Wanted to try this place because of the hype. We went around 2:30pm for a late lunch hoping the lines were going to be short but that wasn't the case. The line was pretty long but it moved fast so it only took about 10-15 minutes when the line looked like it would be a minimum 30 min. And they are so busy, that they have 2 restaurants right across the street from one another and both have lines. Walking into the restaurant, it was pretty small with no seating. Pretty much just the deli and counter and that was it. We ended up eating outside next to the Pantheon so that was cool. Location is great considering it's so close to the Pantheon. Food was good too, nothing amazing considering the line but definitely a solid sandwich spot. We got their la boss and l'italiana and both were pretty tasty. Portions are pretty big too. Would recommend.

We stopped in to try a sandwich. We waited on line for about 25 minutes. The Golosa sandwich was okay. It had mortadella, burrata, pesto, and tomato. I wanted to see what all of the hype was about, so I was willing to stand in line for a sandwich. I wouldn't do it again though, as I didn't think that it was that good. There is no seating, so there is nothing else to really talk about. We sat by the pantheon and ate the big sandwich. 3 Stars

When in Italy, you have to try this place! This place originated in Florence. They have expanded to other parts of Italy and even to Los Angeles and New York. We went when we visited Rome in the summer and we lined up before the shop opened. And we weren't the only ones that had the idea of getting sandwiches in the morning. Even though it was a long line, it moved quickly and there were 2 lines because there were 2 storefronts, one at each corner. We waited probably for about 20-30 minutes. The menu is behind the counter and if you know your food names in Italian, you should be able to know what to order. You can also go on their website and they have the menu in English. We tried Beatrice, Tartufo, and the one with the suckling pig. One sandwich was too much for me! You can ask them to split it in half for you, which in retrospect, we could have shared the sandwiches. But we wanted to try as many items as possible! To call this a sandwich is almost inadequate. This creation is made with fresh focaccia. It has the delicious smell of olive oil and the perfect chew. It's a good vehicle for all the delicious meats and vegetables in the sandwich. My favorite sandwiches were the Beatrice and the one with the suckling pig. This is considered a street food, but it can get messy when you start eating. There was no outside or inside seating. We had to eat right outside the shop. We couldn't even wait to take a bite as soon as we got the sandwiches. This place is well worth the wait! Now that it is in the , I cannot wait to try them here!

Late on a Saturday night, after getting back from a day trip out of Rome, my mom and I wanted a small bite to eat. I had this spot bookmarked and had seen the long lunch lines every time we walked past. Coming around dinner time on a Saturday night, there was absolutely no line and I walked straight up to the counter to place my order. We decided to split the Italian sandwich which came with plenty of basil, mozzarella, tomato, and prosciutto. The bread had great taste and had been drizzled with olive oil. For the price, the portion was massive and I can see why these sandwiches are so popular. But given the hype of this particular spot, I would not have spent any significant amount of time in line waiting for this sandwich when there are so many other great sandwiches in Rome that don't have such crazy wait times.

So I lost the top half of my sandwich when I dropped it crossing the street, but this was the most amazing sandwich. The freshest bread (half of it lol) was loaded with arugula, cappocola, and heaps of truffle cream. Def was heavy and decadent but not in a bad way at all.

I was walking by when I saw almost no line at All'Antico Vinaio - Roma! You can't pass a gift when it's presented to you, right? I took a look at the menu board, then all of a sudden there were 8 people in line! Humph...okay I had to join the queue. When my turn came, I ordered the Tartufo1 panino. This is foccacia bread sliced in half to make it very thin, stracchino (like fluffy cream cheese), cream of truffle spread, mortadella with truffle bits and arugula. The cheese makes the truffle sauce less salty. Mortadella is perfect for this combination sandwich since it's light. The arugula adds some bite. The best combination! Ordering was easy. The cashier & sandwich maker were both nice. Some people immediately start eating their panino. I got mine and enjoyed it in the comfort of a hotel room. Note: Take out only. During their busy time, they have an adjoining shop open too.

What an incredible sandwich! Be prepared for a long wait, but it is well worth it. I went with the Tortufa 3, which came with truffle salami, pecorino cheese, and honey. The basic ingredients went together so perfectly inside the garlicy focaccia. The sandwiches are huge, but they are so good you won't want to leave any. A must stop if in the area.

Delicious famous sandwiches. Super fast service. Reliable food. What's not to love about this place?

Sandwich was huge. I ordered it at 10:30 am and wasnt hungry until dinner time. Sandwich was very good, but not mind blowing. Line-ups get very long, so be sure to get there early. Although the line-up is long, the service is very efficient and you'll get through quickly. Note that this for takeaway, and there is no seating.

Ordered: La Tricolore (~€11): carpaccio di manzo, stracciatella, crema di pistacchio e granella di nocciole La Beatrice (~€11): carpaccio di manzo, stracchino, crema di tartufo Aya's take: I've known about the infamous All'Antico Vinaio as it opened in NYC where I first tried it. But I have to say, the sandwiches here, the quality, the overall vibe is superior! Both sandwiches were delicious. The beef carpaccio was super fresh, plentiful, and had a unique fresh flavor. Out of the 2, I preferred La Beatrice as it had truffle cream which made it so addicting. The lines move quick, so definitely give this a try!

As I was walking around my first evening, I saw this sandwich place. I came back today to get a sandwich for late lunch. As everything is in Italian, I told them what I wanted. Service was quick and efficient. This is the third place in Rome where you pay before you get your item: I was told many others had ordered and not paid. Very sad to hear this. The ambiance is very traditional Italian!!!!

Oh how I loved this place! Amazing sandwiches with only the best ingredients! Ran into this hole in the wall on our way to the Pantheon...wow what a special treat! The line was extremely long BUT went by fast & of course definitely worth all the wait. Their menu is decently size but not over baring where you can't make up your mind lot of choices Vegetarian or those that love a meat sandwich! The joint is small literally it can hold about 10 people at the most inside. The staff are pleasant considering that they have to deal with multiple tourists daily. All in all we waited, ordered and paid for our 4 sandwiches with about 30 mins and definitely worth the wait and time l! This is a must go to place I'm sure you've seen the Tik Tok videos and the Hype is legit real!

I'm not proud of it ,but I waited on line for about 40 mins. I also walked 20 minutes from my hotel to try this .But, I could not come to Rome ,and leave without trying this. I had the best sandwich I've ever had in my entire existence. The sandwich had cream of pistachio, cheese, mortadella, and crushed pistachios . It was so simple ,yet so delicious. They use the best ingredients. Definitely worth the wait. You will not be disappointed. If ever in Rome, I will absolutely be coming back.
