Dr. Parker is a great dentist who put me at ease despite a traumatic history with awful dentists. The dental technician who cleaned my teeth was also very good, and gentle. My granddaughter comes here and loves the staff who have taken great care of her (the reason I decided to come here after many years of not seeing a dentist. Updating my review. Again, the dentist and technicians are very good; but I don't like getting lied to, multiple times. I was specifically told by their desk people that the practice took the insurance I had to change to since the insurance I had previously, was not insurance they took (but never bothered to tell me about leaving me nearly $1000 in dental bills). A lie of omission. Once I change my insurance to one they said they took, turns out that was a lie as well. Again, the dentist and technician are fine, but this is a medical practice which will hit you with surprise medical billing, which appears to be a common practice nowadays. Recommend getting, in writing, the insurance these people take, and what the anticipated bill will be prior to your appointment.

So when I was looking for a dentist in the area I had no clue where to go since I just recently moved to this area. Searched on my dental insurance app and found this place and set everything up online. Skeptical because I'd never been there before and don't know anyone to ask about it. Went to my appointment and really didn't have to wait long at all to be seen which was nice. I liked the technology that they had and how they make sure that they have a record of where you started out at. It was a very comprehensive examination of my teeth and what will be needed to get them back on track after the years of neglect. They really seemed to care and to make sure that I knew everything that was going on. Everything was presented right in front of me on a screen and I could see everything happening. I was seen by 3 different people. The first lady was there the whole time and she took my medical history and all the xrays/pictures that was needed. Then another lady checked my gums to see if there was anything wrong along the gum line. Then finally I met the dentist. She looked at my teeth and noted any trouble spots to the first lady. She told me what was going on in my mouth and what would be needed to repair and clean everything. So for a first dental appointment in over 12 years this wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. There wasn't any actual cleaning of my teeth at this time. It was just a comprehensive check of where my teeth are right now and I've got another appointment set in 2 weeks to get started on my teeth. Long review I know, but wanted to give an overview of my first experience with a very awesome dental office. They also have a comfort dog there if needed!

However, they made an administrative mistake and they refused to acknowledge it (I'm sure this is for legal reasons, but this is a bummer because I just wanted an apology, not even my money back). They assured me my last treatment was in network, and I planned for it to be. When I left the office for the last time I paid my copay, and they confirmed that I had nothing else to pay them; I planned to no longer be a patient with them. However, that apparently was not the case, and I was already out of network during my last treatment, and I had more to pay? I ended up paying half a thousand dollars for not knowing this. Even, when trying to reach my insurance company and requesting for the coverage they said would be sent to me (it wasn't) they will not offer to pay the amount this dental company is asking for, they will only give me $250. When I called them, I tried to have a conversation with Dona where she refused to acknowledge any mistake or sympathy to my situation and constantly shifted the blame on to me. I even took ownership when she accused me that this was because I didn't communicate enough, after which she still chose to not acknowledge or take any accountability over the situation. They offer great dental services and if you plan on pursuing dental service with them try to get everything in writing beforehand, so this doesn't happen to you. Dona if you are reading this, I have no ill will against you and I'm not trying to scam your office. Why would I when I've made every payment in the past? Dr.Norbo please work with your office to make sure this doesn't happen to a patient again, please hold them accountable. Please be precise with your patients when you are dropping their plan, or when a patient plans on leaving and you assure them there is no further bill. It's unethical to have patients be the middleman and pay for the mistakes of professional dental/medical services and insurance companies.

I was told about Dr. Smith's "bed side" manners and made an appt. His staff, and him have always made me feel comfortable and welcome. He tells you the truth if it's something you might not want to hear, like if fillings are a temporary solution and it's probably going to need a crown in the future. It's one of the last few offices that still provide laughing gas, they also let me wear my headphones so I don't get anxiety from the drills and noises. If you are looking for a quality dentist who listens to their patients and does high-quality work,…read morethen do NOT come here. I recently moved from Texas to this area and I was in need of finding a new dentist. I reached out to Emily Mayhew's team and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning on 8/29/2022. During that meeting, they indicated to me I had two cavities which needed to be filled. I returned on 8/30/2022 to have the work performed. On 9/20/2022, a large piece of the filling on my top right molar literally broke away from the tooth exposing extremely rough areas underneath the filling material that were roughended by the drill. Today, 9/22/2022, I returned to the office to express my concerns and have the rough area of the exposed tooth protected again. Instead of what every other dentist in the history of dentistry does when a filling fails (re-apply the affected area and re-smooth the tooth), Emily Mayhew insinuated I was a liar by stating several times, "Well I don't know what broke off," took a little picture of the filling towards the middle of my tooth, and stated everything was "fine." I told her numerous times it was the back-right quarter of the tooth that was exposed and rough now. I believe she was more concerned about saving money on dental supplies from an unprofitable return visit than she was about her new patient's concerns surrounding her shoddy work that failed. My tooth is still extremely rough from the drilling in the area where her shoddy work failed. Now that the enamel has literally been drilled away by Emily Mayhew to expose the dentin below, I am highly concerned that there will continue to be decay to that molar. I am seriously considering speaking with a malpractice attorney in order to have the issue rectified. On top of all this, they don't take insurance. You are expected to pay out of pocket and hope that your insurance company reimburses you. I regret ever taking my dental health and placing it in the hands of this hack who is more worried about money than their hippocratic oath to help their patients.
