All My Sons quoted me 3-4 hours for a simple local move, then dragged it out to nearly 8 hours with no urgency, constant phone use, and a complete disregard for the detailed move plan I provided. They used no protective materials--no floor runners, no padding--despite this being standard practice for other customers. My brand-new townhome was damaged, and over $1,000 in household items were broken due to their carelessness. To make it worse, they offered a laughable $325 settlement--only if I signed a non-disparagement clause. Upon arrival the guys took 20 minutes before they started and this is a timed company as the day went by they clearly took their slow time moving out. Absolutely terrible experience with the group out of Athens. I don't know where to begin because this was the worst moving group I have ever worked with. To start, they gave us a quote which was less than half of what the final amount turned out to be. Second, they were supposed to send three people for the move. They sent two so they could bill us for more hours! Their team went to lunch and kept biling us and then stated it took longer to go to the storage unit. It was a 6 mile trip through Athens. It should not take 45 minutes! To add insult to injury, the literally ruined half of the items being stored. Absolutely the worst moving experience I've ever had. All My Sons Moving originally quoted me 3 hours to move a very small list of items: three dressers, one bed already taken apart, one full bed to disassemble, a mattress, two nightstands, and one large mirror. They also included our home gym, shed items, barstools, tv, and shelves in the quote which they did not get to since the time was already running over. The final bill went from $480 to over $1,300, and it ended up taking them over 6 hours--twice the time quoted. To make it worse, several items that were included in the quote were never moved at all. The movers spent a huge amount of time on their phones, moved extremely slowly, and showed no urgency or professionalism. I have security camera footage showing how slow they were the entire time. We were moving from a house to a storage unit, not even a house-to-house move, so there's absolutely no reason this should've taken anywhere near 6 hours. Sexual Harassment - I recently used All My Sons to move and am extremely upset about the entire experience. Upon arrival, one of the movers started sending me inappropriate text messages and continued to do so the entire duration he was supposed to be working. He even tried to get me in a room alone! I was extremely upset and uncomfortable but terrified to say anything since he was moving my things and knew where I lived. During the move, the movers caused damage to multiple pieces of furniture. They also ripped up my new flooring and tried to cover it with my sofa. When I asked about it, he said 'oops' and walked away. I ended up filing a claim just requesting to be compensated for the damages and they responded with an offer for a fraction of my request. Again I was very upset and finally got the push I needed to let them know about the inappropriate behavior from their mover. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then requested a full refund considering the circumstances. We used All My Sons Moving & Storage for both legs of our move from Atlanta, GA to Naperville, IL this July. It was a complicated move with three weeks between move-out and move-in, and while the coordination initially seemed smooth, the unpacking process revealed major issues. Upon arrival, we discovered significant damage: our marble dining table cracked in half, a motorcycle helmet destroyed, a decorative clock broken, and all the hardware for our bedroom furniture missing, leaving it unusable. Later, we also discovered that our living room TV screen was cracked in multiple places, and after rearranging furniture, we found serious damage to our piano, now quoted at over $1,000 to repair--damage the company refuses to even acknowledge. Disturbingly, the piano had been placed facing a wall, clearly positioned in a way that concealed the damage until long after the movers had left. The unpacking crew themselves were kind and helpful--they even sifted through trash bags looking for the missing hardware and walked us through filing a claim. Unfortunately, that's where everything fell apart. Despite following all instructions, we received a confusing document that did not address all the items in our claim. Instead, it simply offered $150 in compensation--with the condition that we sign away All My Sons' liability for anything else moving forward. Obviously, we did not sign that, and instead requested someone from the company contact us to explain the document, as we had questions. That never happened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we followed up with the claims department to both ask about the contract and report the newly discovered piano damage, the manager became dismissive and even snippy with us--telling us we "should've found it sooner" and that we weren't eligible to include it because we had already submitted a claim (even though nothing had been signed or finalized).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To make matters worse, we were told that once we submitted our initial claim, nothing could be added--a policy that is deeply problematic given the deliberate way the piano damage was hidden from view. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Multiple requests for management follow-ups and appeals have gone completely unanswered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The initial $150 we were offered has since been rescinded, and every attempt we've made to get clarification or resolution has been ignored. To be clear, I understand that damage can sometimes occur during a move. What is unacceptable--and what was particularly problematic for us--is how the claim process (or lack thereof) was handled. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lack of accountability, the dismissive treatment from their staff, and the refusal to address legitimate concerns made a bad situation far worse.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What makes this especially frustrating is that I chose All My Sons over competitors with better reviews because they advertise expertise in piano moving. That claim could not be further from the truth. The bottom line: this company does not stand behind its work. This was the absolute worst move!!! Not to mention the fact that I've emailed no less than 5 times hoping for a response and resolution only to be ignored. Yes, I confirmed I had the correct email address and when I finally spoke with someone via phone, confirmed they received my emails and Chuck would call me back. I still have 2 beds and one couch completely unassembled and I was told I could, "go to Home Depot and get screws to put it back together" myself. Here's the gag, ALL MY SONS disassembled everything and according to their contract should have reassembled everything. No such luck. Pieces of beds are missing because they lost them, I had to assemble the primary bed, the kicked our boxes and storage totes down the ramp of the truck because they were tired, spilled paint in the garage and told us we should have moved it, spilled coffee on the carpet and said they had no idea how it got there, damaged 3 dressers, took 13hrs to complete a 5hr move. And one of the movers had to audacity to contact us via instagram and ask about his tip. Almost forgot, they forced a 1.5in screw into a 1inch hole splitting the wood on the bed and stripping the screw. Took me 30 mins and lots of muscle to help them get the wrong screw out of the bed. They sent two movers with bad attitudes and zero work ethic who took items out of my basement, put it on the truck, decided the entire job was too much to move, and then removed the items while I was on the phone with their manager (who was instructing them to move what they could). The largest, heaviest item was left in the middle of our walkway - despite our numerous requests for them to either take it back to the basement or move it into the garage (which was right next to their truck). For a local move (Atlanta area) with most of my things having already been moved to the new house by friends, I called the company to see what the cost would be to move the rest of the heavy pieces. When I described what was left, I was told, "that will take very little time, only the minimum 3 hours that is required." I was given a quote, then told "it could be within a hundred dollars or so more, but nothing major". The guys who came took their time - were not working efficiently, doing a lot of standing around and joking (not doing the job) - which wasted a lot of time (and money). At the end of the move, I was shown the bill, which was twice what I was quoted. I would never have hired them had I known what they would have charged (I'd talked with other companies as well). The guy said, "You hired us for 7 hours". No I did not. Absolutely not. He then lied on the form and said they were there longer than they actually were. The predatory behaviors of this company as a whole are concerning - and are worth investigating legally... When I called the company to complain about the poor service, I was met with defensiveness and arrogance. When I described my situation and the reason I struggled with it, the person on the other end actually sneered at me. The response was, "that is YOUR problem, not ours." I should not have to fight a business to conduct themselves fairly. I figured that if I could not handle the workers, that at least when I called about them I would be met with understanding. Nope. This was the worst moving experience we have ever had. We moved 8 items less than 30 miles with an original quote of around 650 (they never send any evidence of the initial quote) that ended up costing 954. We moved 8 items: 3 wood bar stools, one metal collapsable stool ( I told them not to worry about that one, and they still spent time wrapping it up?), a leather recliner, a wooden horse, a globe, and a blackjack table. It took them over 2 hours to wrap up and load these items onto their truck, which is utterly ridiculous with the items mentioned. On top of that, they took over an hour and a half to drive the 45-minute distance (they showed me on their phones when they would get to the location), which means they wasted time to drag out the moving time since they are paid by the hour. Additionally, they took out our neighbor's wifi electrical wire because the top of their truck was damaged, and the shredded metal caught on the wires and ripped them out. So, our neighbors have been without wifi for going on 4 days now. Overall, it was extremely frustrating and time-consuming because they purposefully ran up the clock to make more money and were careless with their truck, which caused significant damage and left our neighbors in a bad spot. read more

I was told I would be charged 219/hour, and given the little items and furniture I had, it would take about 3 hours (including the 3 movers' commute). The total quote I was given was around 600+ USD. The entire move took over 6 hours and I was charged over 1500 USD. Problems: 1. NO PAPER TRAIL ABOUT THE ACTUAL QUOTE. The quote that they sent me after consultation was not an actual quote, but only their hourly rate (see pictures). Everything was communicated to me over the phone. I started a dispute with my credit card company, but they said the lack of physical quote would make it difficult to establish a case. 2. SHADY/ILLEGAL PAPERWORK. Upon arrival, the foreman presented me with pages and pages of documents to sign. The foreman told me the clock started when they arrived but they won't start moving until I signed everything, so I felt rushed and wasn't able to look over everything in depth. It's suspicious they wouldn't send me the documents ahead of the move. The foreman also promised me I would be emailed all the documents, inventories, etc. that I signed but it has been more than a month since my move and I haven't received anything. Also, there were parts on the documents that required 3 people's signature (me, the foreman, and a witness) and the foreman witnessed everything himself... ISN'T THIS ILLEGAL??!!! 3. Took them around 6 HRS to move from a 1b1ba to a new apartment that was less than 10 minutes away. This was shocking. Except some kitchen appliances (not many, because I live alone), I had packed everything else. I also moved most of my clothes over the day before. They came without any boxes and the foreman spent ONE HOUR making ONE box from tape and cardboard. I was charged for the hour. The box was so small they couldn't fit everything and left more than half of my kitchen appliances before. I had to return later to finish the move. It's unreasonable for me to pay for the one hour they spent to make a box. 6. Broke my couch during reassembly. Spent over 1 hour (that I was also being charged for) trying and failing to reassemble my couch. After the foreman told me it's impossible, I told him to leave the couch unfinished because it's crazy how long the move was. Later, I looked over his work and realized he had broken the couch by using the parts in the wrong places. I emailed their customer service and have not heard back. I didn't even ask for compensation for the couch or the additional labor/time I had to put in because they didn't complete the move. All I ask for is to be refunded the overcharged amount. This place is a rip off do not them, they lied about the quote over the phone. They charged me three times the price, they told me it would take four hours to move a small two bedroom apartment that was already packed up, it took 4 movers 8 hours to move me because they were moving slow on purpose to stretch time, they damaged my bedroom pedestal frame , and put a tear in my brand new leather couch. if you want bad service then go here. That's the lowest you can rate. They are FAR BELOW 1. Damaged furniture, broken legs, bent refrigerator door hinge, snapped off legs, scrapped wood floors. Couple hours turned into 3 days and storage. Slow, unprofessional movers. Max repayment $350. DO NOT USE!!!!!!! read more

I should have read the reviews prior to booking because as the reviews mention, they quoted me a price and then I owed DOUBLE of what I expected to pay based on that quote. Give or take, maybe $100-200 more just because it took longer than expected (not sure why). A quote obviously is not the final price but this is not my first time moving and I've never been quoted something and then in turn changed $400 more.. I paid for 5 movers and a truck for a large house. However, they didn't mention that only two of them would be working at any given time. The foreman was messing around at the truck, changing his music and making phone calls. The others were walking extremely slowly, playing with their phones, and talking. They probably got about 20 minutes of actual work done for each hour. The disassembly of furniture was a disaster. They lost hardware, bent a bracket on a nice table, gouged walls without mentioning it. If you use this company, INSPECT EVERYTHING THEY DO. Take lots of pictures. I will be pursuing a refund of hundreds of dollars because they didn't even fulfill their contract. They exceeded the quoted amount by 300+ dollars because of their extremely slow speed.
