We do not let our dog free-roam when we are not home, and our house was not set up for it. There was trash in the trash cans that she could have eaten, and any number of things she could have gotten into that could be harmful to her. She also urinated and pooped on the carpet. In my bedroom. So I was cleaning that up at midnight after traveling. And of course I cannot stop smelling it. It's going to take getting the carpet cleaned. We have had this dog for 5 years and this is the first time she has EVER peed or pooped in the house. She also peed and pooped again when I took her out when I got home. This is very outside of normal for her and it makes me wonder if she was actually getting let out on her visits. I will be checking our cameras to see.

Both these guys are Havanese…read more Teddy is eight months old and so full of energy while Tucker's the most sensitive of our two dogs. Dax worked his magic for both and the results were flawless. He was very polite and patient and somehow he got these two guys to comply. I contacted other groomers within the area, but none of those places ever responded back to me through the email, which was very disappointing. But I'm so glad that Woofie came through for us. They were very courteous and responsive to me through Yelp chat, and all the questions I had were answered very promptly. I'm so happy with the results and our dogs look so clean and proper now. Looking forward to the next grooming session in the future.

I was never a fan of traditional boarding, having them locked up in a kennel or crate all day with little to no attention and the sound of constant barking, which is what led me to first search for an alternative and discover BarkPDX. I LOVED the idea of allowing our dogs to stay in their home with someone coming in to care for them. Yes, the idea of a stranger in our home felt a little weird but only until we met him. I adored Ozzy instantly and knew we were in good hands, and he's proven me right every year since. The dogs took to him immediately and you can tell he genuinely cares about them - their safety, health, happiness, and well being. He takes them on walks, gives them their meds, plays with them, and he's even helped us through TWO dog medical emergencies when we were out of town. What's more, we always know what's going on thanks to the regular updates, pictures, and texts which gives us peace of mind. He shared notes on what they were up to each day and I honestly could not ask for better care for my fur babies. I can't say enough good things about Ozzy and BarkPDX. Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. She goes above and beyond for my dog and will always make time for him rain or shine. If I am working late or if I don't feel well, she will come on the fly.
