It took me a while to write this review because I was so angry. Even now it makes my blood boil…read morethinking about my experience here, but I wanted to be composed when I wrote my experience. My fiancé, our best friend, and I came here for a day of pampering. The price point seemed reasonable enough for gel manicures and the location was close to home so we thought, why not try someplace new? We had preplanned our visit and made a reservation. Arriving we were greeted and seated immediately. Once seated our nail techs came and began the appointment. While my fiancé and best friend were being serviced and talked to, my nail tech silently got to work without even saying as much as a "hello" to me. Secondly - while my fiancé, and friend were handed menus to choose their colors, my nail tech didn't bother to give one to me. My fiancé asked me if I had chosen a color and I said in front of the nail tech "no I haven't been given my options". My fiancé asked me this twice while her nails began being worked on and I had to ASK for the menu to choose which seemed like the biggest inconvenience or like it annoyed the girl working on my nails. I also got to watch as my friend and fiancé had pleasant conversations with their nail techs while mine didn't bother to talk to me at all. She seemed SO MUCH more interested in people watching the door right behind me and gave me short replies when I did try talking to her. I thought "maybe she's having an off day" as some people do, but it became clear she was perfectly capable of a smile and a good attitude when she very enthusiastically greeted some family who came in that she recognized. That's when my benefit of the doubt ended. Why was I singled out like this? Why did my fiancé and friend get to have a good experience right next to me while I was forced to awkward silence? Now, the nail in the coffin - when I finally got to choose my color I chose a white sparkly color that looked like starlight. I knew it would take a few coats but we weren't in a rush and I didn't mind the wait if it looked as pretty as it did on the sample. I've gotten colors like this done before, so it was really okay. I need to emphasize that I said the color BY NAME and pointed it out to the nail tech. She started doing my nails and then I noticed, the color wasn't like what I had seen. It was metallic and grey and I asked her if this was the color I had chosen and should it look this way. She insisted yes, but when she was painting more of my mails I knew something wasn't right. I asked her what the color was and when she showed me the name I was astounded to find out it was NOT the one I had asked for. She had the audacity to point it out very quickly to me on the menu "this is what you picked" and mind you, I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED, I need the menu inches from my face in order to really read it. I asked her to let me hold it so I could check and when she pointed it out she had chosen the color NEXT TO the one I had requested. I'm sorry, but if I had only pointed to it, maybe, MAYBE I could understand why you would have b been confused, but I said the color BY NAME and you STILL got it wrong and had the audacity to get mad at ME as if I had been the one to do something wrong!!! With attitude she cleaned off the few fingers she had painted and started with the one I had originally asked for. Like I said, it was rather light so I knew this was going to take a few coats. The nail tech did two. ONLY TWO coats and started to prep the protective coat to go on top and I could still see my nail very clearly beneath the paint!!! How could you look at this work and think it was acceptable!? I asked her for more coats, she looked even more annoyed like I was wasting her time and begrudgingly gave me only ONE more coat before I got fed up with her attitude and said "forget it" and let her finish with just that. I hated my nails. They looked nowhere near as pretty as they should have been for simple gels. And if you're going to get mad at me for needing to start over, maybe pay attention to your customer IN YOUR SEAT instead of looking right over my head to the door because I'm not one of your regulars. My fiancé and friend had decent and pleasant experiences, but for me to have this treatment RIGHT BESIDE THEM was embarrassing and your staff should be too! Never coming here again.

The previous time where we came here together, we had an amazing nail spa day with sweet nail ladies, so I'm not sure what happened here this time around. My best friend was in town and wanted to get our nails done, so we came here last Friday morning. We booked a mani and a pedi. We checked in and didn't have to wait long for Mymy and Tina to start on our toes. Honestly, our whole pedicure experience well because our ladies were nice and just did their jobs. Here comes the bad part of our experience of when we were getting started on our manicures. We had originally booked two gel pedicure and one gel manicure and one gel builder. We asked if they can do gel builder for both manicure, which they said yes but one of us would have to wait 15 minutes which we said we were fine with. I had Tracy who started on my nails first and for the most part, she was quiet and just did her thing, which I preferred. Sadly, my best friend got Kandy who at first asked my best friend what she wanted for shape and length with the builder gel. My best friend told her she wanted to do a short almond shape. Kandy told her if she wants to do that then she would have to do a longer length, so my friend agreed and said a medium length is fine. I don't think Tracy or Kandy knew this, but we are Vietnamese and can understand everything that is being said!! Because Kandy later proceeded to complain in Vietnamese the ENTIRE manicure about how she doesn't know how she's going to my friend's nails because of what she picked, how she's going to be stuck doing it for a long time, how my friend "insisted" on doing this and how my friend's nails/fingers aren't straight and keep swerving. Tracy was fine for most of my manicure, but there was a couple times she would agree and say "yeah, this lady's fingers too". Halfway through, my best friend and I just stopped talking to each other because I was getting so annoyed of Kandy's complaining. I wished she would've just told us she couldn't do my friend's nail so we could've had another nail tech who would've been happy to do it. I didn't say anything because it was my first time seeing my best friend in months and she really wanted to get her nails done, so I bit my tongue but her complaints started giving me a headache. After Tracy was done with my manicure, she asked me if we were paying separately or together. I told her together, so she punched in the numbers and gave me a total of $295. I gave her $300 in cash and was going to ask for change, but I heard her saying in Vietnamese about how she had little to no change. By the time I looked up after I paid, she had left the table. **I turned over to my friend and told her I had a headache, so I was going to wait outside in the car. I gave her cash to tip everyone after she's done telling her I overheard Tracy saying she didn't really have any change, so my friend can ask her nail lady for change.** When my friend was done and came out 15 minutes later, she told me Tracy came up shocked and complained about how I walked out and didn't tip on a $295 service and how she couldn't believe it - repeating it over and over. I wished she would've waited until my friend was done with her nails, so she could've seen that we were going to tip... My friend said they were a little nicer when she pulled out the cash I gave her to tip, but the whole experience put a really bad taste in our mouths. I won't be back here again.

Uncooperative nail tech. Upon booking, I told the front desk I'm very picky. I'm a creative director by trade and I need someone very precise. She cut me off saying don't worry all my technicians are very good. Consequently, I had shown the nail tech my last manicure and asked him to recreate these very basic neutral medium length almond nails. I asked him for advice regarding what nail extension technique would achieve the look. We debated a bit. I know a lot about nails because I used to have a nail business in LA. I made a choice amongst the techniques and he insisted on another and proceeded with that, insisting I wait and see. He refused my feedback along the process as I watched him make big mistakes like cut the nails way too short, shape each nail unevenly, and taking shapes way too off to one side and yet kept telling me to wait and see. Well, too late now it's done and anyone in their right mind would see this is a garbage job in addition to being nothing that I asked for except for the color of the polish. See what they gave me compared to my previous mani and how much they differ. Nails sit lifted on some nail beds and straighter on others, but unevenly distributed gel. They're just all over the place. A salon is only as good as it's consistency. I do not recommend.
