This place absolutely socks. To use the card reader on the washing machine I used my card was declined 4 times. People who go here horde the larger machines of which there are only 3 and every time I've come here there are out of order signs on at least one of the 3 however I suspect it's a border putting a sign on it to prevent other patrons from using it. The other problem is that people will hog the larger machines for hours. I've come in and seen patterned clothes sitting in the stopped machine only to come back an ​​​hour later to see the same clothes just sitting there while every other machine is occupied They raised the rates and the service here is terrible. There should be signs telling patrons not to hog machines. Just today I came in and every dryer is occupied. So.e for a half hour with items of clothes in them. The credit card readers don't work on most of the machines anymore. (The Speed Queen on the far side near the dryers is okay.) Some dryers take your quarters without adding minutes. So you get the first 6 mins for a quarter and then nothing, no refund. The Maxi Load near the dryers takes only quarters, no cards. And then it won't start, and you just lost your money cause the coin return doesn't work either. I'm losing money with every visit. I call, I leave notes. No action. This place used to be better. Its a laundromat, so there ain't much to say, but the owner, Noel, does a great job. From installing credit-card readers on the machines to making sure that the hand sanitizer stations are filled, he's kept things safe, clean, and friendly during the pandemic. There are plenty of washing machines, and although I would love more dryers, there realistically isn't any other place to put them. The only thing I would complain about (grandmas using a whole-ass dryer for a single pillowcase) is totally out of the owner's control. read more

I got to the door five minutes before closing and the woman had already locked up. She was inside cleaning and when I knocked on the door she screamed at me to go away and said come back tomorrow. So now my sweaters will be sitting in the wash, soaking wet until they open tomorrow. Horrible woman. read more

Convenient location. Often out of quarters with several machines needing attention from management--but what can you do? This place gets the job done. You can mostly trust our neighbors by leaving your clothes unattended in the machines. Many people don't leave their stuff beyond the time it takes to clean/dry clothes in the machine. Most folks here are respectful. Never had any terrible incidents here. I have been washing my clothes here for 6 years. Last wash is at 8:45pm. read more

I go to this place because it is only a block from my house, and it's usually fine but the past 2 times I've gone the dryers have burned holes into my clothes!! I only use the lowest heat setting but still I find one of my clothes with black grease looking marks and holes in them. Just trying to warn others be careful. read more

Easy-to-use laundromat. I tend to use the washing machines on the other side (white / non-see-thru) because they have been (in my experience) more reliable and less likely to just eat your money. Always be wary of the left-over detergents that the machine hasn't eaten up (most importantly bleach) and pick a machine from there. The dryers are very powerful and can fit a lot. So if you do 2-3 loads in a wash, you can still probably fit them all into 1 dryer, and spend less than $2.00 to dry them all with the dryer on low-to-medium heat because of how powerful they are. There is a quarter machine in the mat just in case you forget quarters. It's a relatively quiet place, and I haven't experienced too much foot traffic, even on sunny days or on the weekends. read more

This laundromat is a simple place with decent machines. Yes, a few washers and dryers are broken for long periods of time, but if you do your laundry when most people don't, you'll be fine. The change machine always seems to have quarters and there are front-loading as well as top-loading washers, starting at $2.25 per load. Dryers are 25 cents for about 7 minutes. read more

So obviously, I lied-- I've continued going here. Because it's on my block. It's got a fancy name ("All Washed Up") that's cute, but they didn't do anything to the place besides paint on a name. The machines work more frequently, but it isn't the cleanest, most well-kept establishment. There's still gnarly leftovers in machines from time to time that I just pretend not to see. All Washed Up is always open when I need it; has adequate counter space, new (April 2017) front-loading eco-wash washers and a rinse sink near the wall of huge, efficient dryers ... plus the space is more than twice the size of any of its near competitors. I've seen it very busy (on weekends) but never crowded. Multi-ethnic neighborhood customers are a mix of USF students, families with children and upscale, educated singles working downtown. As a single girl I have always felt safe in this facility. I once lost an important ring in my washing, and left a drawing of it taped to the office door asking the management to PLEASE be on the lookout. A week later I received a call from Noel, the owner ... they'd found it when cleaning out a drain!! There's not much more one can expect of a laundrymat ... they don't offer in-house dry cleaning or café services, yet All Washed Up has everything one expects and needs. read more

I have been coming to this spot for laundry since about 2005 or so. Ever since the one on the same block as me closed. It is super convenient and the owner is a Richmond resident and great guy.they offer large machines for bigger loads. They have the best dryers in the neighborhood. One dryer can dry two loads in less than 28 min. That's a dollar!! It basically costs less than a snickers bar to dry two loads! Yet people complain. Prices of utilities have risen dramatically and while the cost of doing a load has risen slightly the prices are competitive fair and totally justifiable yet people complain. I know neighbors that have gone here for 15 years. Who lend each other quarters share detergent have conversations and watch people's clothes for them., yet people say it's "sketchy". This isn't a laundromat that serves kale or avocado toast. There is no one to hold your hand. Sometimes machines break because it's a high volume place. The owner always fixes things promptly. He fixes and replaces machines himself! Yet people whine and cry failing to acknowledge the importance of local small business ownership. I imagine those who complain are the same people that I hear outside describing the neighborhood that we have lived in for so long as "up and coming". I'm also assuming that they also complain about the "smell" on Clement St. The suckers still lined up @ Burma. So no. There is no artisanal coffee, digital machines, or the latest issue of Wired Magazine. There is a front door however. There are also neighborhoods in SF that do have laundromats with all of those things. If you are waiting for the Richmond to change. Don't hold your breath. We are Bay Ridge West Coast style.
