Our 50+ year old (December, 1975) original wood garage door needed to be replalced so we scheduled a consultation for an estimate. Dave came to our home, measured, explained the process, and answered all out questions. When the day came, for the installation, Ernesto was our installer. Communication from both Dave and Ernesto was timely and professional. We felt we were in good hands and they certainly delivered. We love our beautiful, new garage door! I should add, we're Costco members and felt that added a layer comfort knowing All Star is one of their approved vendors. Thank you Costco, All-Star, Dave, and Ernesto for providing us with an excellent sales and installation experience. read more

We were in need of a new garage door ASAP and checked out Costco's offering, because why not? All Star Garage Door (ASGD) is the approved vendor for Costco and Albert contacted me to schedule a consultation immediately. Albert was great right off the bat! He's a cool dude who is quite knowledgeable and has been in the industry for a while. He provided us with a ton of information and options for garage doors and door openers and was candid about our situation. He also went over perks of going through Costco Member services, including rebates and promos. It was a no brainer to go with ASGD! Shelbi at ASGD was amazing. She helped expedite the contract and is a blessing to work with! Albert scheduled Raphael for the install. Raphael was really nice. He completed the install in record time and hauled away the old garage door. Raphael took time to explain how to use the new garage, which is pretty high tech! We were super grateful. Albert and his team were great to work with! read more

All-Star Garage door, INC. Installed a garage door to our house in Monterey Park, in 2021. We wanted a quality durable door, so we went through Costco for the service. Now, after only four years, one of the springs broke. It is also been brought to our attention that the garage door tracks were not properly installed. When we recently contacted All-Star, Garage Door, INC, we were informed in no uncertain terms that the door was no longer guaranteed. The company agent seemed to tell us that we would have to have had the door inspected annually (at over $200 a visit) for the guarantee to be in effect. We have spent $800 out of pocket to restore the Garage door function. read more

Dave, their sales person, was extremely thorough, going over garage door options and installation needs in great detail and answering every question I had. He made sure to order an oversized door to fit my opening, and also added a wide rubber strip at the base to address my slightly slanted driveway and insure a good seal when the door is closed. I greatly appreciated his attention to details like that. All Star's installer, Rafael, was also excellent. He was on time, efficient and professional, and went over equipment and controls with me when done. He also cleaned up the area upon completion. Short version: This is the ***ONLY*** garage door company you should call. A car backed into my garage door and it was badly off the track and bent. I wasted my time with two other vendors that wanted me to do a complete replacement. Albert came out and treated me like I was family. He gave me a quote and stuck to his word. Two days later, Hector and Michael showed up right on time and immediately repaired my existing garage door. There was no mess or wasted time at all. They had me test the door several times showing they truly cared about their work. My garage door is truly better than new as it wasn't even properly installed in the first place!!! Instead of spending thousands on a new garage door, I had my perfect existing door repaired and re-installed perfectly. Absolute pros. I wish these guys did the whole house!!! read more

Though not the least expensive the Costco rebate brought the price in line The day of installation Rafael called to say he would arrive at 10am which he did. When he arrived he looked at the project and said he would be finished at 1:30 He was. This included walking me through the use of the opener and care of the opener and door. I needed some touch up paint for a garage door I purchased 4 years ago. The retailer I purchased from was unwilling to help me and basically just blew me off. I contacted the door manufacturer who gave me the number for All Star Garage Door in Baldwin Park which is not near me. The gentleman at All Star whose name I believe was Ryan was very helpful. He contacted the manufacturer who replied they would send out touch up paint at no charge. This is about as good as it gets folks. Ryan went above and beyond even though I didn't purchase my door from All Star. Thank you Ryan! read more

I had gotten a few online quotes and had one other company come do an estimate but decided to have one more quote done by Costco for a price comparison. I didn't think I would go with them based on the limited product offerings that Costco had but wanted the data point. Albert Albright came to my house and was so knowledgeable and had such great ideas that not only did I decide to go with All Star, I decided to get a non-Costco product (read: no discount). This actually ended up being my most expensive quote, but I really wanted something very specific (an all aluminum and glass door with 8 equal sized panels in a 2 x 4 configuration) that only Albert was able offer me (through a custom door with Northwest Garage). The "standard" glass doors offered by some of the larger companies required me to have 12 panels in a 3 x 4 configuration which I really did not like the look of. Albert warned me about the shortcomings of an aluminum door (less insulation from weather and sound) and offered me some alternatives but based on the look I was going for, but we agreed the shortcomings would be worth it. When they sketched out the door and realized that the panels of glass would not be exactly the same size, I was a bit worried. Albert assured me that this was necessary for the integrity of the door and would still look great. He was right. It took about 10 weeks but was well worth the wait. The installer was on time and did a great job. The garage door looks great and it is exactly what we wanted. We use the garage as an office so having the clear glass door makes the room larger and brighter. We had gone back and forth on whether to get them frosted and am so glad we decided not to. Very grateful to All Star Garage Door for the beautiful upgrade to our home! read more

Gross incompetence. The company, contracted through Costco, to replace two garage doors only ordered one, so instead of the 3-4 weeks quoted, it took about 3 months to show up for installation. Communication was poor throughout. When they came to install the doors, they realized the doors were measured incorrectly and don't fit. I would highly recommend finding another company. read more

Mine was a really happy purchase, from my call to Costco from whom I purchased the garage door to the first contact with Dave the salesman to scheduling the install with Christy in the office and the actual install by Raphael - who worked really hard to get it done right. Christy contacted me next for an appointment, and Raphael showed up on the day and on time. When it came time to replace the garage door and chain drive opener installed when was house was remodeled in 1999, I did not hesitate to chose another of the services offered by Costco. I had perused the Amarr information on Costco's website and made the decision to call for an estimate. On July 27, 2023, Dave VanDeventer of All-Star Garage Door arrived at my home as scheduled with everything I needed to make a decision about the construction, the color, the glass option, and the opener. I made these decisions without hesitation, knowing full well that I wanted to go ahead and sign the contract. The contract was prepared and delivered promptly for me to read and sign. Christy Jones of All-Star was very helpful with this. I received confirmation that delivery would be in one to three weeks. I was notified that installation could be done on August 16, so I made sure to prepare the interior of the garage so the installer would have clear access to the areas where work would be done. Raphael H. came right on time. We talked a bit before he got started. He worked steadily taking down the old opener and door, then installing the new door and opener. He took the time to show me the features and safety features. He showed me how to load the myQ app on my phone. He left the garage immaculate! I was really pleased. The reduction in the noise level and the features of the mobile app for the new opener have made my life so much less stressful. No more driving around the corner to make sure I closed my garage door! I won't hesitate to recommend All-Star Garage Door to any homeowner needing their services. read more

I have to say the garage install was perfect. And probably better than originally expected since Jesus P. (Albert's installer) figured out a way to keep the garage gasket inside rather than outside the frame. He was extremely professional, courteous, and his workmanship is stellar. He made the install over a difficult uneven surface look like a new construction project. He patched up old holes left by the older hardware. He kept the site clean and pristine. The garage door construction is plumb and sealed up tight from the elements like a drum. I am beyond thrilled. I am glad these guys pulled through. read more
