went home with tons of leftovers, a spice kit (black cardamom smells amazing), and recipes for our dishes! Veena took pictures of our experience and offered her help for any future cooking questions we had. I totally understand they cannot do this for every single customer all day long, but when it is quiet and someone is clearly excited about your product, that little extra effort can make a huge difference in customer retention. I worked in customer service my entire life, and I always believed in going the extra mile when you can - "accomodating when you can be" is a great customer service motto! If you are a home baker like me, then you will find your happy place. All for your Cakes is amazing. I have been a regular since late 2017 and I truly believe this place is meant to be an oasis for bakers and treats makers like me. The customer service is top-notch, all the ladies know what they are talking about and are willing to help when I have questions. I have been coming for my cake supplies at this store for years now. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any questions. I've never had any issues with any of the staff. The owners always greet me and make me feel welcomed. If there is a certain item they don't carry, they're always open to the feedback of looking into supplying. Square top peninsula bar to the left as you walk in and lounge area sofas and arm chairs to sit in groups to the right. Place is clean and just FYI it has one unisex bathroom and the place opens at 7 PM. This Friday night featured an appetizer menu, what I will call a munchies menu of tacos made by another vendor, and bottle cap bingo of all things. I tried the pecan bourbon old fashioned ($13) and found it to be good. I try to limit the add-ins somewhat and so I just stuck with Buffalo Trace on a large rock for the rest of the night. My wife had several mixed drinks that were in the $12 range. Matthias came up with a drink that was, per my wife, "sweet and strong." I thought maybe she was thinking of me when she ordered but she nixed that idea pretty quickly....LOL Mini-charcuterie ($12) I thought left something to be desired. Beef jerky added with just a toothpick of cured meats. Not sure how they fit three different types on there but they did and it was just enough to make you want more. Cheeses seemed to be basic run of the mill diced. Per my wife it was ok, but she would probably pass on ordering it again. It's not meant as an entree to be fair and there is a good portion as a whole, but just overly simple and a little light on proteins. I'd cut down the cheese and double the toothpick, also 86 that jerky stuff and probably have a decent plate. Maybe even through a couple extra strawberries on there. Two sisters sitting next to us ordered the artichoke and spinach dip. They said the dip was fine but the baguettes were way over-toasted (i.e. too dry) and that seems like an easy fix. Later in the evening during bingo I tried a couple of tacos. They are brought in and stored, reheated when ordered. Unfortunately it seems like it as the flour tortillas are quite soft and it just doesn't come out fresh. The relleno burrito is just a relleno wrapped in a flour tortilla; the potato and chorizo had my wife's approval and mine as well. Laura runs a good bar over there, and some of you may remember her from Torchy's down the road. Fair pours and prices commensurate for around the area. Bingo runs pretty quickly, even the blackouts and the organizer had a plinko game a la price is right style. Was a fun run down memory lane for me. In a bit of irony, we never ordered dessert, which is the main focus of this business during the week. The samples I saw looked pretty good and it seems like the bar is just a way to make use of the space off bakery hours which I can appreciate. To me though they are nearing that price range where I'd expect a little better from the kitchen for appetizers. About $120 was the overall tab which we capped with a 25% tip. We took home a slice of Cherry Merlot pie and a slice of Blueberry Lemon cake. The Blueberry Lemon cake was delicious--moist, light, and refreshing. The Cherry Merlot pie was good too, though it tasted mostly like cherry. I was hoping for just a bit more of the Merlot flavor to come through. The service was friendly, and there's a great variety of treats, so there's truly something for everyone. We'll definitely stop back the next time we're in the area.
