PRO TIP: This would be a lovely place to bring a coffee and spend an hour wandering around in the middle of winter. It's so warm and bright in here! An employee watering some plants asked me if I needed help, then walked me over to their Low Light Plant section. There were half a dozen or so smaller snake plants available, several of them showing new growth already! They were $10; I feel like that's exactly what I was expecting/hoping to pay. When I was cashing out, the person in front of me was buying a bouquet of flowers. The employee at the register softly inquired if they were for any special occasion. Come to find out they were a surprise for his wife "just because"; the employee then wrapped them up in such a pretty, thoughtful way (and I don't think he was charged for it). So the second you step out of your car and approach the greenhouse, your imagination kicks into gear. It's much more helpful than shopping rows and clumps of plants without really seeing them next to their garden mates. Also a great selection of native plants. The prices are higher than a big box store but comparable to other local nurseries. And the staff has always been helpful and friendly when I have questions.

Come in". So I do, awkwardly, feeling like I'm an inconvenience but wondering why she hooked her door open at all. After browsing for a few moments while she prepares out back, she returns. I shyly ask if it's okay to take any pictures as I was going to use her beautiful space that I love for a presentation at school, (horticulture). She frantically throws up her hand telling me no and acting really frantic. I understand hard days, and I understand stress, but for the love of your community, keep your door locked on days where you just can't be bothered. These hardware stores are closing due to these competitors, yet they have no concern for the folks who chose them over the big box stores. Why would you go from convenient hours of 8a-6p for people who work. NOW, they are open weekdays for people who don't work!!! 9-5 known business hours yet they will be open for those who: a. Live local b. Work local c. People who don't work. I do not have the time to wait until Saturday for my need. I can order it in line and get it by Friday! Their website says "give us a call" number says person not available and beeps! So is that your number or is it not? Guessing games not my thing. Come wednesday, I wait til about 11 am (after they open at 9) today and call. He says yup we've got you on the schedule for sometime this afternoon. I wait and call back at 3:15pm (because they close at 4) and say hey I'm just checking on that install since I know you close at 4. He says "did you call mark?" I'm like I wasn't given marks info. I haven't heard anything since I called this morning. He said "he will leave a note. Mark should be back around 4/4:30." i vocalize that i stayed home specifically today because i was told the install would be today and am gone thursday, friday and all next week. I call back 3:55 to get marks number and of course go to voice-mail. "Closed for the day". I'll just go somewhere else at this point. I then get a voice-mail the next morning from Ryan "The is Ryan from LP appliance, give me a call when you get the chance. I'm sorry about yesterday but it sounds like you'll be happy to go someplace else. I saw your little display on Facebook (meaning my factual review of this experience) on Facebook. I stopped by to inquire about having a reversing valve in my Whynter heat pump (portable ac unit with heat) and as I had already done the troubleshooting and identified that the reversing valve is the problem and this unit uses the same universal reversing valve found in many hvac units. I found the exact part on Amazon for $12.95. They said they don't know if they can source the part. Really? I just finished telling you boomers that I already identified the part and it is a fairly universal part. I was perfectly willing to pay a few hundred for the part to be replaced as I no longer have torches for brazing nor AC gauges to charge it properly. Good grief. Stop complaining about Amazon if you are turning away business, especially where you have an engineer who already identified not only what is wrong, but that this particular model doesn't even use a universal part. If I had the torches, goggles, a vacuum pump, and the gauges, I would repair it myself. Why are you turning away what would have been an extremely easy job and a quick couple hundred bucks in pure profit? What the heck is wrong with brick and mortars today? Y'all don't want to work anymore.
