We dropped into Paloma Taco and Tequila on Saturday around 5:30 pm with no reservation. It wasn't super busy, so they were able to seat us, but to be honest the staff was unnecessarily rude/short with us. For not being overly busy, they could have been a little more welcoming. We asked if we could wait to be seated outside because it was a beautiful evening and they quickly said 'it's all booked, you can only sit inside', but then sat another walk-in table out there about 10 min after we had gotten situated. We considered asking to be moved, but didn't want to ruffle anymore feathers. Overall, service was not very polite, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they were understaffed and something was off that day. Lucky for them, the food and drink made up for it! I got their higher quality margarita, the Mi Margarita, and it came in a 16 oz glass which was a nice surprise for $12. It had great flavor to it and was very easy to suck down! We shared chips with salsa & queso, the queso was SO good! very good flavor and texture. I was going to go with street tacos but when we asked the waitress what they were known for she said their Paloma Taco Pocket so I went with that and I am so glad I did! It was like a gourmet crunchwrap supreme - DELICIOUS! You could choose your meat and I went with Pork, it was a great option. Overall, the restaurant vibe and food was great and I will look forward to going back - hopefully the staff will be a little friendlier next time!

I have lived in this neighborhood for over a month and I have been wanting to go ever since I moved here. Finally got to go today. We arrived on Saturday noon. They were moderately busy, but we had no problem finding a place at the bar. My friend and I ordered Various tacos and several margaritas. The service was good and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Amazing eclectic authentic tacos! I mean Brussels sprout tacos?! Yes pork and pineapple? Yes gringo? Yes asada? Yes bucket of Mexican beers? Yes beans and cheese or just queso? Yes! Service is great. Very attentive they'll help you with suggestions. Plenty of room outdoors with the extended patio. Take out available . I highly recommend it if in the area

The evening of our visit it was cold, dreary, rainy, windy, yucky... but we were seated at a table on the covered, heated patio and with a margarita in hand, I was in heaven! The chips were to die for! We had cheese dip, guacamole, and salsa. Two of us shared a quesadilla while the others ordered tacos. I can't wait to go back! The restaurant we visited was super small (yet cozy!). I was told the other location has a lot more space. So if you have a larger group, you may want to choose the other location.

I have been to Paloma (the Tosa location) so many times and have never been disappointed! My go-to item is the paloma taco pocket, basically an elevated version of a crunch wrap supreme, SO good. I love their chips too, they're very thick and have a lot of flavor. Always gotta have their queso as well. Their quesadillas are huge and you could definitely have one for 2 meals. I've always been happy with the service here too.

I have wanted to try Paloma for a while now, and finally got the chance to stop in! For a weekday night, it was busy! We waited about 20 minutes for a seat at the bar area, but we did get served drinks while we waited. We got their margarita to start while we waited. The staff was all very friendly and attentive and the inside is well decorated and welcoming. Though, when it is colder out, I do wish the waiting area was a little bigger. After getting seated at the bar we ordered chips, salsa, and queso and they were gone in a blink of an eye. We also ordered the house infusion margarita, pineapple jalapeno, yum! It was the perfect spicy margarita and paired well with our entrees. We enjoyed the Paloma Taco Pocket, Spicy Chicken Taco, and the Gringo All the Way! Taco. The flavors were amazing and we will definitely be back for more!

Walking in I was pleasantly surprised by how open and bright it is inside. I live a good well lite restaurant. Be careful if it's wet outside. That new concrete they have is super slippery in Crocs lol. They do a great job of accommodating certain allergies. I can't have citrus and they were able to make me drinks without it. I appreciated that. I thought this restaurant was truly wheelchair accessible but there's only 1 problem...there are random unnecessary steps throughout this whole place. Which I thought was odd. Now let's get to the food. Whew!!! I wasn't expecting how good the food was. It was fantastic. I had Birria tacos and unfortunately they are a special that only happens twice a year. That's so sad. If these were on the regular menu I would've given them 5 stars. I just thank God I was there during the time they were available. THESE WERE THEE BEST BIRRIA TACOS I HAVE EVER HAD. If you are lucky enough to be there while they are on special GET THEM. Get 2 orders. I wish I had gotten 2 orders lol.

I've been to Paloma several times now and it has never disappointed me. The only downside I've found is that Paloma is extremely popular and busy and seating is limited so there is often a wait to get a table or counter space. The servers are all quite friendly and efficient. The owner is extremely nice and very hands on. The food is excellent. I particularly love the tuna tostadas, but there are great options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The corn and avocado quesadilla is amazing and can feed a group. Drinks are interesting and excellent. Everything is just great at this little gem.

I'm still kicking myself for waiting so long to try out Paloma when they're less than 10 minutes from my house. I've heard good things about them forever and FINALLY decided to check it out. My only regret is not having gone sooner now! Seating is definitely a hot commodity so either get there early, be prepared to wait, or order to go. That being said the indoor seating feels intimate without being crowded. The colors are bright and fun without being gaudy. Managed to show up during happy hour and the classic margarita did not disappoint! If you're a tequila fan you'll be super happy with the 30+ tequila options available as well. While I don't remember exactly which three tacos I had, I know they were all delicious and would happily order anything else off the menu as well to give it a try. And any restaurant that has a dedicated section for doggos on their menu gets a big thumbs up from me!

I had to laugh reading some of the reviews for Paloma. People complaining that there is too much seasoning? Maybe because I'm from the east coast, and my biggest critique with midwest food, having lived in Chicago since 2017, is that there is never enough seasoning, but c'mon people! This might be the very best Mexican food in the midwest! Is there going to be a wait to get a seat? If you're not there before 6 on a weeknight, almost certainly yes. But, once you're seated and order, food is brought out promptly and fresh. I could not have been happier with the options and execution of the dishes at Paloma. So many vegan options and opportunities to alter a taco or burrito. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The crispy tofu burrito, in particular, was out of this world. Perfect balance of texture, heat, and flavors, the kind of thing where you wish you weren't so full because you'd love to have another. Just incredible. This is how Mexican food should be made, and I am so glad I stumbled upon it this week. Paloma is now an absolute must whenever I'm in Milwaukee. Oh, and a giant burrito, two appetizers, and a taco for under $30 with tip? You will never find a better deal. Keep up the excellent work!

First time Paloma visitor and WOW! Visited on a Wednesday evening with a close friend (both first timers) and we were blown away. It is a small restaurant, perfect for a date night with charming decor and good vibes/people! We were sat at the bar and were quick to tell the staff that we were first timers who would appreciate any recommendations. We ordered our drinks ($5 for an NA cocktail is quite the deal IMO), and both were delish! The staff came back and asked us if we had decided on a appetizer but we had been chatting/catching up so we hadn't really considered - she was SO KIND to just offer to "surprise us with something amazing". We took her up on the offer and OMG, amazing. Our appetizer was the hot chips, add avocado and corn - the people next to us turned to us and said, woah we're getting our hot chips like that next time! SO SO GOOD!! And so fun, to be surprised with something that was so yummy. We both also got tacos thereafter, I oped for the cajun shrimp taco while my friend got the pineapple carnitas with queso crunch taco shell - you DEFINITELY need to try the queso crunch taco shell. That was another recommendation by the staff that we were sure glad they provided. Overall, sitting at the bar, we had like 3-4 people help to take our orders/ask us about our meal/assist which isn't exactly the common thing at restaurants, normally you have 1 server who is checking it but it was kind of fun to have everyone taking interest in your experience and prepared to help make it as enjoyable as possible. I texted a few friends the next day recommending Paloma as their next date night spot and I cannot wait to come back with my taco loving husband!

We stopped here after dinner, so we stuck mostly with the cocktails. Unfortunately, nothing on the seasonal menu really stuck out to me. I stuck with the "traditional" cocktails (spicy watermelon bubblegum, and then banana daiquiri). Hubs went for the halo halo food (which was so cute! All the typical ingredients but served in cubist fashion), and the paired drink. The paired drink was supposed to have different layers of flavor, but they all mixed together quite a bit. Tasty, just not the "layered" experience we thought. I think they almost do themselves a disservice comparing themselves to the aviary - that is a crazy high bar to meet. Granted, maybe we would have been more impressed if we had more of the seasonal cocktails despite them not seeming interesting? Probably wouldnt go out of my way to go here again, but it is a cool vibe and the cocktails were good.
