Stopped into the new Allende Cocina Mexicana after a day full of adventures with friends and man did it hit the spot! My favorite was the esquites with bread. The house marg was tasty and fresh. Service was excellent, our waitress was super sweet and prompt. The food definitely filled us up and we had leftovers. Inside is decorated in a boho style and is all brand new! It is a little pricey but the food is worth it

The food was delicious! We had a big group so was really happy to have a table separate from the main dining area, it felt more intimate. The pitcher for margaritas was perfect for the group. I had enchiladas which was amazing, the sauces were good too. I would definitely recommend. Especially the service was also great.

I enjoyed dinner and drinks at Allende! Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is decorated well. The margarita was delicious and my friend loved her pina collada. I highly recommend getting the corn appetizer. It was very unique and so delicious. I ordered three tacos. The flavors were really good and all the ingredients tasted high quality and fresh. My favorite tacos were the chicken tinga and birria.

I heard amazing things about this restaurant which opened I believe a few months ago and the food lived up to the hype!! The squash blossom quesadilla was delicious, corn tortilla tasted fresh and house made, and mushrooms savory and flavorful. Portion on its own might not be enough for a full meal but was happy with the shared esquite appetizer. Burrito portion was larger and friend said delicious! They even gave us complimentary birthday dessert - flan cheesecake, waitress sang, and they gave a cool presentation. The only downside was the horchata which lacked in flavoring and texture (think sweet milk). Food, service, and ambience were incredible!

I loved the look of the restaurant! It is pretty small, but has an open feeling with a long bar and views into the kitchen. I love the cream city brick walls. The food is more elevated than your typical Mexican restaurant. It felt less greasy than a lot of places. The meals were somewhat small and didn't come with rice and beans, but you could order those separately. I had the Quesadilla Grande with steak. It had a good amount of meat and came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. The Allende margarita was good and you could taste the tequila! Our server was kind and attentive.

This spot fills a gap Milwaukee didn't know it had. It's simple yet classy, traditional yet thoughtful Mexican. The menu focuses on traditional Mexican favorites. A reasonable variety of interesting vegetarian options as well. (Nopales, squash, grilled salad, esquites) Our stand out: birria taco (or quesabirria!) we said wow about 5 times each while eating Honorable mention: Al pastor Salsa trio is great - the spicy one does build tho! So so so good. The house margarita is one of the better ones I've had in the city. It's tequila forward but not too much and lime is perfect. It's the kind of place you could just as easily settle into for a casual dinner as you could post up at the bar and watch a game on the 3 TVs by the bar. We will be back - probably this week

The food was fresh and tasty and service was friendly and quick . I liked the ambiance was there in early afternoon on a holiday.

We stopped here on a Wednesday night on a whim. The first taste of the margarita was disappointing. While it was tasty, it resembled limeade and was not very spirit forward. The fajitas were good and there was a nice size however, the enchiladas were a bit disappointing. I know downtown prices are typically more expensive, but I feel that this was overpriced for the quality.

So... went with some friends to Allende on a Saturday night. First time for all of us to the New Mexican restaurant in the Third Ward. Positives: food was flavorful, I liked the salsas (especially the habanero one) and I like how they updated the former Stackd burger restaurant. They've got some work to do on execution: our table had to go to the bar to order a round of drinks since server was too busy, risotto was crunchy - not al dente, and one of the burritos was cold. I'm giving a 4 based on my optimism the service and execution will improve.

After seeing this restaurant recommended by local MKE TikTok accounts, I decided to give it a try . All I can say is wow Coming from a larger city, it's not often you come across a gem like this. I love the modern twist they bring to Mexican cuisine. It's not your traditional Mexican food, but rather an upscale take that still respects authentic flavors. The ingredients taste fresh and high quality, and you can tell the dishes are thoughtfully prepared. This definitely feels like a date-night or celebration spot, somewhere you go when you want a special dining experience. At the same time, their specials are very affordable, which makes it easy to come back. The kitchen is led by Chef Cesar, the owner, and you can really tell there's pride behind the food. His wife, Yolanda, runs the restaurant, and the hospitality shows throughout the whole experience. The staff was also wonderful. Jose the bartender was especially great and made some really delicious drinks. From the moment you walk in, the team genuinely wants you to enjoy your experience. If you're looking for elevated Mexican cuisine, great drinks, and a place perfect for a night out, this spot is definitely worth visiting. I would love to see in the future a brunch menu. The space, location, and vibe would make this an ideal brunch spot.

Great service! Amazing food! The only problem is the parking, sometimes is hard to find one, but no problem we'll be back soon!

I realize it's a new place. However, the service was extremely slow. The food was served cold and the prices were at best marginal.

They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

The space is cozy and dim and well decorated. The staff are always kind. some are more helpful or informative than others. You can pair the cheeses with every drink on the menu or try pre-paired boards. You can also buy cheeses from the dairy and others, as well as assorted related products at a small retail section or cut fresh from the cheese case. Parking is on the street and can be a pain in this saturated area. The reason for the drop in stars? Prior visits got you more wines and more food to pair it with. This visit had prices steady but fewer wines, less cheese and $1 upcharge for some wafer crackers. I know the economy is not great right now, but this now seems like an expensive place to bring friends, not a reasonable day outing.
