The 2 bros, Miguel and Angel Avila are scammers. They turn into victims when confronted with their scam. Sept 27, 2022, I went there for a smog test, the result was failed due to tampered fuel metering system. They showed me the air filter box housing was damaged and offered to repair it if not they will order a replacement. They told me to come back in the afternoon to check if it can be repaired for $80. Upon my return, in less than 5 minutes, they told me it can't be repaired. Why not tell me upfront earlier that it cant be repaired ? They charged me upfront to order the replacement, $157.23 for the part and $90 for labor plus $10 for the smog retest fee for a total of $270.99 (tax included). They said they will call me after 2 days because it is the expected delivery. I did not get any call from them. I was patient, so I called them on Oct 3rd, they said there was a problem with the delivery and that they will call me for any update. I got no calls from them. After 2 weeks since they charged me, I came back for a smog retest because I had my Sienna Van repaired at Toyota, where the part came in after a day it was ordered and I was not charged upfront (unlike these 2 scamming bros pretending to be nice and helpful). They said the part was coming from another country, China, that's why it is taking too long. Why tell me they ordered it on Sept 27 and delivery in 2 days ? Now they want me to honor that transaction and hold on to that order when it comes. What ?? When I said I disputed my credit card charge, they got mad saying that is not how business is conducted, I should have called them, playing the victim now. Then that are charging me the full price of the smog test at $60, I said I already paid you $50 last Sept 27 and only $10 for a retest. Before letting me go, they pretended to check the past transactions if I did pay or not. Why will they let me go not paying last Sept 27 ?? I had to go back to them for the retest because when I went to another Smog test center, I was told I have to go back to the site that failed my Van and have it retested there, that is the only way. read more

Having a custom car or truck is always a pain when it comes to getting it smogged. I took my truck to Angel's All Smog Center and I must say that I was extremely happy with the customer service, the two brothers who co-own the shop, and their prices. Being a new "Star certification center" they have new regulations in regards to smog, but Angel personally called the Bureau of Automotive Repair to make sure that my vehicle was within California regulations. This saved me an huge amount of time having to take it the state for smog. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes at a price lower than any other place in the valley (I know because I called all the smog centers in the valley for a quote and they were by far the least expensive.). This place was a blessing to find! Miguel was very knowledgeable with my mini. I was having issues with check engine and air bag lights showing and he was able to fit me in and diagnose the problem. The part that was needing to be replaced was pretty expensive and he researched it and told me that the problem was still covered under the warranty instead of trying to make a quick buck like other places. It you have an older vehicle don't get smog done here it is 50 dollars whether it passes or not call around there are some places that charge less if your car doesn't pass the smog test. They will rip you off shop around for the best price. read more
