Here's a long overdue review. We had Allen Floors replace all the carpet in our house with new carpet and laminate this summer. I shopped this around a lot. When it came to price, quality and availability, they couldn't be beat. Johnny and David were helpful, laid back, friendly and great to work with. Johnny made sure we always knew where we were in the process from material delivery to which crew would be installing and when. If half the salespeople and contractors I know communicated this well, they'd be rich. Their showroom has a ton of products, but isn't overly fancy-it doesn't need to be. They'll be honest with you about the products they recommend. We also have animals, so we were concerned about scratching wood. Johnny recommended a laminate (we've had laminate previously so we are familiar) and it is awesome. People can't tell it's not real wood. The carpet even six months after still gets complimented and you can feel the softness under foot when wearing shoes. I would and have recommended Johhny O, David, and Allen Floors. Highly. If you're looking for the opulent showroom and the kiss-a** salesperson, go elsewhere. If you want quality products, good local business, and install you'll appreciate long after- go to Allen Floors. read more

We recently got new carpet with Allen Floors. Floors were great, installation was smooth and very well done, and working with David and Johnny was such a pleasure. They really know their products well and helped us brainstorm what would work best for our family and our budget, without trying to push us into spending more than we wanted/needed. Johnny was extremely helpful and patient in answering all my flooring questions and allowed me all the time I needed to look at all the samples several times, including taking samples home and back until I was completely sure what I wanted. I decided on a wood floor for the entire downstairs and tile for 3 bathrooms. Johnny explained the process and the timeline to which I should expect from the floor installation. The installers the were on-time (a rare find in a contractor), friendly, clean, and hard working. They even finished the job sooner than expected and my floors turned out even better than I envisioned! Several years later I was having work done in my house, unrelated to flooring, but a floor transitional piece needed to be changed out. I called Allen Floors. David helped me find the right piece, ordered it for me, and I was able to pick it up the same day. The service given to me by both Johnny and David were impressive. I will be back when I am ready to re-carpet the upstairs. I highly recommend Allen Floors for all your flooring needs! read more

Installers were great. But office manager- owner is awful! When we were looking for floors, I wanted wood or tile. The guy told my boyfriend " I feel sorry for you. She has expensive taste". I wanted sturdy floors that would hold up to three large dogs. He talked us into laminate floors instead of what I wanted.... He was insulting and brash. Then the nightmares began, my refrigerator broke and leaked all over....ruined that area. Called and left a message to Allen Floors, no call back ever. Two years later my floors already need to be replaced. The laminate wood does NOT hold up to dogs. He lied and schemed just to get a sale. read more

We did a fair amount of due diligence when deciding which flooring company to use. We thought we had done an excellent job. That flooring company did us wrong and we walked. We were pretty disillusioned when we came upon Allen Floors but we needed flooring so we thought we would give it one more try. We are the luckiest people in Allen Texas. We found an excellent flooring company owned and run by David and Johnny. Both of these men have integrity and honesty and a willingness to work with you. They sell excellent flooring at the best possible price. Their work crews have been with them numerous years And they don't sub their work out. That in itself, is amazing. I am more than willing to let anyone that wants a real reference see the flooring in our home. The old adage: you get what you pay for is very true. Worst customer service. Poor quality of work. Did not follow up on the work after the contract was signed or return phone calls. Ended up paying more than the negotiated price. Very disappointed. Will never go back there or recommend them to anyone. read more
